God's Prophet (a.s) said: “There are three things by which God will only increase our good things: by humbleness He will increase our position; by humiliating ourselves He gives us honor; and by chastity He gives us wealth.”

Ameer al-Momineen (a.s) said: “The following deeds are all causes of poverty: not dusting off the spider webs from the walls of the house; peeing in the bath; eating food before purification of the body after having sex; associating with people who always waste their time with vain talk; combing hair while standing up; not taking the trash out of the house; false swearing; fornication; greed; sleeping between the evening and the night prayer; sleeping before sunset; becoming a liar; listening to music too much; chiding away a poor man who remembers God at night; improper spending; and cutting off relations from relatives.” Imam Ali (a.s) then said: “Do you want me to tell you what will increase your share of daily bread?” The people said: “O' Commander of the Faithful! Yes.” He said: “The following deeds will increase your share of daily bread: saying your noon and afternoon, or evening and night prayers one right after the other; saying some supplications after the night and morning prayer; visiting the relatives; sweeping the entrance of the house; sympathizing with your believing brothers; getting up early in the morning and going out to work to earn the daily bread; asking God for forgiveness; being trustworthy; saying what is right; going to pray when the call to prayer is announced; not talking in the toilet; not being greedy; being grateful to the Owner of the blessings; avoiding false swearing; making ablution before eating; eating what might fall off of the table cloth. In addition, God the Almighty will fend off seventy types of calamities from whoever praises God thirty times each day- the simplest of which being poverty.”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Umar ibn Yazid has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Muhammad ibn Yahya Al-Attar, from Yaqub ibn Yazid, from Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr and Safwan ibn Yahya, from Umar ibn Yazid. I have also narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn Abdul Hamid, from Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Yazid, from Al-Husayn ibn Umar ibn Yazid, from his father Umar ibn Yazid. Additionally, I have narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) have mercy on him - from Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn Abdul Jabbar, from Muhammad ibn Ismail, from Muhammad ibn Abbas, from Umar ibn Yazid.

I heard the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (MGB) say, ‘The following deeds are all causes of poverty: not dusting off the spider webs from the walls of the house; peeing in the bath; eating food before purification of the body after having sex; associating with people who always waste their time with vain talk; combing hair while standing up; not taking the trash out of the house; false swearing; fornication; greed; sleeping between the evening and the night prayer; sleeping before sunset; becoming a liar; listening to music too much; chiding away a poor man who remembers God at night; improper spending; and cutting off relations from relatives.’Imam Ali (MGB) then said, ‘Do you want me to tell you what will increase your share of daily bread?’The people said, ‘O Commander of the Faithful! Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘O Believer! This knowledge and good manners are the value of your soul so strive to learn them, for however much your knowledge and good manners increase, so will your value and worth accordingly.

31-323 According to the same documentation, God’s Prophet (S) said, “Recite the Qur’an in a beautiful tone as this will add to the goodness of the Qur’an for the one who hears it.” Then the Prophet (S) recited the following verse, ‘…He adds to Creation as He pleases: for God has power over all things.’”

“Once I visited abu al-Hassan (a.s.). He had applied black dye to his hairs. I said to him (the Imam), ‘I see that you have applied black dye to your hairs.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘In applying dye there is reward. Applying dye and to be prepared is of matters by which Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, increases the chastity of women. Women ignore chastity because of their husband’s ignoring preparedness.’ I then said, ‘It is narrated to us that applying henna increases oldness.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘What else can you increase in oldness? Oldness increases every day.’”

Imam Ali (AS) said, ‘Seeking forgiveness increases sustenance.

Hadith.276 - Al-Hasan ibn al-Jahm entered upon Abu Al-Hasan Imam Musa ibn Jafar Al-Kadhim (as) who had dyed his hair with black dye. Imam (as) said: "Indeed, there is a reward in dyeing. Dyeing and grooming are among those things which increase the chastity of women, and some women have abandoned chastity because their husbands have neglected grooming themselves." (ibn Al-Jahm) replied to Him: "We have heard that henna increases gray hair?” Imam (as) said: “What increases gray hair? Gray hair increases every day."

Imam Ali (AS) said, 'Acting with integrity increases one's sustenance.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'Verily kindness leads to an increase in sustenance.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'Being good-natured increases in one's sustenance.

Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, ‘Being good-natured brings about an increase in sustenance.

Imam Sadiq (a.s) Sadiq: “Being good-tempered will increase your share of daily bread.”

Imam Ali (AS) said, Good meetings strengthen the bond of brotherhood.

Imam Ali (AS) said, Good companionship increases the affection of the hearts.

And whatever is narrated from Dawud ibn Abi Yazid, I have narrated it from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Saʿd ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿIsa, from Al-Abbas ibn Maʿruf, from Abu Muhammad Al-Hajjal, from Dawud ibn Abi Yazid.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Onion removes illness, strengthens nerves, increases the ability to walk, increases one’s seed and removes fever.’”

The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Brushing one's teeth increases one's articulacy.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Jabir ibn Yazid Al-Ju'fi has been transmitted by me from Muhammad ibn Ali Majilawayh - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from his uncle Muhammad ibn Abi Al-Qasim, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid Al-Barqi, from his father, from Amr ibn Shimr, from Jabir ibn Yazid Al-Ju'fi.
