“God’s Prophet (MGB) taught Ali (MGB) a gate which opens up to one-thousand gates each of which opens up to another thousand gates.”

“There will be occultation for the master of this affair. During this time those who remain attached to their religion will be like those who rub their hands on a thorny branch. Then he gestured and said: There is occultation for the master of this affair and every person is duty-bound to fear Allah and remain attached to his religion.”

“One who does injustice to someone else, the Almighty Allah does injustice to him, his children or his grandchildren through a third person.”

“Every animal walking on this earth, fishes of oceans and every small and big thing in the earth and the heaven repents for a good teacher.”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that Amirul Momineen (a.s.) said, “If a believing man or woman strokes the head of an orphan with mercy, Allah will grant him/her a light for each hair of the head of that orphan.”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah Al-Barqi has been transmitted by me from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah Al-Barqi. I have also narrated it from my father and from Muhammad ibn Musa ibn Al-Mutawakkil - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Ali ibn Al-Husayn Al-Sa'dabadi, from Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah Al-Barqi.

I asked Abal Ḥasan (Imam Riďā (a.s.)), “What do you say about (the reward for) going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “What is your opinion about this (matter)?” I said, “Some people say that it is equal to performing one Hajj while others say it is equal to performing an ‘Umrah.” Imam (a.s.) said, “It is equal to performing an accepted ‘Umrah.”

‘Ali, (the Commander of the Believers (a.s.)), said: Verily Ḥusain (a.s.) will be killed (viciously). Verily I know the dust of the land on which he will be killed. (It is) the land which is close to the two rivers. The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from Sa’d ibn ‘Abdillāh, from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from Nasr ibn Muzāḥim, from ‘Amr ibn Sa’īd, from Yazīd ibn Isḥāq, from Hāni ibn Hāni, from the Commander of the Believers (a.s.).

I heard Abal Ḥasan (Imam Riďa (a.s.)) say to my father: Those who go to the Ziyārah of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) knowing his rights will be speaking with Allāh on top of His Throne (on the Day of Judgment). “Verily the pious ones will be amidst gardens and springs in the seat of truth, in the presence of the omnipotent sovereign” (54:54-55).

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: When Allāh wills goodness for a slave, He places the love of Ḥusain (a.s.) and the love of his Ziyārah in his heart. When Allāh wills evil for a slave, He places the hatred of Ḥusain (a.s.) and the hatred of his Ziyārah in his heart.

“You should not stand to pray behind three people: an unfamiliar person; someone who ascribes certain boastful attributes to the Divine Leaders, even if he expresses the same beliefs as you do; and one who is corrupt even if he is not boastful about the Divine Leaders.”

I found that all the knowledge of the people is in four areas:1- to know your Lord;2- to know what He has done with you;3- to know what He expects of you; and4- to know what will deviate you from your religion.”

Whoever engages in buying and selling should avoid the following five things. He should not do any business if he cannot do so. They are as follows: usury; swearing to something or someone; covering up the defects of his goods; praising the goods while selling them, and finding faults with goods while buying them.”

Be either a knowledgeable one, a student or a friend of the knowledgeable ones. Do not be of any other group since then you would be destroyed due to their enmity.”

White hair on the forehead is a sign of prosperity. White hair on the two cheeks is a sign of generosity. White hair on the head is a sign of bravery and white hair on the back of the head is a sign of misfortune.”

There are four Heavenly rivers: The Euphrates, the Nile, Sihran and Jehran. The Euphrates provides water in this world and the Hereafter. The Nile provides honey. Sehran provides wine and Jehran provides milk.”

“If a believer gives ghusl to a dead believer and recites: Allaahumma haadhaa badanu a’bdikal mu-mini wa qad akharajta rooh’ahu minhu wa farraqta bainahumaa fa-a’fwaka a’fwak Allah forgives the sins committed by him in one year except for the greater sins.”

I said to al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad (as): What is asceticism in this world? So, he said: Allah has defined that in His Book. He says, “So that you may not grieve at the things you fail to get, nor rejoice over that which has been given to you.” (57:23)

The minimum number of the opening Takbirs (saying God is Great) before the start of the prayer is 1. It may be said three times. It is even better to say it five or even seven times.”The compiler of the book added, “I have compiled the reasons behind the seven opening Takbirs in my book Elal al-Shar’ye val Asbab.”

Do not say your prayer again except for five issues: purity; proper time; the proper direction (of the Qibla) to which you turn to pray; the bowing down; and the prostration.” Then he (MGB) added, “Reciting, the Tashahhud and the Takbir (saying God is Great) are due to the Prophet’s tradition. What is done based on the Prophet’s tradition is not contradictory to God’s ordinance.”
