Hadith 549
1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from certain persons of his people who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A shroud is not perfumed”
1ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لاَ يُجَمَّرُ الْكَفَنُ.

Hadith 550
2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad, from Ya’qub ibn Yazid from a number of our people who have said the following
“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘There is no need for warming up of water for Ghusl (bath) of a deceased, starting up a fire and perfuming the shroud.”’
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
لاَ يُسَخَّنُ الْمَاءُ لِلْمَيِّتِ وَلاَ يُعَجَّلُ لَهُ النَّارُ وَلاَ يُحَنَّطُ بِمِسْكٍ.

Hadith 551
3. Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Kufiy has narrated from ibn al-Jumhur from his father from Muhammad ibn Sinan from al-Mufaddal ibn ‘Umar who has said that ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman has narrated from Hariz from Muhammad ibn Muslim who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not perfume shrouds and your deceased one’s except with camphor; a deceased person is like one in the state of Ihram.’”
2ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكُوفِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ جُمْهُورٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الله بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) لاَ تُجَمِّرُوا الأكْفَانَ وَلاَ تَمْسَحُوا مَوْتَاكُمْ بِالطِّيبِ إِلاَّ بِالْكَافُورِ فَإِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْمُحْرِمِ.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from al-Nawfaliy from al-Sakuniy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Holy prophet, has said, ‘You must not walk behind the procession for a deceased with a brazier, censer.’”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ عَنِ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) أَنَّ
النَّبِيَّ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) نَهَى أَنْ تُتْبَعَ جَنَازَةٌ بِمِجْمَرَةٍ.
