7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from a man who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Al-Athmad (antimony) sharpens eye sight, grows hairs and banishes tears.’”

الْإِثْمِدُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ وَ يَذْهَبُ بِالدَّمْعَةِ .

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Ali ibn al-Hakam from ‘Abd Allah ibn Jundab from Sufyan ibn al-Simt who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Clean garments put down the enemy.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Men must not wear silk and clothes with brocades except during a war.’”

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from ibn Bukayr from Zurarah who has narrated the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the case of a man who divorces his wife. He (the Imam) said, ‘She inherits him and he inherits her as long as he has the right to go back to her.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ الْمَرْأَةَ فَقَالَ تَرِثُهُ وَيَرِثُهَا مَا دَامَ لَهُ عَلَيْهَا رَجْعَةٌ.

14. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Musa from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘All intoxicating substances are unlawful, everything fermented is unlawful, and al-Fuqa’ (beer) is unlawful.’”

10. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Muhammad ibn Isma‘il from Tha’labah ibn Maymun who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), would ask Shihab (ibn ‘Abd Rabbihi) to pay zakat due from him to his (Imam’s) servants. It is not permissible for them (’A’immah) to receive zakat, but it is permissible for their servants.”
10ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ قَالَ
كَانَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَسْأَلُ شِهَاباً مِنْ زَكَاتِهِ لِمَوَالِيهِ وَإِنَّمَا حُرِّمَتِ الزَّكَاةُ عَلَيْهِمْ دُونَ مَوَالِيهِمْ.

مِنْ دُبُرِهَا.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Had the servants (of Allah) when ignorant stood on hold and did not reject or deny they would not become unbelievers.’”
19ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لَوْ أَنَّ الْعِبَادَ إِذَا جَهِلُوا وَقَفُوا وَلَمْ يَجْحَدُوا لَمْ يَكْفُرُوا.

13. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Sinan from ’Isma‘il from Jabir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not use for food the animals they slaughter, do not eat in their utensils, meaning thereby people of the book.’”

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Hajjal from Tha‘labah ibn Maymun from Muhammad ibn Qays who has narrated the following
“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), about the testimony of a blind man if it is admissible. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is admissible if he has preserved it.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنِ الأعْمَى تَجُوزُ شَهَادَتُهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ إِذَا أَثْبَتَ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Yunus ibn Ya’qub who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), about the time of leaving ‘Arafat. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is when the redness goes away, that is, from the eastern side.”’ (Fatwa best explains Hadith 1 of this Chapter)
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) مَتَى الإِفَاضَةُ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ قَالَ إِذَا ذَهَبَ الْحُمْرَةُ يَعْنِي مِنَ الْجَانِبِ الشَّرْقِيِّ.

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Tsa from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan Za’lan from abu Tsma’il; in a marfu’ manner’ has said, the following
“Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), would say, ‘Beware of swearing; it may make a merchandise easily sell, but it destroys the blessings.’”

كَانَ يَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْحَلْفَ فَإِنَّهُ يُنَفِّقُ السِّلْعَةَ وَيَمْحَقُ الْبَرَكَةَ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn Musa from Ahmad ibn al-Hassan al-Jallab certain persons of our people who have said the following
“Once a man complained before abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about vitiligo (white spots on one’s skin) and he (the Imam) commanded him to cook al-Mash then drink it and make it a part of his food.”

9. A group of our companions narrated to me from Aḥmad ibn Idrīs, and from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā Al-‘Aťťār, from ‘Amraki ibn ‘Ali, from some of his companions, from one of them (the infallible Imams (a.s.)), who said
Performing four ‘Umrah is equal to performing a Hajj, and going to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) is equal to performing an ‘Umrah.

6. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Salmah ibn al-Khattab, from Yahya ibn Ibrahim ibn abu al-Bilad from his father from abu Basir from who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘One who performs a Salah (prayer) when it is not its time; his Salah (prayer) is not valid.’”
6ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي الْبِلاَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ صَلَّى فِي غَيْرِ وَقْتٍ فَلاَ صَلاَةَ لَهُ.

كَانَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ أُدْمٌ قَطَعَ الْخُبْزَ بِالسِّكِّينِ .

3. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Hajjal from Hammad who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin would say to his sons, ‘My sons, take the House of your Lord in your consideration so it is not left without your presence therein; otherwise, you will risk coming of torment upon you.”’
3ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
كَانَ عَلِيٌّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ لِوُلْدِهِ يَا بَنِيَّ انْظُرُوا بَيْتَ رَبِّكُمْ فَلا يَخْلُوَنَّ مِنْكُمْ فَلا تُنَاظَرُوا.

24. Muhammad ibn Yahya in a marfu‘ manner has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You must not perform Salah (prayer) in cloths that are shaffa or suffa, that is, that which is painted.’” In another Hadith it is said, ‘Do not perform Salah (prayer) in black clothes; however, black slipper, cloak or turban is not harmful.’”
24ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) لاَ تُصَلِّ فِيمَا شَفَّ أَوْ سُفَّ يَعْنِي الثَّوْبَ الْمُصَيْقَلَ. وَرُوِيَ لاَ تُصَلِّ فِي ثَوْبٍ أَسْوَدَ فَأَمَّا الْخُفُّ أَوِ الْكِسَاءُ أَوِ الْعِمَامَةُ فَلاَ بَأْسَ.

9. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Fadalah ibn Ayyub from Rifa‘ah ibn Musa who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, about taking Wudu’ in Masjid and he disliked it because of defecation and urination.”
9ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ مُوسَى قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَكَرِهَهُ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ وَالْبَوْلِ.
