Hadith 123
۞
10. He said: Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Hasan reported to me from his father, who reported from Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Saffar, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa, from al-Hasan ibn Mahboob, from Malik ibn Atiyyah, from Abu Hamza al-Thumali, who said
‘Ali ibnal-Husayn Zainul Abedeen, peace be upon him, used to say: "O son of Adam, you will always be on the right path as long as you have an admonisher from your inner self; and as long as you remain concerned about taking your own account; and as long as the fear of Allah and the repentance (for your lapses) remain your apparel. You will surely die one day, to stand before Allah the Most High, (so be ready with your answers)." And may Allah bless our master Muhammad, the Prophet and his progeny.
10 - قال: أخبرني أحمد بن محمد بن الحسن، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن الحسن الصفار، عن أحمد بن محمد بن عيسى، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن مالك بن عطية، عن أبي حمزة الثمالي قال
كان علي بن الحسين زين العابدين عليهما السلام يقول: ابن آدم إنك لا تزال بخير ما كان لك واعظ من نفسك، وما كانت المحاسبة لها من همك،، وما كان الخوف لك شعارا، والحزن لك دثارا . إنك ميت ومبعوث موقوف بين يدي الله عز وجل [فأعد جوابا]. وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد النبي وآله وسلم تسليما.
