Al-Kāfi
Hadith 2134الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْعَاجِ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ وَ إِنَّ لِي مِنْهُ لَمُشْطاً .
5. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman who has said the following: “I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about ivory. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful and I have one ivory comb.’”
