I heard Ali (as) saying: “O people of Shia, as if I see you wandering about like the camels looking for a pasture but without finding any.”

'When he returns, he should fast them.'"

Arrogance is that one disdains people and stultifies the truth.

“I once, heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Eat broad beans with its peels. It cleanses (tans) the stomach.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘It is of Sunnah to clip one’s fingernails.’”

“I once sent a mule as a gift to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), but (on the way) it made the driver to fall off. I then decided to visit him (the Imam) and when we were in al-Madinah, we informed abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about it. He (the Imam) said, ‘You must make him (the driver) to sniff viola. He sniffed viola and recovered. He (the Imam) said, ‘O ‘Uqbah, viola is of cool condition in summer and warm in winter. It is soft to our followers and dry to our enemies. If people had known what is in viola, every Awqiyah (a certain measurement) would cost one dinar.’”

2 – Ṣāliḥ b. ʿUqba b. Qays b. Samʿān b. Abī Dhabīḥa, client of the Messenger of God ى اP عليه ّ صل وآله. He narrated from Abū ʿAbdillāh عليه السلام . A ghālī, a liar, he is not turned to.

I said to Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) "What is the reward for someone who visits one of you?" Imam (as) replied: "It is as if they have visited the Messenger of Allah (swt), peace be upon him and his family."

Looking at non-Mahram women is one of the poisonous arrows of Shaitaan. Many a times, it is a cause of development of evil desires.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whenever something saddened my father he would call the ladies and children together. He would then pray and they would say, ‘Amin.’”

"When the believing people meet and shake hands Allah inserts His hand between their hands and shakes hands with the one whose love for his brother (in belief) is more intense.’”

"The one who makes a will has the right to revoke it or make changes to it as long as he is alive."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Women experiencing Hayd (menses) can perform Salah (prayer) in their clothes if they have not come in contact with blood.’”

“One of the two Imam, (abu Ja’far or abu ‘Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, The limits of al-‘Aqiq is from al-Maslakh to ‘Aqabah.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One who looks at his own price when he is weighed, he does not succeed.’”

"A glance (at what is forbidden) is a poisoned arrow from the arrows of Iblis. Whoever abandons it for the sake of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic, not for any other reason, Allah (swt) will grant him faith whose sweetness he will find in his heart."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Al-Athmad (antimony) sharpens eye sight, grows hairs and banishes tears.’”

I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “What is the reward for those who go to the Ziyārah of the Messenger of Allāh and ‘Ali (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “They are like those who have gone to the Ziyārah of Allāh on His Throne.” I asked, “What is the reward for those who go to the Ziyārah of one of you (the Imams (a.s.))?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “They are like those who have gone to the Ziyārah of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.).” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: Muḥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Razzāz, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl, from Sāliḥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Zayd Al-Shaḥḥām, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).

9. Ali ibn Mahziyar from has said the following: “Ibrahim ibn ‘Uqbah once wrote to him (the Imam) (a.s.), asking, ‘People here make socks and waistbands from the fur of foxes. Is it permissible to perform Salah (prayer) with it without Taqiyah (fear) or necessity? He (the Imam) wrote with his hand writing, ‘It is not permissible to perform Salah (prayer) with it.’”

'There is no harm and no harming (la darar wa la dirar).'"
