“It does not suffice to just say that you are our followers. You must accept our decrees and guard them, as God has protected them, and you must honor them as God has honored them, and act accordingly as God has ordered.”

“Whenever you repent, God the Almighty will be pleased just as you get happy when you find something that you have lost.”

“Nothing will corrupt the heart as much as committing sins. The heart will encounter the sins, and will continue until the sins overcome it. Then the heart will be turned upside down.”

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘No other thing is attended by the angel as horse racing is and a man’s playing with his wife.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One who drives an animal for offering in al-‘Umrah without al-Hajj must slaughter it before shaving.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Vinegar of wine strengthens tooth gum, kills dawab in the belly and strengthens the ability to understand.’”

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about Cheetah and predator birds; if business could be sought with them. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is possible.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, would wear the ring on his right hand.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous) by Allah is better. Quran had come down about it and the Sunnah has run in this way.’”

“The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, it is detestable to wear black except three items such as slippers, turbans and gowns.”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Women can wear silk garments decorated with embroideries, except in the state of Ihram.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘A contracting slave inherits proportionate to the amount he has paid.’” (The above form of contracting is a contract between a slave and his master, which is an agreement that requires the slave to pay a certain amount to become free. Such contract can entail conditions and restrictions or is without restrictions). [Note: Other Ahadith of this chapter are not translated because of not being applicable in our time.]

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One who fasts on a journey because of ignorance is not required to complete its Qada’ (compensatory fast)/”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If a sheep turns its eyes or moves its tail, it then is clean and properly slaughtered.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘Of birds you can eat whatever has gizzard or spur of the rooster or craws.’”

“I once asked abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), about a man who in the state of Ihram wears shoes and socks. He (the Imam) said, ‘He can do so in case it is an emergency. ‘“

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever rebukes a believer, Allah will debase him in this world and in the hereafter.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about a cloth which is dyed with al-‘Usfur, then washed, and I wear it while I am in the state of Ihram. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, because al-‘Usfur is not of perfumes but I dislike your wearing something that makes you look unusual in the eyes of people.’”

Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘Of good fortune and prosperity of a man is his having the virtuous son.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Mother of the newborn must not be fed anything from the meat of ‘Aqiqah.’”
