“Once Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) was asked: Is al-Qa’im born?” He said: “No, he is not. If I live until he is born, I shall serve him as long as I live.”

“Once we ate food with abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.). When the table-spread was collected, he (the Imam) picked up the pieces that had fallen on it and ate them then said to us, ‘This removes poverty and increases the number of children.’”

“I heard abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) say as herein below. “The person who will rise to Divine power on earth will disappear from the public sight before he will do so.” I then asked, “Why, will happen so?” He said, “He will be afraid.” He then pointed to his midsection meaning thereby being murderd.”

I heard Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) mentioning al-Qa’im (as). I said: “I hope that his matter (rising) will be so easy.” He said: “It will be not so until you wipe blood and sweat together.”

I heard ‘Ali ibn Ḥusain (Imam Sajjād (a.s.)) say: One who cries over us and sheds (even) one tear over us will be rewarded by Allāh for that tear; he will be made to dwell in rooms in Paradise where he will stay for long ages and long ages.

O Abdul Aziz! Belief has ten ranks, just like a ladder that has ten steps. One must climb it step by step.
One who has attained two of these ranks should not say to the one who has only attained the first rank, ‘You are not upon anything (You do not have faith).’
One who has attained three of these ranks should not say to the one who has only attained the first two ranks, ‘You are not upon anything.’
The same thing holds true up until the tenth rank.‘ He (the Imam) then said, ‘Salman was in the tenth (rank), Abu Dharr was in the ninth and Miqdad was in the eighth.
O Abdul Aziz! You should not consider anyone who has attained a rank lower than yourself to lack faith, so that those who have attained a higher rank than you have do not consider you to lack faith. When you see someone who is in a lower rank than you are, kindly assist him up to your rank, and do not force upon him what he cannot tolerate, since you may break him (hurt him) this way. One who breaks (hurts) a believer should help him get unhurt; because if you place the load that you would normally place on a nine-year old camel on a baby camel, you would break its back (and kill it).’”

“Once I was in the presence of abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) and there other people also were present so I thought the Imam (a.s.) meant people other thanme when he said, “By Allah, the in chrage of this task (Leadership with Divine Authority) will disappear from your sight and this (case) will become so obscure that people will say, “He is dead, destroyed or no one knows in which valley has he traveled. You will be shaken just as the ship is shaken in the rough seas and choppy water. No one will remain safe except those in whose hear He has written faith and has supported with an spirit from Him. You will raise twelve identical flags so much so that one would not know which is whiCh” The narrator has said, “I then wept.” The Imam (a.s.) asked, “what has caused you to weep, O abu ‘Abdallah ?” I then said, “May Allah take my soul in service for your cause, “How can I stop weeping when you say, “Twelve identical flags. . “ The narrator has said that the place of gathering sun light had come in through a whole. The Imam (a.s.) said, “Is this (sun light on the spot) clear?” I said, “Yes, it is clear.” The Imam (a.s.) said, “ our case is clear even more than this.”
