“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Beware of speaking when two sexual organs meet; it may cause dumbness and muteness.’”

"The most overpowering enemy of a believer is a bad wife."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Three factors help a man enjoy good fortune: One is a cooperating wife, virtuous and kind children, and he finds his living where he lives and is present in his family every morning and evenings.’”

“About the case of a woman who is pregnant and is divorced, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Her waiting period ends with childbirth and he must pay for her maintenance until she gives birth.’”

“Once a man mentioned his wife before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and he praised her quite well. Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), asked, ‘Have you made her jealous?’ He replied, ‘No, I have not done so.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Make her feel jealous.’ He did so and he found the proof; then said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), that he has found the proof and she is as he (the Imam) has said.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Touching women is falling upon them (going to bed with them).”’

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a substance that was taken from the mine in which there were gold, silver and zinc. How could we buy it? He (the Imam) said, ‘You can buy it with both gold and silver.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A woman who has control of her affairs can marry whomever she likes or she can appoint someone as her guardian.’”

"A person in the state of ihram is not allowed to marry or to officiate the marriage of someone who is not in ihram. If they marry or officiate a marriage, the marriage is invalid."

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of my eating ostrich eggs in al-Haram (the sacred area). He (the Imam) said, ‘You must give its price in charity.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Waiting period of a pregnant widow ends with the end of the longer of the two time periods.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the truth in Hadith which people narrate that a man came to the Holy Prophet, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, and complained about his financial condition. He (the Messenger of Allah) commanded him to get married. He married but then came to complain again. He (the Messenger of Allah) commanded him to get married and so on up to three times.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Yes, it (Hadith) is true.’ He (the Imam) then said, ’Sustenance is with women and with the dependents to feed.’”

Hadith.4439 - And Abdullah ibn Sinan asked Abu Abdullah (as) about a man who intends to marry a woman, can he look at her hair? Imam (as) said: "Yes, because he desires to acquire her for the highest price."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One’s divorcing during his illness is not permissible, however, his marriage is permissible.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about buying gold in which there was silver, mercury and soil in exchange for dinars and wariq (dirham). He (the Imam) said, ‘You must not change except with wariq (dirham).’ I then asked him (the Imam) about buying silver in which there was lead and wariq (dirham). If it was pure it was reduced by two or three dirhams of each ten. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not valid except for gold.’”

I asked Abu Abdillah (as): "I purchase a bondwoman from a trustworthy man who informs me that he has not touched her since she menstruated and then purified herself. Is it permissible for me to have relations with her?" Imam (as) said: "It is not permissible for you to have relations with her until she undergoes one menstrual cycle (for istibra'). However, you are allowed to engage in activities other than intercourse. Indeed, those who purchase bondwomans and have relations with them before ensuring they are free from pregnancy through istibra', such people are committing adultery with their wealth."

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), if a man can marry a Christian woman as a second wife, the first being a Muslim woman or a slave-girl as a second wife, the first being a free woman. He (the Imam) said, ‘He cannot marry anyone of them as a second wife, the first being a Muslim woman. One can marry a Muslim woman as a second wife, the first being a slave-girl or a Christian woman. The Muslim woman will have two-thirds of the time, the slave-girl and the Christian woman one-third of the time.’”
