“Discuss about anything, but do not discuss about Allah.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The testimony of one born out of wedlock is not admissible.’”

52 – Jaʿfar b. Aḥmad b. Ayyūb, al-Samarqandī, Abū Saʿīd. He is called: the son of the decrepit (ibn al-ʿājiz). He has a book: Refutation against whoever claims that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله was upon the religion of his people prior to prophethood.

Hadith.4479 - Imam Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) said: "An Arab man should not marry a Muhajira woman (a woman who migrated for the sake of faith) and then take her out of the land of migration to the land of the Arabs."

Hadith.3259 - Abu Ayyub al-Khazzaz asked Abu Abdillah (as) about a man who transfers his debt to another man. Imam (as) said: "He cannot revert the debt back to the original debtor under any circumstances, except if the transferee had already declared bankruptcy before the transfer."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not obligatory for women to say Talbiyah aloud.’”

"She should return to her home, and when she becomes pure, she should return and make up for what she missed."

I heard Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) say: "I purchased a piece of land, and when I finalized the purchase, I stood up and walked a few steps, then returned. I did this to make the sale binding at the time of separation."

“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has said, ‘If one who did not have an offering animal for his al- Tamattu‘ (advantageous), dies; it becomes obligatory on his guardian to fast on his behalf.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked, ‘Where from are children required to assume the state of Ihram?’ He (the Imam) said, ’My father would make them to assume the state of Ihram from Fakhkh (name of a place).”’

“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), disliked using the leftover of the water from which inedible animals have drunk.”

“I said to Abā ʿAbdillāh (a), ‘They say: do not be impressed by the group which claims that Allah will remove some people from the Fire and place them among the inhabitants of Paradise with His friends.’ So he said, ‘Do they not read the verse in which Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says: There are two other Gardens below these two (Q55:62)? It refers to a paradise besides Paradise and a fire besides the Fire. They will not dwell with the friends of Allah [but rather, in another paradise].’ And he said, ‘There is, by Allah, a level [or two levels] between them, but I cannot talk about it [here]. Their matter is more constricted than a [tight] noose. Indeed, were the Riser to rise, he would start with these people.’”

"Commander of the Faithful (as) would assign the liability for the offense committed by a mentally impaired person (ma'tooh) to his family (Aqilah), whether it was accidental or intentional."

“I once saw abu Ja‘far (a.s.), when the barber trimmed his beard, he (the Imam) said, ‘Make it round.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Ziyad ibn Suwqah has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah, from Ayyub ibn Nuh, from Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umayr, from Ziyad ibn Suwqah.

"I have experienced [having] both light-skinned and dark-skinned maidservants, and there was a difference between them." (Allama al-Majlisi says: It means both of them have a preference)

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘It is sufficient for Wudu’ to allow water to touch your skin (of the parts to be washed for Wudu’).”’

“Abu Ja’far (a.s.), has said, ‘For Ghusl (bath) because of Hayd (menses) if wetness and moisture reaches (the skin) from hairs it is sufficient.

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about wine which is turned into vinegar. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful if one has not placed in it what overwhelms it.’”

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘The ordained shares are not more than six.’”
