أيوب

Everything in this book that is narrated from Ayyub ibn Nuh has been transmitted by me from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah and Al-Himyari together, from Ayyub ibn Nuh.

And among them Ayyub bin Nuh bin Darraj:

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Holy Prophet, was informed about abu Ayyub’s divorcing his wife. The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, then said, ‘Divorcing ‘Umm (mother of) Ayyub is a sin."

And whatever is narrated from Ayyub bin A'yan, I have narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sa'd bin Abdullah, from Muhammad bin Al-Husayn bin Abi Al-Khattab, from Al-Hakam bin Miskin, from Ayyub bin A'yan.

“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘When Allah, most Blessed, most High, granted good health to Ayyub (a.s.), he looked to the Israelites who had their plantations. He raised his eyes to the sky and said, ‘O Lord, my Master, this is Your slave Ayyub who was in suffering and You granted him good health but he does not have any plantation. These are people of banu Israel who have their plantations.’ Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, sent him revelation that said, ‘Take a handful from you rosary beads and use it as seed .’ His rosary beads had salt in it, Ayyub (a.s.), took a handful from it and used it as seed and what grew was this lintel. You call it chickpeas and we call it lintels.’”

“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘There is nothing more beloved to Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, than a deed that is continued by a servant (of Allah) even though it is very little.’”

he heard saying, “Verily Prophet Ayyūb (a) said, ‘O Lord, I have never asked You for anything of this world, ever.’ And an inkling of self-admiration entered his heart. Then a cloud approached him and called out to him, ‘O Ayyūb, who enabled you to do this?’ [Thus he realised the mistake, and turning to his Lord] he said, ‘You, O Lord!’”

18 – ʿAbdullāh b. Ayyūb, al-Qummī. The ghulāt mentioned him and narrated from him. He is not recognized.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Abu Ayyub Al-Khazzaz has been transmitted by me from Muhammad ibn Musa ibn Al-Mutawakkil - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn ibn Abi Al-Khattab, from Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub, from Abu Ayyub Ibrahim ibn Uthman Al-Khazzaz. It is also said that his name was Ibrahim ibn Isa.

And whatever is narrated from Ayyub ibn Al-Harr, I have narrated it from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan Al-Ṣaffar, from Ahmad ibn Abi Abdillah Al-Barqi, from his father, from Al-Naḍr ibn Suwayd, from Yahya Al-Halabi, from Ayyub ibn Al-Harr Al-Juʿfi Al-Kufi, the brother of Adim ibn Al-Harr, and he was a freed slave.

65 – al-Qāsim b. Muḥammad b. Ayyūb b. Shammūn. He was from the noteworthy of the Shīʿa, however he did not narrate anything.

“I saw abu al-Hassan (a.s.), after slaughtering his offering and shaving applied musk to his head and visited the House wearing a shirt and he (the Imam) was for al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous).” NOTE: Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ‘Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from abu Ayyub a similar Hadith.

certain individuals of our people has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘When four things spread four other things appear: When fornication spreads all over, earthquakes turn out to be apparent. When injustice in governing is widespread, drops (of rain are) held back, when the rights of al-Dhimmah taxpayers are ignored, the pagans dominate the followers of Islam and when payment of al-Zakat (charity) is held back poverty spreads all over.’”

And whatever is narrated from Fadala ibn Ayyub, I have narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) have mercy on him - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id, from Fadala ibn Ayyub. And I have also narrated it from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Al-Husayn ibn Al-Hasan ibn Aban, from Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id, from Fadala ibn Ayyub.

by Ayyub ibn Nuh that He said: "One should move away from the main roads to the right or to the left and pray."

"Indeed, one of them combines (qarana) and drives (hady), and so I leave him as a consequence (punishment) for what he has done."

“The Jews asked the Messenger of Allah (s.a.), ‘Describe for us the genealogy- of your Lord.’” The Prophet waited for three days and gave no reply. Then the following verses were revealed to him: In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful (Muhammad), say, “He is the only God (112:1). God is Absolute (112:2). He neither begets nor was He begotten (112:3). There is no one equal to Him (112:4). The same Hadith has been narrated by Muhammad ibn Yahya from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from abu Ayyub.

“I asked abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most gracious. “To those who have said, “God is our Lord, “ and who have remained steadfast to their belief,. .” (41:30) The Imam (a.s.) said, “It refers to those who remained steadfast in their belief of Leadership with Divine Authority of the Imams one after the other,” “ the angels will descend saying, “Do not be afraid or grieved. Receive the glad news of the Paradise which was promised to you. (41:30)”

abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the meaning of the following words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High. “To those who have said, ‘God is our Lord,’ and who have remained steadfast to their belief. .” The Imams (a.s.) said, “Those who remain steadfast in respecting the Divine authority of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) and his successors, the Imams (a.s.) one after the other then, ‘ the angels will descend saying, “Do not be afraid or grieved. Receive the glad news of the Paradise which was promised to you.’” (41:30)

I heard Laylā say that she heard the lamentation of Jinn over Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.). She heard them recite the following poem: O eyes! Shed abundant tears over Ḥusain (a.s.), for verily the grieved ones cry with agony. O eyes! Do not allow the people of Madīnah to distract you from remembering the family of Muḥammad (s.a.a.w.) and (weeping) over their agonies. Their bodies were left for three days on the desert where they were martyred (and their bodies were left) among the beasts.
