8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from af-Husayn ibn abu Najran from Safwan al-Jammai who has said the
foiiowing: “Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), once led us in al-Maghrib Salah (prayer) and recited al- Ma’udhatayn in two Rak’at.”
8ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ الْجَمَّالِ قَالَ
صَلَّى بِنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) الْمَغْرِبَ فَقَرَأَ بِالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Hamzah al-Ash‘ariy in a marfu‘ manner has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Removing hairs from the nostrils (outside) beautifies the face.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One in the state of Ihram must not submerge his head in the water, as well as one fasting.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
لا يَرْتَمِسُ الْمُحْرِمُ فِي الْمَاءِ وَلا الصَّائِمُ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn abu al-Qasim from his father in a marfu’ manner who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A good looking woman cuts down phlegm and an ugly looking woman excites black bile.’”
1- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
الْمَرْأَةُ الْجَمِيلَةُ تَقْطَعُ الْبَلْغَمَ وَالْمَرْأَةُ السَّوْءَاءُ تُهَيِّجُ الْمِرَّةَ السَّوْدَاءَ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya’qub from abu Usamah who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Using perfume is of the discipline of the Messengers ‘Alayhim al-Salam.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) would say, ‘Three kinds of people do not offer greetings: one walking in funeral procession, one walking to attend Friday prayer and in the bathing places.’”
11ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
كَانَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ ثَلاثَةٌ لا يُسَلَّمُونَ الْمَاشِي مَعَ الْجَنَازَةِ وَالْمَاشِي إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ وَفِي بَيْتِ الْحَمَّامِ.

In the case of a virgin, her remaining quiet is her permission, and a woman for her second marriage has her own command and power of decision making."

“I saw abu Ja’far (a.s.), had applied hair dye with henna of red color.’”

8. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from those whom he has mentioned who has said the following
“Once we mentioned trimming the mustache before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.). He (the Imam) said, ‘It is a charm and trimming it is of Sunnah.”’

ذَكَرْنَا الْأَخْذَ مِنَ الشَّارِبِ فَقَالَ نُشْرَةٌ وَ هُوَ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ .

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Ibrahim ibn abu al-Balad who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about an animal slaughtered by a castrated person. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful to use it for food.’”

لَيْسَ عَلَى الْمَمْلُوكِ حَجٌّ وَلا عُمْرَةٌ حَتَّى يُعْتَقَ.

12. Muhammad ibn Yahya in a marfu‘ manner has narrated from the following: “About a man who dyes his head with henna and notices it during Wudu’, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘
It is not permissible until water reaches the skin of his head.’”
12ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى رَفَعَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) فِي الَّذِي يَخْضِبُ رَأْسَهُ بِالْحِنَّاءِ ثُمَّ يَبْدُو لَهُ فِي الْوُضُوءِ قَالَ
لاَ يَجُوزُ حَتَّى يُصِيبَ بَشَرَةَ رَأْسِهِ بِالْمَاءِ.

قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) الْمُؤْمِنُونَ مِنْ طِينَةِ الأنْبِيَاءِ قَالَ نَعَمْ.

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ اتَّقُوا الله وَصُونُوا دِينَكُمْ بِالْوَرَعِ.

قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) يُجْزِئُ التَّحَرِّي أَبَداً إِذَا لَمْ يُعْلَمْ أَيْنَ وَجْهُ الْقِبْلَةِ.

تُكْرَهُ الصَّلاَةُ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْمَصْبُوغِ الْمُشْبَعِ الْمُفْدَمِ.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who bundles up his hairs on the top of his head, has said, ‘He is required to perform his Salah (prayer) again.’” (Fatwa best explains this Hadith.)
