Hadith.1066 - Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) said:
"Ammar greeted the Messenger of Allah (sw) while he was in prayer, and he responded to him."
Then Abu Ja'far (as) said: "Indeed, Salam (greeting) is one of the names of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic."
1066 - وَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: «سَلَّمَ عَمَّارٌ عَلَى رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ هُوَ فِي اَلصَّلاَةِ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ» ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ «إِنَّ اَلسَّلاَمَ اِسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ.

12. Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār narrated to me from his father, from his grandfather, from Ḥasan ibn Maḥbūb, from Ḥanān ibn Sadīr, who said
I was with Abī Ja’far (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)) when a man entered, said Salām to the Imam (a.s.), and sat down. “Where are you from?” Imam (a.s.) asked the man. “I am from Kūfah. I believe in your Wilāyah and I am one of your lovers,” the man said. “Do you establish all of your prayers in the Mosque of Kūfah?” Imam (a.s.) asked. “No,” the man replied. “Verily you are deprived of the good (blessings),” Imam (a.s.) said. Then the Imam (a.s.) asked, “Do you perform a Ghusl once a day with the water of the Euphrates River which is close to you?” “No,” the man replied. “What about once a week?” Imam (a.s.) asked. “No,” the man replied. “What about once a month?” Imam (a.s.) asked. “No,” the man replied. “What about once a year?” Imam (a.s.) asked. “No,” the man replied. “Verily you are deprived of the good (blessings),” Imam (a.s.) said. Then the Imam (a.s.) asked, “Do you go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) once a week?” “No,” the man replied. “What about once a month?” Imam (a.s.) asked. “No,” the man replied. “What about once a year?” Imam (a.s.) asked. “No,” the man replied. “Verily you are deprived of the good (blessings),” Imam (a.s.) said.
12 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ حَنَانِ بْنِ سَدِيرٍ قَالَ
كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ فَسَلَّمَ وَ جَلَسَ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) مِنْ أَيِّ الْبِلَادِ أَنْتَ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ أَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ وَ أَنَا لَكَ مُحِبٌّ مُوَالٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) أَ تُصَلِّي فِي مَسْجِدِ الْكُوفَةِ كُلَّ صَلَاتِكَ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ لَا فَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) إِنَّكَ لَمَحْرُومٌ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) أَ تَغْتَسِلُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِنْ فُرَاتِكُمْ مَرَّةً قَالَ لَا- قَالَ فَفِي كُلِّ جُمْعَةٍ فَقَالَ لَا قَالَ فَفِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَفِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ قَالَ لَا فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) إِنَّكَ لَمَحْرُومٌ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَ تَزُورُ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فِي كُلِّ جُمْعَةٍ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَفِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَفِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ قَالَ لَا فَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (ع) إِنَّكَ لَمَحْرُومٌ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ

6. Ahmad ibn Mihran has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ali from Mu‘ammar ibn Khallad who has said the following.
“Once in the presence of abu al-Hassan (a.s.) we spoke about an issue, Imamat, (Leadership with Divine Authority). It was after the birth oof abu Ja‘far (a.s.). The Imam (a.s.) said, “You do not need any such thing (thinking who the Imam will be). This is abu Ja‘far (a.s.). I have placed him in my own place and made him to assume my position.”
6ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ مُعَمَّرِ بْنِ خَلادٍ قَالَ
ذَكَرْنَا عِنْدَ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) شَيْئاً بَعْدَ مَا وُلِدَ لَهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فَقَالَ مَا حَاجَتُكُمْ إِلَى ذَلِكَ هَذَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ قَدْ أَجْلَسْتُهُ مَجْلِسِي وَصَيَّرْتُهُ فِي مَكَانِي.

Their book is a forgery. Muḥammad b. Mūsā al-Sammān forged it. Abū Jaʿfar made a mistake in this saying, for I have seen their books heard from Muḥammad b. Abī ʿUmayr.

12. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al- Hassan ibn Ali from Ali ibn Maysir who has said the following
“When Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) went to meet Mansur al-‘Abbasi. He (Mansur) told his slave to stand ready and as soon as Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) enters cut off his neck. When Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) entered he looked at Mansur and said something to himself that he did not know what it was then he said out loud, ‘O the One who is sufficient for all of His creatures, and no one is sufficient for Him, suffice me against the evil of ‘Abd Allah ibn Ali. ’ Mansur turned to be as such that he could not see his slave and his slave could not see him. Mansur then said, ‘O Ja’far ibn Muhammad (it seems) we have caused you so much fatigue in this hot day, you may go back.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) then left his office. Mansur asked his slave, ‘What stopped you from carrying my order?’ He said, ‘By Allah I could not see him, something came as a barrier between him and I.’ Abu Ja’far, Mansur said to him, ‘If you ever tell this to anyone I will kill you.’”
12ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُيَسِّرٍ قَالَ
لَمَّا قَدِمَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ أَقَامَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مَوْلىً لَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَقَالَ لَهُ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ فَاضْرِبْ عُنُقَهُ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) نَظَرَ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ وَأَسَرَّ شَيْئاً فِيمَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ نَفْسِهِ لا يَدْرِي مَا هُوَ ثُمَّ أَظْهَرَ يَا مَنْ يَكْفِي خَلْقَهُ كُلَّهُمْ وَلا يَكْفِيهِ أَحَدٌ اكْفِنِي شَرَّ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ فَصَارَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ لا يُبْصِرُ مَوْلاهُ وَصَارَ مَوْلاهُ لا يُبْصِرُهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ يَا جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ لَقَدْ عَيَّيْتُكَ فِي هَذَا الْحَرِّ فَانْصَرِفْ فَخَرَجَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ لِمَوْلاهُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ مَا أَمَرْتُكَ بِهِ فَقَالَ لا وَالله مَا أَبْصَرْتُهُ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَ شَيْءٌ فَحَالَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ وَالله لَئِنْ حَدَّثْتَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَحَداً لأقْتُلَنَّكَ.
