13. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al- Husayn ibn ‘Atiyyah from Zayd ibn al-Sa’igh who has said the following
“Once I said to Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘Please, pray to Allah for us.’ The Imam said, ‘O Lord, give them truthfulness in their words (Hadith), safe keeping of their trust and punctuality for prayer, O Lord, they are the most deserving, among Your creatures, of Your favors, O Lord, grant them favors.’”
13 - عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الصَّائِغِ، قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عليه‌السلام : ادْعُ اللهَ لَنَا فَقَالَ : " اللهُمَّ ارْزُقْهُمْ صِدْقَ الْحَدِيثِ وَأَدَاءَ الْأَمَانَةِ وَالْمُحَافَظَةَ عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ؛ اللهُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ أَحَقُّ خَلْقِكَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَهُ بِهِمُ ، اللهُمَّ وَ افْعَلْهُ بِهِمْ ".

32-9 (The author of the book narrated) my father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’d ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Yaqoob ibn Yazid, on the authority of Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Ashyam, on the authority of Soleiman al-Ja’fari that Abil Hassan Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) told him, ‘Do you know why Ishmael was called strictly true?’ He said, ‘
No.’ Imam Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) said, ‘It was because he made an appointment with someone and waited for him to come for one year.’
9 - حَدَّثَنا أَبي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا سَعْد بْنِعَبْدِ اللَّه، عَنْ يَعْقُوبِ بْنِ يَزِيد، عَنْ عَلىِّ بْن أَشيمِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمان الجَعْفَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبي الحَسَن الرِّضا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ قالَ
أَتَدْري لَمْ سُمِّيَ إِسْمَاعِيل صادِقَ الوَعْدِ؟ قالَ: قُلْتُ: لا أَدْرِي، فَقالَ: وَعَدَ رَجُلاً فَجَلَسَ لَهُ حَولاً يَنتَظِرُهُ.

hadith 297
1. My father, may Allah grant him mercy, said: We were told by Sa’d bin Abdullah, from Ya’qoub bin Yazid, from Hammad, from Hurayz, from Zurara, that he said
Abu Ja’far, peace be upon him, said: Do not forget the two obligating things - or he said: «(Imposed) Upon you are the two obligating things» - at the end of every prayer. I said: And what are the two obligating things? He said: That you ask Allah for Paradise and seek refuge in Him from the Fire.
أبي - رحمه الله - قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله، عن يعقوب بن يزيد، عن حماد، عن حريز، عن زرارة، قال
قال أبو جعفر عليه السلام: لا تنسوا الموجبتين - أو قال: عليكم بالموجبتين - في دبر كل صلاة. قلت: وما الموجبتان؟ قال: تسأل الله الجنة وتتعوذ به من النار.

22. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father and Ali ibn Muhammad al-Qasani fro al-Qasim ibn Muhammad from Sulayman ibn Dawud form Yahya ibn Adam from Sharik from Jabir ibn Yazid from abu Ja’far (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu Ja’far (a.s.) has said, ‘The courage to exercise patience in times of need and poverty with chastity and self-sufficiency is more than the courage needed to give charity.’”

مُرُوَّةُ الصَّبْرِ فِي حَالِ الْحَاجَةِ وَالْفَاقَةِ وَالتَّعَفُّفِ وَالْغِنَى أَكْثَرُ مِنْ مُرُوَّةِ الإعْطَاءِ.

The Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, said: Worship is (consisting of) seventy parts, and the best part of it is to seeking that which is allowable.

Hadith.2225 - It is narrated from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) that
he said: "Do you see this mountain, Thafil? When Yazid ibn Muawiyah returned from his Hajj and set out toward Sham, he composed these verses: When we leave Thafil to our right, We shall never return for years to come, Neither for Hajj nor Umrah while we live. Allah (swt), Mighty and Majestic, caused him to die before his appointed time."
2225 - وَ رُوِيَ عَنِ اَلصَّادِقِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
أَنَّهُ قَالَ : «تَرَوْنَ هَذَا اَلْجَبَلَ ثَافِلاً إِنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ مُعَاوِيَةَ لَمَّا رَجَعَ مِنْ حَجِّهِ مُرْتَحِلاً إِلَى اَلشَّامِ أَنْشَأَ يَقُولُ: إِذَا تَرَكْنَا ثَافِلاً يَمِيناً فَلَنْ نَعُودَ بَعْدَهُ سِنِينَا لِلْحَجِّ وَ اَلْعُمْرَةِ مَا بَقِينَا فَأَمَاتَهُ اَللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ قَبْلَ أَجَلِهِ ».

11. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Yazid ibn Ishaq Sha‘ir from Harun ibn Hamzah who has said the following: “About the case of a woman who is divorced and is old but experiences Hayd (menses) once then her Hayd stops, abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘
She must count her waiting period for one Hayd and two months in future because she has reached menopause.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ شَعِرٍ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي امْرَأَةٍ طُلِّقَتْ وَ قَدْ طَعَنَتْ فِي السِّنِّ فَحَاضَتْ حَيْضَةً وَاحِدَةً ثُمَّ ارْتَفَعَ حَيْضُهَا فَقَالَ
تَعْتَدُّ بِالْحَيْضَةِ وَ شَهْرَيْنِ مُسْتَقْبِلَيْنِ فَإِنَّهَا قَدْ يَئِسَتْ مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ .

Muhammad b. Musa b. al-Mutawakkil (ra) narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Ja`far al-Asadi narrated to us from Sahl b. Ziyad al-Adami from Ya`qub b. Yazid from Muhammad b. Hamza from him who heard Aba `Abdillah al-Sadiq (as) say
He who meets a pilgrim and makes room for him shall be like one who reached the [Black] Stone.

6. It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Fadl al-Nawfaliy who has said that narrated to me my father from his father from his uncle Ishaq ibn ‘Abd Allah from his father ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Harith who has said the following
“Ali ibn al-Husayn, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, had a bottle of musk in the Masjid. When he came for Salat (prayer) he would take it and rub on himself.’”
عَنْهُ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ النَّوْفَلِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ
كَانَتْ لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) قَارُورَةُ مِسْكٍ فِي مَسْجِدِهِ فَإِذَا دَخَلَ لِلصَّلَاةِ أَخَذَ مِنْهُ فَتَمَسَّحَ بِهِ .

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from Yazid ibn Ishaq from Harun ibn Hamzah al-Ghanawiy who has said the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of Salah (prayer) in the ship. He (the Imam) said, ‘If it is heavily loaded and when you stand up it does not shake, perform Salah (prayer) in a standing position, but if it is light that can turn upside down, then perform Salah (prayer) in a sitting position.’”
4ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ هَارُونَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الْغَنَوِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي السَّفِينَةِ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَتْ مُحَمَّلَةً ثَقِيلَةً إِذَا قُمْتَ فِيهَا لَمْ تَحَرَّكْ فَصَلِّ قَائِماً وَإِنْ كَانَتْ خَفِيفَةً تَكَفَّأُ فَصَلِّ قَاعِداً.

3. Muḥammad ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Ja’far Al-Ḥimyari narrated to me from his father, from Ya’qūb ibn Yazīd Al-Anbāri, from Muḥammad ibn Abī ‘Umayr, from Zayd Al-Shaḥḥām, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: Those who go to the Ziyārah of the grave of Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) on the Day of ‘Āshūrā while knowing his rights are like those who go to the Ziyārah of Allāh on His Throne.
3 وَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْيَرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَنْبَارِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ زَيْدٍ الشَّحَّامِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
مَنْ زَارَ قَبْرَ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ عَارِفاً بِحَقِّهِ كَانَ كَمَنْ زَارَ اللَّهَ فِي عَرْشِهِ

3. `Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad `Imran al-Daqqaq (RA) said: Muhammad ibn Ja`far al-Asadi said: Musa ibn `Imran, on the authority of al-Husayn ibn Yazid, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Abu `Umayr, on the authority of Hisham ibn al-Hakam that Abu `Abd Allah al-Sadiq (AS) said

العلم هو من كماله .

9ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَا كَادَ جَبْرَئِيلُ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَأْتِينِي إِلا قَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ اتَّقِ شَحْنَاءَ الرِّجَالِ وَعَدَاوَتَهُمْ.

4. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from al-‘Abbass ibn Hilal who has said the following.
“I asked Imam al-Rida (a.s.), about the words of Allah, ‘Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth’” (24:35). The Imam replied, “Allah is the Guide for all that is in the heavens and the Guide for all that is on the earth.” According to another Hadith narrated by al-Barqi,(the Imam said), “Allah has guided everyone in the heavens and every one on the earth.”
4ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ هِلالٍ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَنْ قَوْلِ الله الله نُورُ السَّماواتِ وَالارْضِ فَقَالَ هَادٍ لاهْلِ السَّمَاءِ وَهَادٍ لاهْلِ الارْضِ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الْبَرْقِيِّ هُدَى مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُدَى مَنْ فِي الارْضِ.

9. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad Ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Ya’qub ibn Yazid from al-Qandiy from al-Mufaddal ibn ‘Umar who has said the following
“Once, fever was mentioned before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.). He (the Imam) said, ‘We are the people of the family who do not use any medicine for it except pouring cold water on us and eating apples.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْقَنْدِيِّ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
ذُكِرَ لَهُ الْحُمَّى فَقَالَ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّا أَهْلُ بَيْتٍ لَا نَتَدَاوَى إِلَّا بِإِفَاضَةِ الْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ يُصَبُّ عَلَيْنَا وَ أَكْلِ التُّفَّاحِ.

9. Al-Husayn from Muhammad has narrated from Mu’alla’ ibn Muhammad from af-Hassan ibn Afi from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the
foflowing: “Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘The delight of my eyes is placed in Salat (prayer), my enjoyment of the world in women and my comfort and relief with al-Hassan and al-Husayn (a.s.).”’
9- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) جُعِلَ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي فِي الصَّلاةِ وَلَذَّتِي فِي الدُّنْيَا النِّسَاءُ وَرَيْحَانَتَيَّ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ.

hadith 416
5. [5/302] al-Tawhid: My father from Sa’d from Ibrahim b. Hashim from Ya’qub b. Yazid from Ibn Fadhal from Ibn Bukayr from Zurara from Abi Abdillah عليه السلام. He (Zurara) said
I heard him (the Imam) saying about His words Mighty and Majestic: “and to Him have submitted whomsoever is in the heavens and the earth whether willingly or unwillingly” (3:83) - this is their acknowledgment of Oneness to Allah Mighty and Majestic.
[302/5] التوحيد: أبي، عن سعد، عن إبراهيم بن هاشم، ويعقوب بن يزيد، عن ابن فضال، عن ابن بكير، عن زرارة، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال
سمعته وهو يقول في قوله عزوجل: وَلَهُ أَسْلَمَ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا قال: هو توحيدهم لله عزوجل

5. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from Jahm ibn al-Hakam al-Mada’ini from Isma’il ibn abu Ziyad al-Sakuni from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘You must forgive. Forgiving increases one’s respect, therefore, forgive so Allah may respect you.’”
5ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ جَهْمِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ الْمَدَائِنِيِّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْعَفْوِ فَإِنَّ الْعَفْوَ لا يَزِيدُ الْعَبْدَ إِلا عِزّاً فَتَعَافَوْا يُعِزَّكُمُ الله.

14. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from ‘Abd Allah ibn Sinan from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has narrated the following
“Ali ibn al-Husayn, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, became ill three times, each time he made a will and when he recovered from his illness he approved his will.’”
14- الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَرِضَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِما السَّلام) ثَلاثَ مَرَضَاتٍ فِي كُلِّ مَرْضَةٍ يُوصِي بِوَصِيَّةٍ فَإِذَا أَفَاقَ أَمْضَى وَصِيَّتَهُ.

5. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from Hammad ibn ‘Uthaman from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following
“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), fasting is difficult for me. He (the Imam) said, ‘One dirham given as charity is better than fasting for one day. He (the Imam) then said, ‘I do not like if you neglect it.’”
5ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) إِنَّ الصَّوْمَ يَشُدُّ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ لِي لَدِرْهَمٌ تَصَدَّقُ بِهِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَمَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ تَدَعَهُ.
