Hadith.4302 - Isma'il ibn Sa'd asked Abu al-Hasan Imam Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha (as) about a man who swears an oath, but his intention in the oath differs from the apparent wording. Imam (as) said: "The oath is based on the intention."

Zakat is upon nine things: upon wheat, barley, dates, raisins, camels, cattle, sheep, gold and silver, and the Messenger of Allah (s) pardoned what was apart from that. It is not permissible to pay the zakat to anyone other than the people of walaya. From the people of walaya it is not permissible to give to one’s parents, one’s child, one’s husband, one’s wife, one’s slave and anyone for whose expense the man is obliged.

Imam Ali (AS) said, The people who work in this world are of two types: one works in this world for this world; his world has indeed distracted him from his Hereafter. He fears poverty for those whom he will leave behind but feels safe from it himself; so he spends his entire life for the benefit of others. The other one works in this world for that which is to come after it, so that which is [allotted] for him comes to him without [extra] work. Thus he acquires both the shares together and gains possession of both the abodes collectively.

Hadith.1264 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) "The first to deliver the sermon (khutbah) before the prayer on Jumu’ah was Uthman because, when he would lead the prayer, the people would disperse after the prayer and not stay for his sermon, saying: 'What use is his preaching when he does not adhere to it himself, and he has introduced innovations?' When he noticed this, he placed the two sermons before the prayer."

And whatever is narrated from Ali ibn Hassan, I have narrated it from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan Al-Ṣaffar, from Ali ibn Hassan Al-Wasiṭi. And I have also narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Saʿd ibn Abdullah, from Al-Hasan ibn Musa Al-Khashshab, from Ali ibn Hassan Al-Wasiṭi.

[The obligation of migration :] And immigration stands as its original position. Allāh has no need towards him who secretly accepts belief or him who openly does so. Immigration will not apply to any one unless he recognizes the proof (of Allāh) on the earth. Whoever reco nizes him and acknowledges him would be a muhājir (immigrant). istiḍ‘āf (i.e. freedom from the obligation of immigration) does not apply to him whom the proof (of Allāh) reaches and he hears it and his heart preserves it. I went to Abil Ḥasan Al-‘Askari (Imam Hādi (a.s.)) and he asked me, “Where are you coming from?” I replied, “I went to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.).” Imam (a.s.) said, “If you had gone to the Ziyārah of the grave of Abdil ‘Ażīm who is (buried) near you, you would have been like those who have gone to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.).”

“One of the two Imam, (abu Ja’far or abu ‘Abd Allah), ‘Alayhim al-Salam, has said, ’My father would perform Sajdah (prostration) on a prayer mat. He would place it on Tanfash (carpet) and perform Sajdah (prostration) on it. If there was no prayer mat, he placed pebbles on Tanfash and performed Sajdah (prostration) on it.’”

“I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), about wiping on slippers because of Taqiyah (caution due to fear). He (the Imam) said, ‘There is no Taqiyah (caution because of fear) in three things.’ I then asked, ‘What are they?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is drinking wine,’ or he said, ‘Drinking intoxicating liquor, wiping on slippers and Mut‘ah (advantage) of al-Hajj.”’

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه واله said: Allah Mighty and Majestic has ninety-nine names. Whoever asks Allah through them is answered. Whoever enumerates them enters paradise.

“I once went to visit abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and I saw three green pigeons on his furnishing which had made droppings on the furnishings and I said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, these pigeons have dirtied the furnishings.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘No, it is preferable that they stay inside the house.’”

we came out heading towards Makka together with Ali b. Abi Hamza and he had with him some wealth and possessions, we said: what is this? he said: they belong to the Righteous Servant عليه السلام, he ordered me to hand them over to his son Ali عليه السلام and has made a testament in his favour.

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, about the reward for clipping the mustache and fingernails every Friday. He (the Imam) said, ‘He continues with cleanliness until the next Friday.’”

Abul Ḥasan, Mūsā ibn Ja’far (Imam Kāżim (a.s.)) said: Those who go to the Ziyārah of this son of mine – and pointed to Abil Ḥasan Al-Riďā (a.s.) – will be rewarded with Paradise.

“I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), about the case of a girl who is taken as captive from the pagan’s land then she becomes Muslim and she is asked for Khafd but we are not able against a woman. He (the Imam) said, ’Circumcision is for men and not for women.”’ (It a is reference to lowering or reducing female clitoris )

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said (as part of a longer Ḥadīth): After saying Salām to the martyrs, come (back) to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) and face the grave and establish as many prayers as possible.

“About the case of the roof of a house which is eight yards high, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that it is a residence. If it is higher than eight yards, then on the level of eight yard height you must write verse 2:255.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about women’s performing Salah (prayer) for deceased people if there is no man present among them. He (the Imam) said, ‘They all line up and no one of them stands up in front of others.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who doubts in obligatory Tawaf. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must do it again whenever he doubts.’ I said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, what if one doubts in optional Tawaf? He (the Imam) said, ‘He considers it to be of the lesser amount.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.), would spread his gown as furnishing when the husband of his daughter or sister would come to him (the Imam) and would say, ‘Welcome to the one who has taken good care of a need and the one who protected the privacy.’”
