“Once I asked Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) ‘How often is this handshake?’ The Imam said, ‘It is just after going around a palm tree.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Women are tiredness (weakness in communication) and a matter of private nature thus, you must cover the privacy of their nature with homes and their tiredness with quietness.’”

“Once we along with ibn abu Ya‘fur visited abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), and we were a group. Food was prepared and we had lunch. He (the Imam) also took lunch with us. I was the youngest in the group and I made it shorter in my eating. He (the Imam) then said, ’Eat. Did you not know that one’s love for his brother (in belief) comes to light when he eats from his food?”’

Hisham ibn Salim said: “One day when Ameer al-Momineen (a.s) went out along with his companions. He was riding his horse, but noticed that his companions were walking. He asked them if they had something to do with him. They replied in the negative and said that they just wanted to be with him. He then asked them to ride their horses, since accompanying one who is riding on foot will corrupt the one who is riding and humiliate those who are walking.” Hisham ibn Salim said that another time God's Prophet (a.s) left with them and they did the same thing. The Prophet (a.s) said to them: “Return since the sound of shoes stamping on the ground from behind will corrupt one’s heart if he is foolish.”
