Hadith 366

7. He said: Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Umar al-Ji’abi reported to me from al-Sheikh al-Swaleh Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Ubaidullah ibn Yaseen, who said: I heard the righteous slave of Allah, ‘Ali ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Ali al-Ridha, peace be upon them, at Samarra, reporting from his forefathers, peace be upon them, who said
Amirul Mu’mineen, peace be upon him said: "Knowledge is the most precious legacy, and civility and good manners are beautiful adornments, and thinking intellectually is a clean mirror, and drawing lessons from the events is the best warner and advisor. The best description to cultivate for yourself is to avoid that which you would not like others to do to you." May Allah bless you our master Muhammad, the Prophet, and his pure progeny.
7 - قال: حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن عمر الجعابي قال: حدثني الشيخ الصالح عبد الله بن محمد بن عبيد الله بن ياسين قال
سمعت العبد الصالح علي بن محمد بن علي الرضا عليهم السلام بسر من رأى يذكر عن آبائه عليهم السلام قال: قال أمير المؤمنين صلوات الله عليه: العلم وراثة كريمة، والآداب حلل حسان، والفكرة مرآة صافية، والاعتبار منذر ناصح ، وكفى بك أدبا لنفسك تركك ما كرهته من غيرك. وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد النبي وآله الطاهرين.
