“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Folding clothes is giving them rest and durability.’”

“Abu al-Hassan, al-Awwal (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, ate melons with sugar. He (the Messenger of Allah) ate melons with fresh dates.’”

“We once mentioned heads of sheep before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and he (the Imam) said, ‘The head is the place of slaughtering (intelligence), close to means for grazing and far from harms.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One of the prophets complained before Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, about not having any children. He (Allah) told him to eat meat with egg.’”

Do not use sweet basil stems or pomegranate tree twigs as toothpicks as this might lead to leprosy.”

H 172 - Ali bin Muhammad bin Ziyad Saymoori said: I came to Abu Ahmad Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Tahir; there was a letter of Imam Hasan Askari (a.s) before him and it was written therein: I prayed to Almighty Allah against this transgressor [Mustaeen] and God’s fury would overtake him after three days. On the third day, Mustaeen was divested of Caliphate and killed.

“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘The prayer quickest to success and acceptance is one’s prayer for his brother (in belief) in his absence where one starts praying for him and the angels guarding say, ‘Amin’ You will have twice as much you asked for him.’”

“The following four acts are due to obsession: eating clay, breaking up clay, biting one’s nails, and chewing one’s beard (Trichotillomania).”

3-35 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Ahmad ibn Idris quoted Muhammad ibn Ahmad, on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah al-Dehqan, on the authority of Durost ibn Abi Mansoor, on the authority of Ibrahim ibn Abdul-Hamid, on the authority of Abil Hassan - the first (MGB) , ‘Looking at greenery, looking at flowing water and looking at a beautiful woman are pleasing to the eyes.’

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Drinking sawiq with oil grows flesh, strengthens the bones, softens the skin and increases al-Bah (sexual desire).”’

Walking in a rush will destroy a believer’s dignity.”

Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as) said: Do not use basil twigs nor pomegranate twigs as toothpicks, for they irritate the vein of leprosy.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One of the prophets complained before Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, against weakness and it was said to him, ‘Cook meat with milk; they strengthen the body.’ He (the narrator) has said that I then asked if it is al-Mudayrah (butter milk).’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is meat with yogurt of milk.’”

You should avoid the following five groups of people under all circumstances: those who have leprosy; those who have vitiligo; the insane; those born of adultery; and the Bedouin Arabs.”

The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, looked at ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib and said: "(Here is) the master herein, and the master hereinafter."

“Once I went in the presence of abu al-Hassan al-Rida (a.s.) and he asked me, ‘What is the meaning of: “. . . remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him.” (87:15) I said, ‘Whenever he remembered the name of his Lord, he stood up and prayed.’ The Imam said to me, ‘If so, Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, had burdened him heavily, but this is going beyond limits.’ 1 then said, ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause, how is it then?’ The Imam said, ‘Whenever he remembered the name of his Lord, he asked from Allah al-Salat (favors) for the Holy Prophet and his family.’”

“Nine things cause forgetfulness: eating sour apples; eating coriander and cheese; eating remainders of mice; urinating in stagnant water; reading the writings on the tombs; going in between two women; killing lice; and cupping at the pit of the head.”

There are four attributes in sunshine. It changes color; creates a bad smell; wears out the clothes; and causes pain.”

“God’s Prophet (MGB) has cursed the following three: one who eats his foodstuff alone on a trip; one who rides in the wilderness alone; and one who sleeps alone in the house.”

When the month of Ramadan would begin, the Messenger of Allah (s) would free every captive and give to every beggar.
