“Rahman”. I shall establish ties with whoever visits the relations of kin, and shall cut off from whoever cuts off his relations of kin.”

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: Gabriel informed me that Allah said: “`Ali b. Abi Talib is My Proof over My creation and those who take on My religion. The Imams from his descendants will establish My Order and call to My way. By them, I repel chastisement from My male and female servants. By them, I bring down My mercy.”

I heard Abu al-Hasan al-Khurasani [al-Ridha] عليه السلام say: as for Ali b. Yaqtin then he left [this world] while his master was pleased with him – meaning by that Abu al-Hasan (i.e. al-Kadhim) عليه السلام

Messenger of Allah has said, ‘ Jibril informed me of something and it brought delightfulness to my eyes and happiness to my heart. He said, “O Muhammad, anyone of your followers who fights the enemy for the cause of Allah, even if a drop of rain falls on him from the sky or he experiences a headache, he will, on the Day of Judgment, receive for it a reward equal to that for martyrdom.’””

Prophet (sw) said: Jibra’il said: Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said: Whoever insults My Beloved one has declared war on Me. I do not hesitate in anything like I do when I seize the soul of a believer. He abhors death, and I abhor his evil deeds. However, there is no escape from it. My Servant is never so close to Me as when he fulfils all that I have made obligatory on him. My servant continues to perform superogatory prayers until I star to love him. And when I love him, I become his hearing, his seeing, his hand, and his supporter. When he calls Me, I answer him. And if he asks Me for something, I bestow it upon him.
Verily, among My believing servants is one that intends an act of service, but I prevent him from it so self-admiration does not enter him, as this would lead to his destruction. Among My believing servants is one whose faith will not be proper unless he remains poor, for if I made him wealthy, it would lead to his destruction. Among My believing servants is one whose faith will not be proper unless he is wealthy, for if I made him poor it would lead to his destruction. Among My believing servants is one whose faith will not be proper unless he is ill, for if I made him healthy, it would lead to his destruction. Among My believing servant sis one whose faith would not be proper unless he was healthy, for if I made him ill, it would lead to his destruction. Verily, I mange My Servants though my Knowledge of what is in their hearts. Verily, I am the All-Knowing, the All-informed.

I am Allah – there is no god but Me. I created the creation with My power. I selected whomever I wished to be My prophets from among them. I selected Muhammad from all of them to be My Beloved, My Friend, and My elite one. I sent him as a Messenger to My creation. I chose `Ali for him, and I made him his brother, his deputy, his vizier, and his representative to My creation after him. He is My vicegerent over My servants, who clarifies My Book to them and applies My judgment among them. I have made him the sign that guides from misguidance, My gate from which I am come to, My house – whoever enters it is safe from My Fire, My fortress – whoever seeks refuge in it is protected from the hateful things of this world and the Hereafter, My Face – whoever faces it, I will not turn My Face away from, and My Proof in the heavens and the Earths over all that is in them of my creatures. I will not accept the deeds of any of them unless they declare his wilaya alongside the prophethood of Ahmad, My Messenger. He is My open hand over My servants. He is the blessing by which I bless those who I love from among My servants. Whoever I love from among My servants, I make him recognize him and his wilaya. Whoever I hate from My servants. I make him not recognize him and his wilaya. I swear by My glory and I vow by My majesty: surely, no servant from My servants will align with `Ali except that I will displace him from the Fire and enter him into Paradise; and no servant from My servants will hate him and reject his wilaya except that I will hate him and enter him into the Fire in the misery of fate.

Sublime God said, “Whoever treats my friends with animosity has undoubtedly come to fight with Me. My Punishment will overtake whoever fights with the Members of the Holy Household of My Prophet. My Wrath will overtake whoever chooses others (than the Members of the Holy Household) for his friends, and whoever disturbs them has indeed disturbed Me. The Fire is destined for whoever disturbs Me.”

The friendship with Ali ibn Abi Talib is My Stronghold. Whoever enters My Stronghold is secure from My punishment.”

Gabriel informed me that the Honorable the Exalted God says, ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib is My Proof for My creatures. He is the maintainer of My religion. Immaculate Leaders will be born from his progeny who will adhere to My rules and invite (the people) to My way. I will fend off calamities from my servants and maids and through them I will descend My Mercy.’”

I am God. There is no god but Me. I created the creatures by My Power. Then I chose My Prophets from amongst them. And I chose Muhammad from amongst them as My beloved one, friend, and the chosen one. I appointed him as the Messenger over My creatures. And I chose Ali as his assistant. I established Ali as his brother; Trustee; Minister; the one to fulfill the Prophet’s mission for the creatures after him; as My Regent over My creatures to clarify My Book for them; and to carry out My orders amongst them. I established Ali as the guiding knowledge away from deviation; as a gate to approach Me; as a house to which whoever enters is secure from My Fire; as My castle in which whoever takes refuge is immune from the abominable things in this world and the Hereafter; as a face to which whoever turns to I will not turn My Face away from him; as My Proof in the heavens and the Two Earths over all My creatures. No one’s deeds are accepted unless they bear witness to Ali’s Mastery and the Prophethood of My Messenger Muhammad. He is My hand that is extended over My servants. He is the blessing which I have bestowed upon those of My servants whom I love.Therefore, I taught Ali’s Mastery and recognition to whichever one of My servants whom I liked. I disliked some of My servants due to their deviation from recognizing him and his Mastery. Thus I swear by MyMajesty that I will fend off the Fire from whoever of My servants who loves Ali. I will take them to Paradise. I will get angry with and enter into the Fire whichever of My servants who deviates from his Mastery. They will have a terrible ending.”

Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, says: The Divine Authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, Allah’s blessings be upon him, is My Shield. Hence, the one who enters My Shield is safe from My Fire.

I said to him: May I be sacrificed for you, why was the Commander of the Believers, peace be upon him, named the Commander of the Believers? He said: Because he was granting knowledge to them. Have you not heard the Book of Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He: «And We will obtain provision for our family» (12:65)?
