hadith 309
3. Muḥammad ibn Ja’far Al-Razzāz narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Abī Dāwūd Al-Mustariq, from Um Sa’īd Al-Aḥmasiyyah, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) asked me, “O Um Sa’īd! Do you go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” I replied, “Yes.” Imam (a.s.) said, “Go to his Ziyārah, for verily going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) is WĀJIB (mandatory) on both men and women.”
3 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّزَّازُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ أَبِي دَاوُدَ الْمُسْتَرِقِّ عَنْ أُمِّ سَعِيدٍ الْأَحْمَسِيَّةِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَتْ
قَالَ لِي يَا أُمَّ سَعِيدٍ تَزُورِينَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ لِي زُورِيهِ فَإِنَّ زِيَارَةَ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ وَاجِبَةٌ عَلَى الرِّجَالِ وَ النِّسَاءِ

7. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, and from Muḥammad ibn ‘Abdil Ḥamīd, from Yūnus ibn Ya’qūb, from Um Sa’īd Al-Aḥmasiyyah, who said
I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “What do you say is the reward for the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “O Um Sa’īd! We say that it is equal to the reward of a Hajj and an ‘Umrah, and there is this much reward in it.” Um Sa’īd added that the Imam (a.s.) stretched open his arms with his fingers bent.
7 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أُمِّ سَعِيدٍ الْأَحْمَسِيَّةِ قَالَتْ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) أَيَّ شَيْءٍ تَذْكُرُ فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) مِنَ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ يُذْكَرُ فِيهِ يَا أُمَّ سَعِيدٍ فَضْلُ حِجَّةٍ وَ عُمْرَةٍ وَ خَيْرُهَا كَذَا وَ بَسَطَ يَدَيْهِ [يَدَهُ] وَ نَكَسَ أَصَابِعَهُ

hadith 2160
4. Muhammad ibn al-Husayn has narrated from Muhammad ibn Isma‘il from Salih ibn ‘Uqbah from abu Sa‘id al-Mada’iniy who has said the following
“I once visited abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and said to him, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, can I visit the grave of al-Husayn (a.s.) ?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, O abu Sa‘id, you should visit the grave of the grandson of the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. He is the most likeable of all likeable ones, the cleanest of all clean ones, the most virtuous of all virtuous ones. When you visit him Allah writes for you the reward for twenty- five times performing al-Hajj.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) فَقُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ أَئْتِ [آتِي‏] قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ فَائْتِ قَبْرَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ الله (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَطْيَبِ الطَّيِّبِينَ وَأَطْهَرِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَأَبَرِّ الأَبْرَارِ فَإِذَا زُرْتَهُ كَتَبَ الله لَكَ بِهِ خَمْسَةً وَعِشْرِينَ حَجَّةً.

hadith 462
2. Abul ‘Abbās Al-Qurashi narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl, from Sāliḥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Abī Sa’īd Al-Madā`ini, who said
I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), “May I sacrifice myself for you! Should I go to the grave of the son of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) (Imam Ḥusain (a.s.))?” Imam (a.s.) replied: O Abā Sa’īd! Yes! Go to the grave of the son of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), the most blessed of the blessed ones, the most purified of the purified ones, and the most pious of the pious ones; for if you go to his Ziyārah, Allāh will register the reward of freeing twenty-five slaves for you. The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from a group of our companions, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl, from Sāliḥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Abī Sa’īd Al-Madā`ini, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).
2 وَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْقُرَشِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ آتِي قَبْرَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ائْتِ قَبْرَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أَطْيَبِ الطَّيِّبِينَ [الْأَطْيَبَيْنِ] وَ أَطْهَرَ الْأَطْهَرِينَ وَ أَبَرِّ الْأَبْرَارِ فَإِذَا زُرْتَهُ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكَ عِتْقَ خَمْسٍ وَ عِشْرِينَ رَقَبَةً حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ عِدَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

2. Muḥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Abī ‘Uthmān, from Ismā’īl ibn ‘Abbād, from Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali, from Abī Sa’īd Al-Madā`ini, who said
I went to Abī ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) and asked, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Should I go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied: O Abā Sa’īd! Yes! Go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of the son of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), the most blessed of the blessed ones, the most purified of the purified ones, and the most pious of the pious ones; for if you go to his Ziyārah, twenty-two ‘Umrah will be registered for you.
2 وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ آتِي قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ائْتِ قَبْرَ ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) أَطْيَبِ الطَّيِّبِينَ- وَ أَطْهَرِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ أَبَرِّ الْأَبْرَارِ فَإِذَا زُرْتَهُ كُتِبَ لَكَ اثْنَتَانِ وَ عِشْرُونَ عُمْرَةً

18. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from Mu’allā ibn Abī Shihāb, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) asked the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), “O father! What is the reward for those who come to your Ziyārah?” He (the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.)) replied, “O my son! On the Day of Judgment, it will be my duty to go to the Ziyārah of those who have come to my Ziyārah, during my life or after my death, and to save them from their sins.” The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from ‘Uthmān ibn ‘Isā, from Mu’allā ibn Abī Shihāb, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).
18 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْمُعَلَّى بْنِ أَبِي شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
قَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ (ع) لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) يَا أَبَتَاهْ مَا جَزَاءُ مَنْ زَارَكَ فَقَالَ (ص) يَا بُنَيَّ مَنْ زَارَنِي حَيّاً أَوْ مَيِّتاً كَانَ حَقّاً عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَزُورَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَ أُخَلِّصَهُ مِنْ ذُنُوبِهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ

10. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad, from ‘Abdil Raḥmān ibn Abī Najrān, from Muḥammad ibn Abī ‘Umayr, from ‘Āmir ibn Judhā’ah, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Recite (the following) when you go to the Ḥā`ir: Praise be to Allāh and may Allāh’s blessing be upon Muḥammad and his family. Salām to him and to his family and (may) Allāh’s Mercy and Blessings be upon them. Salām to you, O Abā ‘Abdillāh. May Allāh’s curse be upon those who killed you, those who participated in the spilling of your blood, and those who heard about your killing and were pleased with it. I seek nearness to Allāh by dissociating myself from them.
10 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ آتِي قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا بَا سَعِيدٍ ائْتِ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) أَطْيَبِ الطَّيِّبِينَ وَ أَطْهَرِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ أَبَرِّ الْأَبْرَارِ وَ إِذَا زُرْتَهُ يَا بَا سَعِيدٍ فَسَبِّحْ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ تَسْبِيحَ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (ع) أَلْفَ مَرَّةٍ وَ سَبِّحْ عِنْدَ رِجْلَيْهِ تَسْبِيحَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ (ع) أَلْفَ مَرَّةٍ ثُمَّ صَلِّ عِنْدَهُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ تَقْرَأُ فِيهِمَا يس وَ الرَّحْمَنَ فَإِذَا فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكَ ثَوَابَ ذَلِكَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى قَالَ قُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ عَلِّمْنِي تَسْبِيحَ عَلِيٍّ وَ فَاطِمَةَ (ع) قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا بَا سَعِيدٍ تَسْبِيحُ عَلِيٍّ (ع) سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا تَنْفَذُ خَزَائِنُهُ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا تَبِيدُ مَعَالِمُهُ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا يَفْنَى مَا عِنْدَهُ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا يُشْرِكُ أَحَداً فِي حُكْمِهِ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا اضْمِحْلَالَ لِفَخْرِهِ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا انْقِطَاعَ لِمُدَّتِهِ سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ- وَ تَسْبِيحُ فَاطِمَةَ (ع) سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ الْبَاذِخِ الْعَظِيمِ- سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْعِزِّ الشَّامِخِ الْمُنِيفِ سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْمُلْكِ الْفَاخِرِ الْقَدِيمِ- سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْبَهْجَةِ وَ الْجَمَالِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ تَرَدَّى بِالنُّورِ وَ الْوَقَارِ سُبْحَانَ مَنْ يَرَى أَثَرَ النَّمْلِ فِي الصَّفَا وَ وَقْعَ الطَّيْرِ فِي الْهَوَاءِ

hadith 20
14. Ḥukaym ibn Dāwūd ibn Ḥukaym narrated to me from Salamah ibn Khaťťāb, from Zayd ibn Abī Zayd Al-Hirawi, from Qutaybah ibn Sa’īd, who said
The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said: On the Day of Judgment, I will intercede for those who have come to Madīnah to my Ziyārah, anticipating (the reward from Allāh).
14 وَ عَنْهُ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي زَيْدٍ الْهَرَويُّ عَنْ قطيبة [قُتَيْبَةَ] بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) مَنْ أَتَانِي زَائِراً فِي الْمَدِينَةِ مُحْتَسِباً كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعاً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

3. Abul ‘Abbās narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from Ja’far ibn Bashīr, from Muslim, from ‘Āmir ibn ‘Umayr, and from Sa’īd Al-A’raj, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) once a year.

9. Abul ‘Abbās narrated to me from Al-Zayyāt, from Ja’far ibn Bashīr, from Ḥammād, from Ibn Muslim, from ‘Āmir ibn ‘Umayr, and from Sa’īd Al-A’raj, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) once a year.

ائْتُوا قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً

I went to Abī ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) and asked, “May I sacrifice myself for you! Should I go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied: O Abā Sa’īd! Yes! Go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.), son of the Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.), the most blessed of the blessed ones, the most purified of the purified ones, and the most pious of the pious ones; for if you go to his Ziyārah, Allāh will register twenty-five Hajj for you. The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: Muḥammad ibn Ya’qūb (Al-Kulayni), from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain ibn Abil Khaťťāb, from Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl, from Sāliḥ ibn ‘Uqbah, from Abī Sa’īd Al-Madā`ini, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (a.s.).
2 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّفَّارِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ قَالَ
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فَقُلْتُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ آتِي قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ائْتِ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ (ص) أَطْيَبِ الْأَطْيَبِينَ وَ أَطْهَرِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ أَبَرِّ الْأَبْرَارِ فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا زُرْتَهُ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَكَ بِهِ خَمْساً وَ عِشْرِينَ حِجَّةً حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبِي الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Establishing one prayer in the Mosque of Kūfah is equal to establishing one thousand prayers (elsewhere).
15 وَ عَنْهُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ ظَرِيفِ بْنِ نَاصِحٍ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْقَلَانِسِيِّ قَالَ

7. Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār narrated to me from his father, from his grandfather ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from Ḥasan ibn Sa’īd, from Żarīf ibn Nāsiḥ, from Khālid Al-Qalānisi, who said
I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) say, “Establishing one prayer in the Mosque of Kūfah is equal to establishing one thousand prayers (elsewhere).”

2. My father narrated to me from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from ‘Ali ibn Ḥakam, from ‘Āmir ibn ‘Umayr, and from Sa’īd Al-A’raj, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Go to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) once a year.
2 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ وَ سَعِيدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
ائْتُوا قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) فِي كُلِّ سَنَةٍ مَرَّةً

hadith 610
14. My father narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Hāshim, from his father, from Muḥammad ibn ‘Ali, from Abī Sa’īd ‘Abbād Al-‘Usfuri, from Safwān Al-Jammāl, who said: I heard Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) say
Verily Allāh, the Blessed and the Exalted, has elevated some lands and (bodies of) water above others. Some of these lands and waters boasted to others and some of them transgressed and they have all been punished for not being humble before Allāh. Therefore, Allāh empowered the polytheists over (the land of the) Ka’bah and made the water of Zamzam salty which has ruined its taste. Verily the land of Karbalā and the water of the Euphrates (River) were the first land and (body of) water which glorified Allāh, the Blessed and the Exalted. Therefore, Allāh blessed them and said to the land of Karbalā, “Speak of that with which Allāh, the Exalted, has honoured you, for verily the lands and the waters have boasted to one another.” The land of Karbalā said: I am the sacred and blessed land of Allāh. The (power to) cure has been placed in my dust and in my water, and I am not arrogant. Rather, I am humble and humiliated before He who has blessed me. I do not boast to those who are lower (in rank) than me. Rather, I am thankful to Allāh. Therefore, Allāh honoured it, increased His blessing on it for its humility, and rewarded it with Ḥusain (a.s.) and his companions. Then Abū ‘Abdillāh (a.s.) added, “Allāh elevates those who humble themselves before Him. And Allāh, the Exalted, degrades those who are arrogant.”
14 وَ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ جَمَاعَةُ مَشَايِخِنَا رَحِمَهُمُ اللَّهُ أَبِي وَ أَخِي وَ غَيْرُهُمْ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْعُصْفُرِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع)
مِثْلَهُ وَ زَادَ فِيهِ وَ أَفْضَلَ مَنْزِلٍ وَ مَسْكَنٍ يُسْكِنُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ أَوْلِيَاءَهُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ أَبِي وَ أَخِي وَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ره عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (ع) وَ ذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ مَعَ الزِّيَادَةِ

7. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Mu‘awiyah ibn Wahab who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah, has said, ‘Offer al-Salawat, next to the grave of the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, although Salat of believers reach him wherever they may live. (The word al-Salat in this context may mean, ’Perform salat (prayer) as gift for the Holy Prophet,’ or say, ‘O Allah, grant salawat (favors and compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause).”’
7ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) صَلُّوا إِلَى جَانِبِ قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَإِنْ كَانَتْ صَلاةُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ تَبْلُغُهُ أَيْنَمَا كَانُوا.

4. Muḥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from a scholar of our companions, from Abil Sabbāḥ Al-Kināni, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: The clay of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) is a cure even if the clay is collected from the distance of one mile away (from the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)).

6. My father and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan narrated to me from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from Ibn Abī ‘Umayr, from Ḥammād ibn ‘Uthmān, from Al-Ḥalabi, who said
I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) about the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) said, “(Go) once a year because I do not want you to be identified.”
6 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) فِي زِيَارَةِ قَبْرِ الْحُسَيْنِ (ع) قَالَ
فِي السَّنَةِ مَرَّةً إِنِّي أَكْرَهُ الشُّهْرَةَ

8. My father and Muḥammad ibn Ḥasan both narrated to me from Ḥusain ibn Ḥasan ibn Abān, from Ḥusain ibn Sa’īd, from Faďālah ibn Ayyūb, from Yūsuf Al-Kunāsi, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: When you go to the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.), go to the part of the Euphrates (River) closest to his grave and perform Ghusl with its water.
8 حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي (رحمه الله) وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ جَمِيعاً عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ حَسَنِ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ يُوسُفَ الْكُنَاسِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
إِذَا أَتَيْتَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ ع فَائْتِ الْفُرَاتَ وَ اغْتَسِلْ بِحِيَالِ قَبْرِهِ

14. Abū ‘Abdil Raḥmān Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Ḥusain Al-‘Askari narrated to me from Ḥasan ibn ‘Ali ibn Mahziyār, from his father, from Ḥasan ibn Sa’īd, from Muḥammad ibn Sinān, who said
Imam Riďā (a.s.) said: Establishing one prayer alone in the Mosque of Kūfah has more value than establishing seventy congregational prayers in any other mosque.
14 حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ الرِّضَا (ع) يَقُولُ الصَّلَاةُ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْكُوفَةِ فُرَادَى أَفْضَلُ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ صَلَاةً فِي غَيْرِهِ جَمَاعَةً
