Imam Ali (AS) said, Work for the day for which the provisions have been stored and in which the secrets will be revealed.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Work while you are still alive, and while the books are [still] open, repentance is [still] accepted, the one who has strayed is [still] called [back], and the sinner is [still] given hope [of forgiveness]; before action abates, time expires, life ends and the door of repentance is closed.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : اِعْمَلُوا وَ أنْتُمْ في آوِنَةِ البَقاءِ وَ الصُّحُفُ مَنْشُورَةٌ وَ التَّوْبَةُ مَبْسُوطَةٌ وَ المُدْبِرُ يُدْعى وَ المُسِيءُ يُرْجى قَبْلَ أنْ يَخْمُدَ العَمَلُ وَ يَنْقَطِعَ المَهَلُ وَتَنْقَضِيَ المُدَّةُ وَ يُسَدَّ بابُ التَّوْبَةِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Be wary of every action which, when its doer is asked about it, he feels ashamed and denies it.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Keep away from every act that repels the freeman from you, or lowers your status, or brings harm upon you, or because of which you have to bear a burden on the Day of Judgment.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : إيّاكَ وَ كُلَّ عَمَل يُنَفِّرُ عَنْكَ حُرّاً أوْ يُذِلُّ لَكَ قَدْراً أوْ يَجْلِبُ عَلَيْكَ شَرّاً أوْ تَحْمِلُ بِهِ إلَى القِيامَةِ وِزْراً

Imam Ali (AS) said, Is no one ready to work for his soul before the day of his misery [and adversity]?!
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : ألا عامِلٌ لِنَفْسِهِ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ بُؤْسِهِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Act now, while the tongues are free, the bodies are healthy, the limbs can be flexed, there is room for change and the area of movement is vast; before all this is lost and death comes – so be certain about its coming and do not wait for it to overtake you.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : ألا فَاعْمَلُوا وَ الألْسُنُ مُطْلَقَةٌ وَ الأبْدانُ صَحيحَةٌ وَ الأعْضاءُ لُدْنَةٌ وَ المُنْقَلَبُ فَسِيحٌ وَ المَجالُ عَريضٌ قَبْلَ إزْهاقِ الفَوْتِ وَ حُلُولِ المَوْتِ فَحَقِّقُوا عَلَيْكُمْ حُلُولَهُ وَ لاتَنْتَظِرُوا قُدُومَهُ

hadith 7182
Imam Ali (AS) said, Act now, O servants of Allah, while the neck is free [from the noose] and the spirit is unfettered in the period of guidance, while the bodies are at ease and the rest of your life lies ahead, while you have the free will to act, the opportunity to seek repentance and chance to rectifying your misdeeds. [So act] before you are overtaken by straitened circumstances and distress, fear and weakness, and before the approach of the anticipated hidden one (i.e. the Angel of Death) and the seizing of the Almighty, the Omnipotent.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : ألا فَاعْمَلُوا عِبادَ اللّهِ وَ الخَناقُ مُهْمَلٌ وَ الرُّوحُ مُرْسَلٌ في فِينَةِ الإرْشادِ وَ راحَةِ الأجسادِ وَ مَهَلِ البَقيَّةِ وَ أُنُفِ المَشِيَّةِ وَ إنْظارِ التَّوبَةِ وَانْفِساحِ الحَوْبَةِ قَبْلَ الضَّنْكِ وَ المَضيقِ وَ الرَّدْعِ وَ الزُّهُوقِ قَبْلَ قُدُومِ الغائِبِ المُنْتَظَرِ وَ أخْذَةِ العَزيزِ المُقْتَدِرِ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Indeed you are in the days of hope after which is death; so whoever acts in the days of his hope before the coming of his death, his action benefits him and his death does him no harm.
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : ألا وَ إنَّكُمْ في أيَّامِ أمَل مِنْ وَرائِهِ أجَلٌ فَمَنْ عَمِلَ في أيّامِ أمَلِهِ قَبْلَ حُضُورِ أجَلِهِ نَفَعَهُ عَمَلُهُ وَ لَم يَضْرُرْهُ أجَلُهُ

Imam Ali (AS) said, Where are those who make their actions sincere for Allah and purify their hearts by the remembrance of Allah?!
الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ) : أيْنَ الَّذينَ أخْلَصُوا أعْمالَهُمْ لِلّهِ وَ طَهَّرُوا قُلُوبَهُمْ بِمَواضِعِ ذِكْرِ (نَظَرِ) اللّهِ ؟!
