H 403 - It is narrated from Fadhl bin Shazan from Musa bin Sadan from Abdullah bin Qasim Hadhrami from Abi Saeed Khurasani that he said
I asked Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s), “Why is he named as Qaim?” He said: “Because he will rise after his name dies. He will establish a mighty enterprise. He will rise up by the command of Allah, the Glorified.”
403- الفضل بن شاذان، عن موسى بن سعدان، عن عبد الله بن قاسم الحضرمي، عن أبي سعيد الخراساني قال
قلت لابي عبد الله عليه السلام: لأي شيء سمي القائم؟ قال: لأنه يقوم بعدما يموت، إنه يقوم بأمر عظيم يقوم بأمر الله سبحانه.

Hadith.2874 - Ibn Mahbub narrated from Hisham ibn Salim, from Abu Basir, from one of the Imams (as), regarding a man who gave another person money to perform a single Hajj (Hajjah Mufradah) on his behalf. The question was asked
"Is it permissible for him to perform the Tamattu' (combining 'Umrah and Hajj) instead?" Imam (as) said: "Yes, he has only deviated to what is more virtuous and better."
2874 - وَ رَوَى اِبْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ
فِي رَجُلٍ أَعْطَى رَجُلاً دَرَاهِمَ يَحُجُّ بِهَا عَنْهُ حَجَّةً مُفْرَدَةً أَ يَجُوزُ لَهُ أَنْ يَتَمَتَّعَ «بِالْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى اَلْحَجِّ» قَالَ «نَعَمْ إِنَّمَا خَالَفَهُ إِلَى اَلْفَضْلِ وَ اَلْخَيْرِ ».

10. A group of our companions narrated to me from Aḥmad ibn Idrīs, and from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā Al-‘Aťťār, from ‘Amraki ibn Al-Būfaki, from someone who narrated to him, from Muḥammad ibn Fuďayl, from Abī Rabāb, who said
I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) about (the reward for) going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) said, “It is equal to performing an ‘Umrah, and one is not permitted to stay away from it for longer than four years.”
10 وَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْعَمْرَكِيِّ بْنِ الْبُوفَكِيِّ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ أَبِي رَبَابٍ [رِئَابٍ] قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) عَنْ زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ نَعَمْ تَعْدِلُ عُمْرَةً وَ لَا يَنْبَغِي أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفَ عَنْهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَرْبَعِ سِنِينَ

hadith 743
7. It is narrated from Muḥammad ibn Marwān, from Muḥammad ibn Faďl, who said
I heard Ja’far ibn Muḥammad (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) say: Those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) in the month of Ramaďan and die on their route will not be judged (on the Day of Judgment), their book of deeds will not be published, and they will be told, “Enter Paradise safely.”
7 وَ رُوِيَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ (ع) يَقُولُ مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَ مَاتَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ لَمْ يُعْرَضْ وَ لَمْ يُحَاسَبْ وَ يُقَالُ لَهُ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ آمِناً

Hadith.3956 - Hammad narrated from Al-Halabi, who reported from Abu Abdullah (as), that Imam (as) was asked about hoarding (ḥukrah). Imam (as) said
"Hoarding is when you purchase food, and there is no other food available in the town, and then you hoard it. However, if there is other food or goods available in the town, then there is no harm in seeking profit through your merchandise."
3956 - وَ رَوَى حَمَّادٌ عَنِ اَلْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ اَلْحُكْرَةِ فَقَالَ
"إِنَّمَا اَلْحُكْرَةُ أَنْ تَشْتَرِيَ طَعَاماً وَ لَيْسَ فِي اَلْمِصْرِ غَيْرُهُ فَتَحْتَكِرَهُ فَإِنْ كَانَ فِي اَلْمِصْرِ طَعَامٌ أَوْ مَتَاعٌ غَيْرُهُ فَلاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ تَلْتَمِسَ بِسِلْعَتِكَ اَلْفَضْلَ".

3. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Sharif ibn Sabiq from al-Fadl ibn Abu Qurrah from Abu Qurrah from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Once, a man wrote al-Husayn (a.s.) asking, ‘Instruct me with good advice in two letters.’ The Imam wrote back to him, ‘Whoever seeks to acquire something by means of what angers Allah (his deed as such) will be most harmful to his hopes and most hastening to the coming of that which frightens him.’”
3ـ عَنْهُ عَنْ شَرِيفِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ أَبِي قُرَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
كَتَبَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى الْحُسَيْنِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) عِظْنِي بِحَرْفَيْنِ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ مَنْ حَاوَلَ أَمْراً بِمَعْصِيَةِ الله كَانَ أَفْوَتَ لِمَا يَرْجُو وَأَسْرَعَ لِمَجِي‏ءِ مَا يَحْذَرُ.

2. Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Safwan ibn Yahya from ibn Muskan from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sulayman who has said the following
“I once heard Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), saying that Ali (a.s.), would say, ‘Had Banu al-Khattab not prohibited al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) before (the beginning of my administration) no one would commit fornication except the wicked ones.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ كَانَ عَلِيٌّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ لَوْ لا مَا سَبَقَنِي بِهِ بَنِي الْخَطَّابِ مَا زَنَى إِلا شَقِيٌّ.

2. Muhammad ibn ‘Isma’il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Safwan ibn Yahya from Mansur ibn Hazim who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who performs Tawaf (Sa‘y) between al- Safa’ and al-Marwah before Tawaf around the House. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must go back to perform Tawaf around the House, then return to perform Sa‘y between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ يَعُودُ إِلَى الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَيَطُوفُ بَيْنَهُمَا.

9. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj who has narrated the following: “About the case of a man who gives something to his small children then he decides to make his other children share it with them, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘
It is not harmful.’”
9- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَجْعَلُ لِوُلْدِهِ شَيْئاً وَهُمْ صِغَارٌ ثُمَّ يَبْدُو لَهُ أَنْ يَجْعَلَ مَعَهُمْ غَيْرَهُمْ مِنْ وُلْدِهِ قَالَ
لا بَأْسَ.

9. Muhammad ibn ‘Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Ibrahim ibn ‘Abd al-Hamid who has said the following
“I once asked abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), about a man who places upon himself for Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, fasting of a definite day. He (the Imam) said, ‘He is required to fast definitely, regardless of being on a journey or at home.’”
9ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا صَلَوَاتُ الله عَلَيْهِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يَجْعَلُ لله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْهِ صَوْمَ يَوْمٍ مُسَمًّى قَالَ يَصُومُهُ أَبَداً فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْحَضَرِ.

6. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from ibn Sama’ah from more than one person from ‘Isma’il ibn al-Fadl who has said the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) about selling fruits. ‘Is it permissible to buy fruits before they are formed?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘If in that area such deals are made and they are profitable which is achieved then there is no offense in such transaction.’”
6- حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ ابْنِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُدْرِكَ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ فِي تِلْكَ الأرْضِ بَيْعٌ لَهُ غَلَّةٌ قَدْ أَدْرَكَتْ فَبَيْعُ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ حَلالٌ.

9. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hafs ibn al-Bakhtariy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is counted in your favor if you join them even if you do not follow them, just like it is counted in your favor when you are with those whom you follow.’” (Ahadith 5-9 are best explained in the form of fatwa.)
9ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ الْبَخْتَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
يُحْسَبُ لَكَ إِذَا دَخَلْتَ مَعَهُمْ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَقْتَدِ بِهِمْ مِثْلُ مَا يُحْسَبُ لَكَ إِذَا كُنْتَ مَعَ مَنْ تَقْتَدِي بِهِ.

28. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Safwan ibn Yahya from ibn Muskan from al-Flalabiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the slippers that we buy from the market if we can perform Salah (prayer) with them. He (the Imam) said, ‘Perform Salah (prayer) with them until you are told that it exactly is from dead animals.’”
28ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) الْخِفَافُ عِنْدَنَا فِي السُّوقِ نَشْتَرِيهَا فَمَا تَرَى فِي الصَّلاَةِ فِيهَا فَقَالَ صَلِّ فِيهَا حَتَّى يُقَالَ لَكَ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ بِعَيْنِهَا.

8. Muhammad ibn Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Rib’iy ibn ‘Abd Allah from al-Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following
“I heard abu Ja‘far (a.s.), say, ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “Chronic poverty and fever cannot come with al-Hajj and al-‘Umrah.’””
8ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) لا يُحَالِفُ الْفَقْرُ وَالْحُمَّى مُدْمِنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Isma’il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Shu’ayb al-‘Aqarqufiy from abu Basir from abu ’Abd Allah, who has said the following
“If something dismayed Imam Ali (a.s.), he would feel restless for Salah (prayer). The Imam then read this, ’Seek help from exercising patience and performing Salah (prayer).’”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ شُعَيْبٍ الْعَقَرْقُوفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
كَانَ عَلِيٌّ (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) إِذَا هَالَهُ شَيْ‏ءٌ فَزِعَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ ثُمَّ تَلاَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ وَاسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاةِ.

2. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan, from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of one of our women who is mixed (with insanity) if she is required to pay Zakat. He (the Imam) said, ‘If her assets are made to work, then Zakat is obligatory on her, but if it is not made to work, Zakat is not obligatory.’”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِنَا مُخْتَلِطَةٌ أَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَاةٌ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ عُمِلَ بِهِ فَعَلَيْهَا زَكَاةٌ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْمَلْ بِهِ فَلاَ.

2. Muhammad ibn ’Isma‘il has narrated from al-Fadl ibn Shadhan from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from Rib‘i ibn ‘Abd Allah from Fudayl ibn Yasar who has said the following
“Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.), would instruct children to perform Salah (prayer) of al-Maghrib and al-‘Isha’ soon, one after the other, saying that it is better for them than falling asleep.”
2ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنِ الْفُضَيْلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ قَالَ
كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (صلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) يَأْمُرُ الصِّبْيَانَ يَجْمَعُونَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ وَيَقُولُ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَنَامُوا عَنْهَا.

“Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The time of al-Dhuhr on Friday begins at Zawal (declining of the sun toward the west at noontime).”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ جَمِيعاً عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
وَقْتُ الظُّهْرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ.

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if al-Mubarat (disavowing) or al-Khul‘ can take place without Hayd (menses)-free period. He (the Imam) said, ‘It cannot take place without Hayd (menses)- free period.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ وَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ جَمِيعاً عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ

“I once heard Aba ‘Abdillah (a.s.), saying, ‘ 'You should eat pomegranate, for no one who is hungry eats it except that it will satisfy him, and no one who is full eats it except that it will make him feel more fulfilled.'"
عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ شَاذَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالرُّمَّانِ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يَأْكُلْهُ جَائِعٌ إِلَّا أَجْزَأَهُ وَ لَا شَبْعَانُ إِلَّا أَمْرَأَهُ .
