“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Whatever of the prey is caught in the snare which is cut off or has died is dead.’”

"The Messenger of Allah (swt), peace be upon him and his family, used to travel on Thursdays."

Hadith.1053 - Abdullah ibn Sulayman asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about a person who experiences nosebleed during prayer and is only able to stop it by sniffing. Is this permissible? Imam (as) said: "Yes."

My father was seated and Abdullah bin Sulaiman Sairafi, Abu Marahif and Saalim Ashal were also seated with him. Abdullah bin Sulaiman asked my father: O Abal Fadhl, do you know that a son is born to Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) and he has named so and so as Musa. Is that right? asked Saalim. Yes, replied Abdullah. Saalim said: By Allah, if this report is correct, it is more pleasing to me than getting 500 dinars for my family, whereas the fact is that at present I am needful even for five dirhams for myself and my family. Abdullah bin Sulaiman asked: How is this so important to you? He replied: It has reached to us in traditions that Almighty Allah described Qaim Aale Muhammad (a.s) to Musa Ibn Imran. Musa pleaded: O Allah, please deem him to be from Bani Israel. Almighty Allah said: This is not possible. After that he pleaded: O Allah, make me among his helpers. It was revealed to him: This is also not possible. After that he pleaded: O Allah, make him my namesake. It was revealed: I have bestowed it to you (that is he would be named as Musa).

“I heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), say, ‘Providing Benevolent Assistance repels wicked encounters.’”

“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about ivory. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful and I have one ivory comb.’”

I heard Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) say: "Whoever grants a man safety over his life and then kills him will come on the Day of Judgment carrying the banner of treachery."

“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘Wudu’ after Ghusl (bath) is heresy.’”

“I heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), saying, ‘Whoever provides a commitment of immunity to someone but then kills him, he on the Day of Judgment will come, carrying the banner of betrayal.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Abdullah ibn Sulayman has been transmitted by me from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan Al-Saffar, from Ya'qub ibn Yazid, from Safwan ibn Yahya and Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umayr together, from Abdullah ibn Sulayman.

“I once heard Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), saying that Ali (a.s.), would say, ‘Had Banu al-Khattab not prohibited al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) before (the beginning of my administration) no one would commit fornication except the wicked ones.’”

“Once, my father saw a man walking with his son who was leaning against his father’s arm. My father in dislike never spoke to him until he left this world.”

“Now hath come unto you an Apostle from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful.” [The Holy Quran: Tauba 9:128], he said: “This means that whatever bothers you is hard for us to stand, and we are eager to see you in comfort. He is ardently anxious over your comfort, and is kind and merciful to the Believers, that is our Shiites.”

“About cheese abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Everything is lawful for you until two witnesses testify before you that it is dead animal.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) once said to me, ‘Our cause had still been hidden until the children of Kisan began to speak of it on the roads, villages and in large places.’”

“The earth has never been without a person with Divine authority who would teach people about the lawful and unlawful matters and call them to the path of Allah.”

about the words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High. “In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the distinguished ones.” (15:75) The Imams (a.s.) said, “These people are the Imams (a.s.) and the evidence will never depart us.”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘Whatever is not according to the book of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, is returned to the book of Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, and al -Sunnah.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that it is in the book of Ali (a.s.), that if the eyes move or the leg runs or the tail moves and you can achieve such opportunity, you then must slaughter it.’”

“The world will still have an authority from Allah knowing the permissible and impermissible things and inviting people to the way of Allah.”
