محمد بن عيسى الأرمني

“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, when the Holy Prophet passed away, someone came to them and stood at door of the house. He offered them greeting of peace and then said, ‘O family of Muhammad, every soul must experience the taste of death. You will receive your reward (from Allah) on the Day of Judgment only. Those who are saved from fire and are admitted into paradise are indeed successful. The worldly life is only a means of deceit. In Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, alone is solace for all kinds of sorrow, good consequences for everyone who dies and proper compensation for all kinds of losses. In Allah, you must trust and assign Him alone to be the person in charge of your affairs; and with His support for you alone, you must in grief and sorrow, agree. A truly affected person is one who is deprived of the rewards from Allah. Assalamu ‘Alaykum (you are ‘Alayhim al-Salam ) and may Allah grant you favors and blessings.’ No one saw him. Someone in the family said, ‘This is an angel from heaven. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, has sent him to you to offer you condolences.’ Someone else said, ‘He was al-Khadhiru who came to offer you condolences on the death of your Prophet.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Muhammad ibn Isa has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sad ibn Abdullah, from Muhammad ibn Isa ibn Ubayd Al-Yaqtini. I have also narrated it from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan Al-Saffar, from Muhammad ibn Isa ibn Ubayd Al-Yaqtini.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Piercing the ears of a boy is of the Sunnah as well as his circumcision.’”

“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not eat the prey that falls in water and dies.’”

“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Circumcision for boys is because of Sunnah but circumcision for girls is not because of Sunnah.”’

“Once I went to see abu Ja‘far al-Thani’s (a.s.). He debated me in several issues. He then said, “O abu Ali, there is no (reason for) doubt; I am the only son that my father had.”

narrated to him ’Isma‘il ibn Sa‘d al-Ahwas who has said the following: “I asked al-Rida (a.s.), ‘Of how many Rak‘at does Salah (prayer) consist?’ He replied, ‘There are fifty-one Rak‘at (every day).”’ Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa a similar Hadith.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The orphan-hood of an orphan is over when he experiences wet-dream, and that is the time when he reaches manhood but if he experiences wet- dream and does not have proper understanding because of dimwittedness or weakness, then his guardian must keep his assets for him.’”

“Whoever says ten times, ‘O Lord.’ It will be said to him, “Your call for help is well heard and noted. What kind of help do you need?’”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Be afraid of doing injustice; on the Day of Judgment there will be much darkness.’”

“I once asked al-‘Askariy, Alayhi al-Salam, in al-Madinah about the case of a man who has made a will to spend in the way of Allah. He (the Imam) said, ‘In the way of Allah is our Shi ’ah (followers).”’

And whatever is narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿIsa Al-Ashari - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - I have narrated it from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them - from Saʿd ibn Abdullah and Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari together, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿIsa Al-Ashari.

"I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who has bailed out another man and has reached a settlement with him.’ He (the Imam) said, ’He can only have the actual amount the man owes to him.”’

the termination of the orphanhood of the orphan is by nocturnal emission and it is considered his maturity, however if he begins to have nocturnal emissions but signs of intellectual maturity are not detected from him such that he is foolhardy or mentally incapacitated then his guardian withholds from handing over his wealth to him.

Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Muhammad ibn Isa, from Mansur, from Hisham ibn Salim, narrated from Abu Abdillah al-Sadiq (as): He was asked about whether the Bedouins (Arab nomads) are obligated to engage in jihad. He replied, "No, unless there is a fear for Islam, in which case they can be sought for assistance." I then asked, "Do they receive any part of the jizya (tribute)?" He said, "No."

I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “What is the reward for those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) while knowing his rights and without any pride or arrogance?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “One thousand accepted Hajj and one thousand purified ‘Umrah will be registered for them. And (even) if they are among the wretched ones, they will be registered among the blissful ones and they will be continuously submerged in the Mercy of Allāh.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘One who is tired of power must cherish small ones.’” Muhammad ibn ‘Isa thinks that al-Ghifariy is of the children of abu Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him.

“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a man who owed me a hundred dirham in numbers and he paid me by weight. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful if it is not stipulated . 5 He (the Imam) said, ‘Riba’ comes from stipulation; only stipulation destroys it.’”

“Would there remain only two people on earth, one of them would the person with divine authority over the other.” Muhammad ibn al-Hassan has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa a similar Hadith.

“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘Your spending for perfumes is not useless spending. 5 ”
