Imam Ali (AS) said, The [true] friend is he who forbids [one from] injustice and wrongdoing while helping [one] to perform good deeds and be righteous.

Imam Ali (AS) said, When a person persists in sinning and [still] expects to be forgiven, then he is under a delusion about Allah, the Glorified.

Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Every supplication remains veiled until blessings are invoked on the Prophet (SAWA).

Imam Ali (AS) said, Neediness has been decreed for those from among the people of this world who seek to increase their wealth while those who get along without it have been assisted with comfort.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Allah has prescribed Islam for you and has made its laws easy, and He has strengthened its pillars against those who wage war with it.

Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Seeking counsel has been highly emphasised because the opinion of the counselor is unadulterated whereas the opinion of the one seeking counsel is polluted with his own whims.

Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Allah has ordained a duty for all of your body parts, and they will be used as proofs and witnesses over you on the Day of Resurrection.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Turn your soul away when faced with lustful desires and make it steadfast on the book of Allah when faced with doubts.

Imam Ali (AS) said, The person who will face the quickest retribution is the man with whom you make a contract while having the intention of being loyal to it, whereas his intention is to betray you.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Never allow yourself to trust in anyone but Allah, and you should have no hope in anyone but Allah.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Make yourself a guardian over your soul and reserve a portion of this world for your Hereafter.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Let the most preferred people in your eyes be the ones who guide you to your faults and help you to reform yourself.

Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Even if Allah had not fixed punishments and threats for acts of disobedience to Him, we would still be obliged not to disobey Him, simply by way of gratitude to Him for His bounties.

Imam Ali (AS) said, One who neither despairs over the past nor becomes overjoyed with the future has taken asceticism from both its sides.

Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘The Imam needs a wise heart, an expressive tongue and a staunch soul [i.e. authority] in establishing the truth.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Verily this world is passing you by in its normal fashion, and you are connected to the Hereafter.

“I saw Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.), wearing clothes of lentil color.’”

One is that if he were an Imam with ascertained infallibility, there must be explicit statements by the Messenger of Allah (s) and Amirul Momineen, Imam Ali Ibne Abi Talib (a.s) about him, because infallibility can only be determined through the statement of another infallible entity. However, the Kaisaniyya do not claim an explicit tradition with this regard. Instead, they rely on weak instances, which have led them to confusion, but are far from being explicit words. One is that Amirul Momineen (a.s) granted him the standard on the battle of the Camel in Basra, and his saying, “You are truly my son,” while Hasan and Husain (a.s) were also his sons. These instances do not establish his Imamate in any way, and rather, indicate his excellence and high position.

Hadith.5338 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) was asked about four individuals who killed a man: one was a slave, one was a free man, one was a free woman, and one was a mukatab (a slave who had entered into a contract for his freedom and had paid half of it). Imam (as) said: "The compensation (diyyah) is to be divided as follows: the free man must pay one-fourth of the diyyah, the free woman must pay one-fourth of the diyyah, and regarding the slave, his master is given the choice - if he wills, he can pay on his behalf, and if he wills, he can surrender him entirely, and the slave's family bears no responsibility. As for the mukatab, half of one-fourth of the diyyah is taken from his own wealth, and the other half of that one-fourth is taken from those who entered into the contract with him, because half of him has been freed."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that if people neglect performing al-Hajj, the authorities will force them to perform al-Hajj and to reside therein. If people neglect visiting the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, the authorities will force them to do so and reside there. If they will not be able to bear the expenses, the authorities will pay for them from the public treasury.”
