“Sadir was present when the Imam said, ‘When Allah loves a servant He deeply immerses him in misfortunes. You and we, O Sadir, live in it mornings and evenings.’”

Whoever awakes and finds the coolness of our love upon his heart should praise Allah for the beginning of blessing. It was said: What is the beginning of blessing? So, he said: A pure birth.

Indeed the Honorable the Exalted God ordered me to love four people.” He (MGB) was asked, “O Prophet of God! Who are they?” The Prophet (MGB) replied, “Ali is one of them. I was also ordered to love Salman, Abuzar and Miqdad. I was told that God also loves them.”

I saw the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) kiss Ḥasan and Ḥusain (a.s.) and say: The fire will not touch the face of those who are sincere in their love for Ḥasan and Ḥusain (a.s.) and their progeny, even if their sins are equal to the number of (grains of) sand, unless they have committed a sin that expels them from the faith.

“O Aqil! My love for you is twofold. I myself love you and I also love you since Abi Talib loves you.”

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: O `Ali! Whoever loves me, loves you, and loves the Imams from your descendants should praise Allah for his pure birth, for none will love us except he who is pure of birth, and none will hate us except for he who is impure of birth.

The Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "Surely, Allah has commanded me to love four of my companions; and has revealed to me that He indeed loves them." We said: "Who are they, O messenger of Allah? And there is none from us who does not wish to be among them." He, peace be upon him and his progeny, said: "Be it known that ‘Ali is among them" - and he repeated this three times - "and al-Miqdad and Abu Dharr al-Ghifari and Salman al-Farsi."

By Allah, I cannot be stopped by Mu’awiya’s authority to speak the truth about ‘Ali, peace be upon him. I heard the Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, say: "‘Ali is the best among you; and in matter of religion, he is the most learned jurist among you, and he knows incisively about my Traditions, more than any of you. And as far the Book of Allah (i.e. the Qu’ran), he is its best student among you all. O, Allah! I love ‘Ali, so You also love him; O Allah! I love ‘Ali, so You also love him."

I heard Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, say: When this verse was sent down unto the Prophet, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family: «The one who brings a good deed, will have better than it» (27:89) the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: O Allah, increase me. Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He, then sent down unto him: «Who is it who will loan to Allah a good loan, so that He may multiply it to him many times over?» (2:245) The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, then knew that abundance from Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He, cannot be counted and has no end.

There are three reasons why the people worship the Exalted the Honorable God. Some worship God in order to receive a reward. Such form of worship is that of greedy people. Some worship God out of fear ofthe Fire. Such form of worship is due to fear. I worship God since I love the Exalted the Honorable God. Such form of worship is that of noble ones. There is security in it as stated by the Honorable the Exalted God, ‘… and they will be secure from terror that Day’ and ‘Say: If ye do love God, Follow me: God will love you and forgive you your sins: ….’ Therefore, the Exalted the Honorable God loves whomever loves God. Whoever the Honorable the Exalted God loves is amongst the secure ones.”

The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said: Hold on to this emptied man (Imam ‘Ali (a.s.)). Verily he is SIDDǏQ AL-AKBAR (the greatest truthful one) and he is the guide of those who follow him. Those who precede him have apostatized the religion of Allāh. Allāh will destroy those who disappoint him. Those who adhere to him have adhered to the “cord of Allāh” (3:103). Allāh guides those who accept his Wilāyah and He leads astray those who neglect his Wilāyah. Ḥasan and Ḥusain (a.s.), the two chiefs of my nation, are from ‘Ali (a.s.) and they are my sons. The Imams of guidance and Mahdi, the Qā`im (a.s.), are (all) from the children of Ḥusain (a.s.). Therefore, love them and follow them. Do not take their enemies as friends or choose them as leaders above them, for if you do, the wrath of Allāh will befall you and you will be disgraced in this world. “And he who forges a lie fails miserably” (20:61).

Abu Abdullah (asws) having said when they came up to him and said, ‘But rather, we love you (asws) due to your (asws) nearness to the Rasool (saww) Allah (azwj), and for what Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic has Obligated from your (asws) rights. We do not love you (asws) for the sake of the world for getting a share of it from you (asws). But (we love you (asws)) only for the Sake of Allah (azwj) and the House of the Hereafter and that the man from among us would be able to correct his Religion’. So Abu Abdullah (asws) said: ‘You have spoken the truth, you have spoken the truth’. Then he (asws) said: ‘The one who loves us (asws) is as if he is with us (asws), or will come with us (asws) on the Day of Judgement like this’ – then he (asws) joined the two forefingers, then said – ‘By Allah (azwj)! If the man were to Fast during the day, and stand up (for Prayer) during the night, then meets Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic without our (asws) Wilayah, (the People (asws) of the Household) he then would be facing Him (azwj) (in such that) Allah (azwj) would either be Unhappy with him or Angry against him’. Then he (asws) said: ‘And that is the Statement of Allah (azwj) Mighty and Majestic: “[9:54] The only reasons why their contributions are not accepted are: that they reject Allah and His Rasool; that they come to prayer without earnestness; and that they offer contributions unwillingly [9:55] Let not then their property and their children excite your admiration; Allah only wishes to chastise them with these in this world’s life and (that) their souls may depart while they are unbelievers” Then he (asws) said: ‘And such is that belief that the (bad) deed neither had affected it adversely nor is that disbelief that the (good) deed had provided any profit to it’. Then he (asws) said; ‘You should become (believers in) Oneness (of Allah (azwj)) for the Rasool (saww) Allah (azwj) had called the people to the Oneness (of Allah (azwj)) but they did not answer him (saww), and the first one who had came forward to him (saww) was Ali (asws) Bin Abu Talib (asws), and the Rasool (saww) Allah (azwj) said: ‘You (asws) are from me (saww) of the status which Haroun (as) had from Musa (as) except that there is no Prophet (as) after me (saww)’.
