Hadith.2631 - Muhammad ibn Ali al-Halabi asked Imam (as) about a woman in Ihram: "Can she wear trousers (sarawil)?" Imam (as) replied: "Yes, as she intends by that to maintain modesty."

He said: "Do not pray behind someone who declares you to be an unbeliever (kafir), and do not pray behind someone whom you have declared to be an unbeliever."

Hadith.752 - Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Halabi asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about a man who has only one garment, and it has urine on it, but he is unable to wash it. Imam (as) said: "He should pray in it."

Hadith.4130 - Muhammad ibn Ali al-Halabi asked Imam (as) about hunting when a man strikes the prey with his sword, pierces it with his spear, or shoots it with his arrow, and he had mentioned the name of Allah (swt) (Bismillah) at the time of doing so. Imam (as) said: "Eat it, and there is no problem with it."

I said to Imam (as): "Who are those whom I am obligated to provide for?" Imam (as) said: "The parents, the child, the wife, and the minor heir - meaning the brother, the brother's son, and others."

I asked Imam Abu Abdullah (as) about performing tawaf behind the Maqam (of Ibrahim). Imam (as) said: "I do not like it, but I see no harm in it. Do not do it unless you have no other choice."

Everything in this book that is narrated from Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Halabi has been transmitted by me from my father, Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan, and Muhammad ibn Musa ibn Al-Mutawakkil - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them all - from Abdullah ibn Ja'far Al-Himyari, from Ayyub ibn Nuh, from Safwan ibn Yahya, from Abdullah ibn Muskan, from Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Halabi.

I heard Abu Abdullah (as) say: "There is no harm in selling different types of food, goods, or items that vary in value, two for one, if it is done hand-to-hand. However, if it is done on credit, then it is not permissible."

The witness is Friday, and that which is to be witnessed is the Day of Arafah.

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about food. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must use vinegar and oil for food; it is palatable and Ali (a.s.), ate it very often. I eat it very often and it is palatable.’”

The heavens never wept over anyone after the killing of Yaḥyā ibn Zakariyyā (a.s.) until Ḥusain (a.s.) was killed. And when he was killed, the heavens wept over him (also).”

The Messenger of Allah (s) kept his prophethood concealed for five years and remained underground due to fear. He did not publicize his message, whereas Ali (a.s) and Lady Khadija (s) were present with him. After that Allah, the Mighty and the High commanded him to announce that which he had been ordered to and to publicize his messengership.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Divorce three times in non-waiting period (without waiting period) if she is clean from Hayd (menses) counts as one, but if she is not clean of Hayd (menses) then it (divorce) does not have any valid effect.’”

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Verily Allāh offered our Wilāyah to the inhabitants of different lands but no one accepted it (immediately) except the inhabitants of Kūfah. Verily there is a grave near it to which no anguished person goes and next to which he prays four Rak’ah without Allāh sending him back pleased, with his requests fulfilled.

I heard Abu Abdullah (asws) saying: ‘The differing of the Clan of Abbas is from the inevitable, and the Call is from the inevitable, and the coming out of Al-Qaim (asws) is from the inevitable’. I said, ‘And How would be the Call?’ He (asws) said: ‘A Caller will Call out from the sky at the beginning of the day: ‘Indeed! Ali (asws) and his (asws) Shites, they are the winners’. He (asws) said: ‘And a Caller will Call out at the end of the day: ‘Indeed! Usman and his Shites, they are the winners’.

“Home means Wilaya of Imam Ali (Leadership with Divine Authority). Whoever acknowledges Wilaya has entered the home of the prophets. The house mentioned verse 33:33 also refers to Wilaya. “People of the house, God wants to remove all kinds of uncleanliness from you and to purify you thoroughly.” (33:33) It refers to the Imams (a.s.) and their Wilaya (Leadership with Divine Authority). Whoever would acknowledge it he has found a place in the house of The Holy Prophet (s.a.).”

“A man complained before abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), against his poverty and deprivation in business after being affluent and that in whatever way he moves to make a living, he faces difficulties. Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), commanded him to go to the special place of the Messenger of Allah which is between his grave and pulpit. ‘Perform two Rak‘at Salah (prayer) there and say, one hundred times, ‘O Lord, I appeal to You through Your power, Your determination, Your majesty and through whatever Your knowledge has encompassed, please facilitate my business and increase it for my sustenance in a way that is better and of good consequences.’ The man has said that thereafter in whichever way I moved for business Allah granted me benefits.”

On the Day when there shall be severe affliction.” He replied: “Blessed be the Supreme [Jabbar]! Then be pointed towards his shin, lifted the clothing which covered it, and read: “And they shall be called upon the make obeisance, but they shall not be able.”1 He then said: “The people will e silenced, fear will enter them, their eyes will look fixedly, their hearts will reach their throats, their eyes will be in a state of humbleness, and they will be humiliated when they are called upon to make obeisance, although they are sound.” Muhammad ibn `Ali the Compiler of this book says: What he (AS) meant by his statement “Blessed be the Supreme!” after which he pointed to his shin and uncovered it,” was “Blessed be the Supreme! He is far above having a shin, Who is such.”

“When Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, willed to create Adam He sent water on the clay. He then took a handful and kneaded it and then divided it in two parts with His hands then scattered them and they began to move. He then started a fire for them and commanded the people of the left hand to enter therein. They went near but were afraid of it and they did not enter therein. He then commanded the people of the right hand to enter in the fire. They went and entered into it and Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, commanded the fire to become cool and peaceful for them. When the people of the left hand observed it they said, ‘Our Lord, forgive us.’ He forgave them and said to them, ‘Enter into the fire.’ They went but did not enter therein. He then changed them to clay and He created Adam therefrom. Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) then said, ‘Those will never be able to become these and they will never be able to become of those.’ He (a.s.) then said, ‘They saw the Messenger of Allah (a.s.) to be the first to enter that fire. For this reason is the words of Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, ‘(Muhammad), Say, “Had the Beneficent had a son then I would have been the first to worship.”’” (43: 81)

“I met the door keepers (of the Kaaba). I told them about my vow and my bondmaid. Every one of them said to me: “Bring her to me and Allah will accept your vow.” I felt afraid of that. I told one of our companions of Mecca about that and he said to me: “Would you listen to me?” I said: “Yes, I would.” He said: “Look at that man, who is sitting beside the Black Rock surrounded by people. He is Abu Ja’far Muhammad bin Ali bin al-Husayn (al-Baqir) (as). Go to him. Tell him of your story and see what he will say to you and act according to it.” I went to him and said: “May Allah have mercy upon you! I am a man from the Arabia. There is a bondmaid with me. I have vowed to offer her to the House of Allah (the Kaaba). I told the doorkeepers of that and each of them asked me to give him the bondmaid and that Allah would accept my vow. I felt too afraid of that.” Abu Ja’far al-Baqir (as) said: “O you slave of Allah, the House neither eats nor drinks. Sell your bondmaid and look for someone from among the people of your country who has come to offer the hajj and now has no money to go back home. Give him the money so that he can return to his home.” I did as he had said to me. I met the doorkeepers again. They asked me about the bondmaid and I told them what Abu Ja’far al-Baqir (as) had asked me to do. They said: “He is a liar and ignorant. He does not know what he says.” I mentioned that to Abu Ja’far al-Baqir (as). He said to me: “Would you inform of what I tell you?” I said: “Yes, I would.” He said: “Tell them that Abu Ja’far says to you: How about you when your hands and legs are cut and hung on the Kaaba and then you are asked to announce loudly: we are the thieves of the Kaaba?” When I wanted to get up, he said: “It is not me, who will do that, but it is a man from me.”
