I asked abu Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) the following: “May Allah keep my soul of service to you, from what kind of material has Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, created the clay of the believers? He then replied, ‘He has created them with the clay from which the prophets were made. Thus, they never become unclean.’”

“Certain persons from Quraysh asked the Messenger of Allah, ‘By what means did you excel the prophets and you were sent as the last of them as their seal?” The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “I was the first to believe in my Lord, and the first to answer Allah when He called the prophets to make a covenant and bear testimony against their own souls to acknowledge and answer positively when asked ‘Am I not your Lord?’ They all had answered, ‘Yes, You Are our Lord.’ I was the first prophet that said, “Yes, You are our Lord.” I, thus, excelled them in the acknowledgment of the Oneness of Allah”

“We announced to the children of Israel in the book: ‘You will certainly make mischief in the land twice” (17:4). The first “mischief ” refers to killing the Commander of the Believers (a.s.) and the second “mischief” refers to stabbing Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali (a.s.). “And you will certainly become exceedingly arrogant” (17:4) refers to killing Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.). “So, when the promise of the nearest to the two came” (17:5) refers to (the time) when the avenger of the blood of Ḥusain (a.s.) will come. “We sent over you Our servants who possessed terrible prowess; so they invaded the very inmost parts of your houses” (17:5) refers to a group of people who will rise before the time of the Qā`im (a.s.) and who will kill anyone who has participated in spilling the blood of the members of the family of Muḥammad (s.a.a.w.). “And it was a warning (completely) fulfilled” (17:5).

“It is not a questioner asked….it is a flowing that flowed and it is a fire that will flame in ath-Thawiyya and then it will move to the tribe of Asad and then to the tribe of Thaqeef. It will burn the enemies of Muhammad’s progeny. This will be before the appearance of al-Qa’im (as).”

5. Muhammad ibn Musa ibn al-Mutawkkil, may Allah have mercy on him, said: `Ali ibn alHusayn al-Sa`dabadi on the authority of Ahmad ibn Abu `Abd Allah al-Barqi, on the authority of his father on the authority of Rabi al-Warraq on the authority of Salih ibn Sahl that Abu `Abd Allah al-Sadiq (AS) was asked to interpret the Word of Allah, the Mighty and High, Every this is perishable but He. He (AS) said: “We.”

By Allah, I love you and acknowledge your Wilaya (Leadership with Divine Authority).” Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) said to him, “What you say is not true.” He said, “Yes, by Allah, I love you and acknowledge your Wilaya. He repeated it three times.” Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) said, “What you say is not true. You are not what you say you are. Allah created the spirits two thousand years before creating the bodies. He then presented to us those who love us. By Allah, I did not see your spirit among those presented to us. Where were you.” The man remained silent and did not talk back.” In an other hadith it is said that abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) said, “He was in thefire.”

“Certain persons of Quraysh asked, ‘O messenger of Allah, by what means have you surpassed the prophets in excellence while you are the last and final one among them to come (with Divine message)?’ He replied, ‘I was the first among them to express my belief in my Lord and the first one to answer the call when Allah made a covenant with the prophets. He asked them to bear testimony against their own selves that they have answered, affirmatively to Allah’s Question, “Am I not your Lord?” I was the first among the prophets to say, “Yes, O Lord, You are the Lord.” By expressing and affirming my belief in Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, as the first one I surpassed them in excellence.’”

“I asked abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Are the believers made from the clay from which the prophets were made?’ He said, ‘Yes, that is correct.’”

“If one loves us and hates our enemies for the sake of Allah and dies even after having committed sins equal to the drops of water of the sea then too Allah will forgive him.”

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: “We announced to the children of Israel in the book: ‘You will certainly make mischief in the land twice” (17:4). The first “mischief” refers to killing ‘Ali (the Commander of the Believers (a.s.)) and the second “mischief” refers to stabbing Ḥasan (a.s.). “And you will certainly become exceedingly arrogant” (17:4) refers to killing Ḥusain (a.s.).

The Commander of the Believers, peace be upon him, is the Loft Palace, and the Abandoned Well is Fatima and her sons, who are abandoned from rulership.

Abraham (MGB) took a hoopoe, a shrike, a peacock and a crow. He chopped them into pieces and mixed them up. Then he placed a part of their mixed flesh on top of (each of) the ten hillsaround there. He held each bird’s beak in his hand. He placed some seeds and water near himself and called out to them. The various parts of each bird started to fly towards each other and formed a perfect body. Each body went towards its own head and joined it to become a live bird. Then Abraham (MGB) let their beaks go. The birds flew and then landed. They drank the water and ate some seeds and said, ‘O Prophet of God! You have revived us. May God revive you.’ Abraham (MGB) said, ‘It is God who revives and takes away life. He has power over all things.’ This is the superficial interpretation.”The Imam (MGB) added, “However, the deep interpretation of this verse is as follows: Find four of the wise people. Teach them your knowledge. Send them around the world to invite the people to worship God.”The compiler of the book - may God be pleased with him - said, “I believe that Abraham (MGB) was ordered to do both things. The birds which he was ordered to catch were: a peacock, an eagle, a rooster and a duck. I heard Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Tayfur say the following regarding the following verse of the Holy Quran, ‘Behold! Abraham said, "My Lord! Show me how Thou givest life to the dead." He said, "Dost thou not then believe?" He said, "Yea! but to satisfy My own undertaking." He said, "Take four birds; Tame them to turn to thee; put a portion of them on every hill and call to them: They will come to thee (Flying) with speed. Then know that Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.”’“Indeed the Honorable the Exalted God ordered Abraham to visit one of His good servants. When Abraham saw him, the man told him, ‘Indeed the Blessed the Sublime God has a servant in this world called Abraham whom He has taken as His friend.’ Abraham asked him, ‘What are the signs of this servant?’ The man said, ‘God will bring back to life the dead for him.’ Then Abraham had doubts that he himself may not be that servant. That is why Abraham asked God to bring the dead back to life for him. ‘He said, "Dost thou not then believe?" He said, "Yea! but to satisfy My own undertaking."’That was when he was ordered to offer his son Ishmael. Indeed the Honorable the Exalted God ordered Abraham (MGB) to offer four birds - a peacock, an eagle, a duck and a rooster. The peacock referred to the adornments of this world. The eagle referred to great expectations. The duck referred to being needy, and the rooster referred to lustfulness. Indeed, in order to revive Abraham’s heart, the Honorable the Exalted God told him that he should abandon these four characteristics, since as long as he have them you cannot be with God.”The Imam (MGB) was asked, ‘Why did God ask Abraham whether or not he believed in God, although God is well-aware of his secrets and conditions?’ The Imam (MGB) replied, ‘When Abraham (MGB) said, ‘My Lord! Show me how Thou givest life to the dead?’ It seems that on the surface Abraham had doubts. However, this was asked so that he may be given a chance to answer and be acquitted of any such accusations.”

abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) has said the following about the verse of the Holy Quran below. “God is the light of the heavens and the earth. A metaphor for His light is a lantern in which there is a lamp placed in a glass. The glass is like a shining star which is lit from a blessed olive tree that is neither eastern nor western. Its oil almost lights up even though it has not been touched by the fire. It is light upon light. God guides to His light whomever He wants. God uses various metaphors. He has the knowledge of all things.” (24:35) The Imam (a.s.) said that the lantern metaphorically stands for the Holy lady, Fatima (a.s.), the lamp stands for Imam al-Hassan (a.s.) and the glass stands for Imam al-Husayn (a.s.). The shining star stands for the Holy lady Fatima (a.s.) who shines among the ladies of the world. The blessed olive tree stands for Prophet Abraham. Neither eastern nor western means not Jewish nor Christian. ‘Its oil almost lights up’ means that it almost bursts up with knowledge. ‘Light up on light’ means that there will one Imam after the other Imam (a.s.) ‘God guides to His light who ever He wants’ means that Allah guides through the Imams whomever He wants.” About ‘God uses various metaphors’ I said, “Or it (the deeds of the unbelievers) are like the darkness of a deep, stormy sea with layers of giant waves, covered by dark clouds. It is darkness upon darkness whereby even if one stretches out his hands he can not see them. One can have no light unless God gives him light. (24:40) The Imam (a.s.) said, “ ‘darkness’ refers to the first and his friend, ‘with layers of giant waves’ refers to the third, ‘covered with darkness’ refers to the second. ‘it is darkness up on darkness’ refers to Mu‘awiya and the disasters caused by the Amavides. ‘even if one stretches out his hands’ means that even if a true believer would stretch his hands in such disastrous condition ‘he can not see them’. ‘One can have no light unless God gives him light, means the light from the children of the Holy Lady, Fatima (a.s.) ‘Can have no light’ means an Imam on the Day of Judgment.” The Imam (a.s.) said that, “On the Day of Judgment you will see the believers with their light shining in front of them and to their right. They will be told, “Paradise wherein streams flow is the glad news for you today. You will live therein forever. This is the greatest triumph.” (57:12), the shining light in front . .’ is a reference to the Imams (a.s.) whom would walk in front and on the right of the true believers until they all enter paradise.” Ali ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn al-Hassan have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Musa ibn al-Qasim al-Bajali and Muhammad ibn yahya from al-‘Amrakiy ibn Ali altogether from Ali ibn Ja‘far (a.s.) from his brother a similar Hadith.

“The messenger of Allah was asked, ‘By what means have you surpassed other descendents of Adam?’ He said, ‘I was the first one to affirm my faith in my Lord. Allah established a covenant with the prophets and made them to bear testimony against their own souls when the Lord asked, “Am I not your Lord.” They all said, “Yes, You are the Lord.” I was the first one to answer that question positively.’”

«Everything is to perish, except for His Face» (28:88). He said: Us.

“He was asked about compulsion and predetermination. He said, “There is no compulsion and no predetermination. It is something between the two. In this there is the truth that is known only to a scholar or one whom the scholar has taught.”
