Everything in this book that is narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr Al-Bazanti has been transmitted by me from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah and Al-Himyari together, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn 'Isa, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr Al-Bazanti. I have also narrated it from my father and from Muhammad ibn Ali Majilawayh - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr Al-Bazanti.

“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘Eating broad beans grows the bone marrow of the legs and produces fresh blood.’”

In the case of a virgin, her remaining quiet is her permission, and a woman for her second marriage has her own command and power of decision making."

“Once I heard al-Rida (a.s.) saying, ‘Yawning is from Satan and sneezing is from Allah.”

“Al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘Carnelian disallows poverty and wearing carnelian dispels hypocrisy.’”

“I once asked al-Rida’ (a.s.), about hunting birds at night in their nests. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful.’” Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa has narrated from Ahmad ibn ‘Ushaym from Safwan ibn Yahya from abu al-Hassan al-Rida; ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has narrated a similar Hadith.

“Whenever a poisonous thing like snake or scorpion would bite anyone in the family he (the Imam) would say, ‘Make him drink sawiq of apples.’”

“Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) said, ‘Speak our Hadith clearly because we are eloquent people.’”

And whatever is narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Saʿid Al-Hamadani, I have narrated it from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn Ishaq Al-Ṭalqani - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Saʿid Al-Hamadani Al-Kufi, the freed slave of Banu Hashim.

Abu Abdillah عليه السلام said: Arabize our narrations for we are an eloquent people.

“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about the case of a man who married a woman in manner of al-Mut‘ah; if it is permissible for him to marry her daughter. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is not permissible.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘The most virtuous form of worship is thinking about Allah very often and about His power. ’”

Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Saʿīd narrated to me, he said: The muḥaddiths used to nickname Abū Dāwud “the liar of al-Nakhaʿ”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Abu Jamilah has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Al-Himyari, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn 'Isa, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr Al-Bazanti, from Abu Jamilah Al-Mufaddal ibn Salih.

And whatever is narrated from Al-Kahili, I have narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sad ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr Al-Bazanti, from Abdullah ibn Yahya Al-Kahili.

“A meal that (I may provide) for a Muslim brother (in belief) is more beloved to me than setting free a slave.”

“I once asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about the minimum and maximum period of time of Hayd (menses). He (the Imam) said, ‘It is three days and its maximum is not more than ten days.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that al-Hassan and al-Husayn, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, wore the ring on their left hands.’”

The friend of any individual is his mind and his enemy is his ignorance.”

“Abu al-Hassan (a.s.), once said to me, ‘If you take Ghusl (bath) in Makkah then go to sleep, then before Tawaf, take Ghusl (bath) again.’”
