Imam Ali (AS) said, One who has certitude is successful.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Indeed successful is the God-wary person who [always] remains silent.

Imam Ali (AS) said, One who acts upon the truth becomes successful.

Imam Ali (AS) said, One who assists the truth shall be successful.

Imam Ali (AS) said, One whose intellect overpowers his vain desire is successful.

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.) has said, “Triumphant indeed are the believers,” (23:1) Do you know who they are?” I said, “You know best.” He said, Triumphant indeed are the believers, who are Muslims (submissive to Allah). The Muslims are noble people. The believers are rare. Congratulations to the believers.”

Hadith.1746 - The Messenger of Allah (swt) (sw) said: "Do not interrupt the request of a beggar, for if it were not for the fact that some of the needy lie, those who turn them away would never prosper."

Hadith.4743 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "Let your child play for seven years, then discipline him for seven years, and then keep him close to yourself for seven years. If he succeeds, then that is well; but if not, then he is among those in whom there is no good."

Hadith.1474 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) was asked about the verse of Allah (swt), the Exalted, "Successful indeed are those who purify themselves," (Surah Al-A'la 87:14). Imam (as) said: "This refers to the one who gives the Fitrah (charity for breaking the fast)." He was then asked about the verse, "and remember the Name of their Lord (azj), and pray." (Surah Al-A'la 87:15). Imam (as) said: "This means going out to the prayer ground and performing the prayer."

O People! [1] Steer clear through the waves of mischief by boats of deliverance, turn away from the path of dissension and put off the crowns of pride. Prosperous is one who rises with wings (i.e. when he has power) or else he remains peaceful and others enjoy ease. It (i.e. the aspiration for Caliphate) is like turbid water or like a morsel that would suffocate the person who swallows it. One who plucks fruits before ripening is like one who cultivated in another’s field.

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Allow your child to play for seven years and keep him with yourself for another seven years (to practice and behave as you do) if he succeeds; otherwise, he is of the ones in whom there is nothing good.’”

I said to Abu Ja’far, peace be upon him: Why was it named a pilgrimage? He said: Pilgrimage is success. It is said: Such-a-person performed the pilgrimage, meaning that he achieved success.

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ’You must not cutoff one asking for help; even if such people lie, the person turning them away (empty handed) does not prosper.”’

Hadith.1594 - Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "An obligatory prayer is better than twenty Hajj pilgrimages, and one Hajj pilgrimage is better than a house filled with gold that is given in charity for good deeds until it is exhausted." He then added: "And no one prospers who wastes twenty houses of gold over twenty-five dirhams." He was asked: "What is the meaning of twenty-five dirhams?" Imam (as) replied: "Whoever withholds Zakat, their prayer is suspended until they pay their Zakat."

“Verily Allah created with His [own] hand a paradise that no eye has seen, and no creature is familiar with. The Blessed and Exalted Lord opens it up every morning and says, ‘Increase in [your sweet smelling] fragrance, increase in [your fresh] breeze!’ So it says, ‘Successful indeed are the believers.’ That is the [interpretation of the] verse wherein Allah, the Exalted, says: No soul can imagine what delights are hidden in store for them as a reward for what they used to do (Q32:17).”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that performing an obligatory Salah (prayer) is more excellent than twenty Hajj and one Hajj is more excellent than giving as charity one houseful of gold.’ The narrator has said that the Imam then said, ‘There is no salvation for one who loses twenty housefuls of gold for only (because of not paying) twenty- five dirham.’ I (the narrator) then asked, ‘What is the meaning of twenty- five dirham?’ The Imam replied, ‘One who fails to pay zakat his Salah (prayer) is withheld until he pays zakat which is due on his wealth.’”

The Honorable the Exalted God has granted the believers three characteristics: honor in this world; prosperity in the Hereafter and grandeur in the hearts of the oppressors.” Then he (MGB) went on and recited the following verse of the Holy Quran, ‘…But honour belongs to Allah and His Messenger, and to the Believers; but the Hypocrites know not.’ And he (MGB) also recited the following verses, ‘The believers must (eventually) win through,- Those who humble themselves in their prayers; Who avoid vain talk; Who are active in deeds of charity; Who abstain from sex, Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- These will be the heirs, Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). ’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘By the One in whose Hand is my soul, if a man overwhelms his wife (engages in sexual intercourse) when there is a child in the house who is awake, sees and hears them speaking and their breathing, the child will not escape, a boy or girl, their involvement in fornication.’ Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.), whenever, he intended to overwhelm his wife, would close the door, pull down the curtains and send the servants out.’”

Hadith.864 - Hafs ibn al-Bakhtari narrate from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) : "When the Messenger of Allah (sw) was taken on the night journey (Isra'), the time for prayer arrived, and Archangel Jibril (as) called the adhan (call to prayer). When He said 'Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar' (Allah (swt) is the Greatest, Allah (swt) is the Greatest), the angels said 'Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar.' When He said 'Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah (swt)' (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah (swt)), the angels said: 'He has renounced rivals (associating others with Allah (swt)).' When He said 'Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah' (I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah (sw)), the angels said: 'A Prophet has been sent.' When He said 'Hayya 'ala as-Salah' (Come to prayer), the angels said: 'He calls to the worship of his Lord (azj).' When He said 'Hayya 'ala al-Falah' (Come to success), the angels said: 'Success is for the one who follows him.'".

Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Allāh will surely forgive those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) every week. They will not leave this life with any sorrows about it and they will dwell with Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) in Paradise. O Dāwūd! Who does not like to be the neighbour of Ḥusain (a.s.) in Paradise?!!! I replied, “(Only) those who have not achieved salvation.”
