hadith 2252
6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Yunus ibn Ya‘qub who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), whenever needed would go to the bathhouse only to apply lime paste to his underarms.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ أَنَّ
أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) كَانَ يَدْخُلُ الْحَمَّامَ فَيَطْلِي إِبْطَهُ وَحْدَهُ إِذَا احْتَاجَ إِلَى ذَلِكَ وَحْدَهُ .

6. Ahmad ibn Idris has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of our people who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the quantity of one Kur of water is one thousand and two hundred ritl (a certain measurement).”
6ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
الْكُرُّ مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَلْفٌ وَمِائَتَا رِطْلٍ.

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Safwan from Ya’qub ibn Shu’ayb who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who in the state of Ihram keeps dirham in his cloths. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he can wear a belt or a purse.’”
3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنِ الْمُحْرِمِ يَصُرُّ الدَّرَاهِمَ فِي ثَوْبِهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَيَلْبَسُ الْمِنْطَقَةَ وَالْهِمْيَانَ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Aslam from Yunus ibn Ya’qub from those who narrated to him from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who said
“A woman who experiences Istihadah (a form of menses) can perform Tawaf around the House (Ka'ba) and she can pray, but she cannot enter the Ka'ba.”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
الْمُسْتَحَاضَةُ تَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ وَتُصَلِّي وَلا تَدْخُلُ الْكَعْبَةَ.

3. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Ali from Yunus ibn Ya’qub from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, performed Hajj a total of twenty times.”
3ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
حَجَّ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) عِشْرِينَ حَجَّةً.

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ya’qub ibn Yazid in a marfu’ manner from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) who has said the following
“If one reads the Holy Quran from a copy, he benefits from his eyesight, and his parents receive relief even if they are unbelievers.”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ قَرَأَ الْقُرْآنَ فِي الْمُصْحَفِ مُتِّعَ بِبَصَرِهِ وَخُفِّفَ عَنْ وَالِدَيْهِ وَإِنْ كَانَا كَافِرَيْنِ.

سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْحُلِيِّ أَ يُزَكَّى فَقَالَ إِذاً لاَ يَبْقَى مِنْهُ شَيْ‏ءٌ.

20. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ya’qub ibn from Ziyad ibn Marwan al-Qandiy from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Eating seven dates of al-‘Ajwah at bed time kill the worms in one’s belly.”’
عَنْهُ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ الْقَنْدِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
مَنْ أَكَلَ سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ عَجْوَةٍ عِنْدَ مَنَامِهِ قَتَلْنَ الدِّيدَانَ مِنْ بَطْنِهِ .

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn from Safwan from Ya’qub ibn Shu’ayb who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If inside the walls there are different fruits and certain kinds are ripe, then there is no offense in buying all of it.’”

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) إِذَا كَانَ الْحَائِطُ فِيهِ ثِمَارٌ مُخْتَلِفَةٌ فَأَدْرَكَ بَعْضُهَا فَلا بَأْسَ بِبَيْعِهَا جَمِيعاً.

9. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ya’qub ibn Yazid from Muhammad ibn Dadhawayh who has said the following
“I once wrote to abu al-Hassan, asking him (the Imam) about drinking intoxicating liquor. He (the Imam) wrote back in answer, ‘A wine drinker is an unbeliever.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ دَاذَوَيْهِ قَالَ
كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) أَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ شَارِبِ الْمُسْكِرِ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ ( عليه السلام ) شَارِبُ الْخَمْرِ كَافِرٌ .

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from ibn Faddal from Yunus from Ya’qub who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), ’From which Masjid should I assume the state of Ihram on the day of al-Tarwiyah (eight of Dhu al-Hajjah)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘You can do so from whichever Masjid you like.’”
5ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) مِنْ أَيِّ الْمَسْجِدِ أُحْرِمُ يَوْمَ التَّرْوِيَةِ فَقَالَ مِنْ أَيِّ الْمَسْجِدِ شِئْتَ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya’qub who has said the following
“I heard abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ’Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali (a.s.), would say, ’Every month there should be only one al-‘Umrah.’”

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَلِيّاً (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي كُلِّ شَهْرٍ عُمْرَةٌ.

7. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn abu Nasr from Yunus ibn Ya’qub who has said the following
“I am informed that abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), enters the bathhouse only to apply lime paste to his underarms alone.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي نَصْرٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ
بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) رُبَّمَا دَخَلَ الْحَمَّامَ مُتَعَمِّداً يَطْلِي إِبْطَهُ وَحْدَهُ .

4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Yaqtin from Yunus ibn Ya‘qub who has said the following
“I once visited abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), when there was a bucket for herbs in his hand with sweet basil therein.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَقْطِينٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ فِي يَدِهِ مِخْضَبَةٌ فِيهَا رَيْحَانٌ .

16. Ahmad ibn Idris has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad from Ya’qub ibn Yazid from Muhammad ibn abu Hamzah from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When performing Salah (prayer) with them (other people) it is sufficient to recite like speaking to one’s soul.’”
16ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَمَّنْ ذَكَرَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يُجْزِئُكَ مِنَ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَهُمْ مِثْلُ حَدِيثِ النَّفْسِ.

كَانَ يُسَبِّحُ تَسْبِيحَ فَاطِمَةَ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَيَصِلُهُ وَلاَ يَقْطَعُهُ.

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad, from Ya’qub ibn Yazid from a number of our people who have said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘There is no need for warming up of water for Ghusl (bath) of a deceased, starting up a fire and perfuming the shroud.”’
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لاَ يُسَخَّنُ الْمَاءُ لِلْمَيِّتِ وَلاَ يُعَجَّلُ لَهُ النَّارُ وَلاَ يُحَنَّطُ بِمِسْكٍ.

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Yunus from Ya’qub ibn Shu’ayb who has said the following
“Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘Does anyone, other than the believers, has any reward with Allah for his good deeds?’ The Imam said, ‘No, there is no one as such.’”
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) هَلْ لأحَدٍ عَلَى مَا عَمِلَ ثَوَابٌ عَلَى الله مُوجَبٌ إِلا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ لا.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya’qub who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the time of leaving ‘Arafat. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is when the redness goes away, that is, from the eastern side.”’ (Fatwa best explains Hadith 1 of this Chapter)

2ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَسِّنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ الْخَاتَمُ فِي فَمِ الصَّائِمِ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ فَأَمَّا النَّوَاةُ فَلا.
