Hadith 60
۞
Muhammad b. al-Hasan (rh) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us. He said: Al-`Abbas b. Ma`ruf narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-Khazzaz narrated to us from Ghiyath b. Ibrahim from al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad from his father from his grandfather (as). He said
The Messenger of Allah (s) passed by a people who were lifting a boulder competitively. He said: What is this? They said: Through this, we will know who is strongest among us. So, he (s) said: Shall I not inform you of who is strongest among you? They said: Of course, O Messenger of Allah. He said: The strongest among you is him who, when he becomes pleased, does not sin and transgress; and when he becomes discontented, does not allow his disconnectedness to lead him to say other than the truth; and when he comes to power, does not deal in that which he has no right in.

مر رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) بقوم يربعون (2) حجرا، قال: ما هذا؟ قالوا: نعرف بذلك أشدنا وأقوانا. فقال (صلى الله عليه وآله): ألا أخبركم بأشدكم وأقواكم؟ قالوا: بلى، يا رسول الله. قال: أشدكم وأقواكم الذي إذا رضي لم يدخله رضاه في إثم ولا باطل، وإذا سخط لم يخرجه سخطه من قول الحق، وإذا قدر لم يتعاط ما ليس له بحق (3).
