“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘Men are created from earth, their ambition is in earth, and women are created from men and their ambition is to find men; so keep your women, O community of men.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘If one offers condolences to a depressed person, one will have a reward equal to his (depressed person’s) reward without any reduction in the reward for the latter, the sorrowful party.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever offers condolences to a person who is afflicted, will receive a reward equal to that for the affected party without any reduction in the reward for the later mentioned.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘A child (born after) six, seven or nine months lives but one who is born after eight months cannot live.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin has said, ‘If one uses the services of the slave of a people and causes damage to him, he is responsible. If one uses the works of a small free person and causes damage to that person, he is responsible.”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that ’Amir al-Mu’minin would say, ‘Deposit or down payment is not permissible unless it is the cash portion of the price of the goods purchased.’”

Prophet (SA) said: Verily, Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has create a rooster whose feet are on the borderline of the lowly seventh earth, while its head is in the Empyrean, and its neck is twisted below the Empyrean. It is an angel among the angels of Allah, the Mighty and High. Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, has placed its feet at the lowest level of the seventh earth. It crosses the earths, to the end of the earths, until it comes out at the horizon of heaven. Then it passes the horizon until its first visible part reaches the Empyrean, while it says: “Glory be to You, my Lord.” Verily, this rooster has two wings. If it would spread them out, they would cross both the East and the West. When it is the end of the night, it spreads its two wings, shakes them, and it calls out with the glorification that ”Glory be to Allah, the Sovereign, the Most Holy. Glory be to the Great, the Supreme Being [al-mut`al], the Most Holy. There is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsistent.” When it says so then all the roosters of the earth glorify, spread their wings, and begin to crow. And when that rooster becomes still then the rooster on the earth become still. At the time of dawn, it spreads its two wings, which cross the East and the West, and shakes them, and calls out with the glorification: “Glory be to Allah, the Great. Glory be to Allah, the Honorable, the Subduer. Glory be to Allah, the Possessor of the Glorious Empyrean. Glory be to Allah, the Lord of the Lofty Empyrean.” When it does that then all the roosters of the earth do their glorification. Therefore, it wakes the rooster of the earth, who awake and answer its glorification of Allah, the Mighty and High. The rooster ahs the purest white feathers I have ever seen. Below its white feathers it has the darkest green fuzz that I have ever seen. I am still longing to look at the feathers of that rooster.

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: For Allah there is an angel named Sakha'il who brings a script from the Lord of the Worlds at every time of prayer to those who pray. When the believers awake, perform ablution, and pray Fajr, he gives them a script from Allah. It is written therein: "I am Allah the Everlasting. My male and female servants: you are in My hedge that I have made for you, and in My protection. You are under My care. By My glory, I will not let you down. Your sins up until Dhuhr are forgiven." When Dhuhr time comes, and they stand up, perform ablution, and pray, he brings a second script from Allah to them. It is written therein: "I am Allah the Powerful. My male and female servants: your sins have been changed into good deeds and your offenses have been forgiven. I have sweetened you with My being pleased with you in the abode of majesty." When `Asr time comes, and they stand up, perform ablution, and pray, he brings a third script from Allah to them. It is written therein: "I am Allah the Majestic. My remembrance is majestic, and My power is great. My male and female servants: I have forbidden your bodies from the Fire, I have settled you into goodly residences, and I have repelled the evil of the evildoers from you by My mercy." When Maghrib time comes, and they stand up, perform ablution, and pray, he brings a fourth script from Allah to them. It is written therein: "I am Allah the Mighty, the Grand, the Highly. My male and female servants: My angels are pleased after having ascended from you. It is a right upon Me to please you and to give you what you wish on the Day of Resurrection." When `Isha' time comes, and they stand up, perform ablution, and pray, he brings a fifth script from Allah to them. It is written therein: "Surely, I, I am Allah, there is no god besides Me, nor is there a lord like Me. My male and female servants: You have purified yourselves in your homes, you have walked to My homes, you have shivered in My remembrance, you have recognized My right, and you have fulfilled My obligations. Bear witness, O Sakha'il and the rest of My angels, that I am pleased with them." He said: So, Sakha'il calls three times every night after `Isha': "O angels of Allah! Allah has forgiven the monotheists who pray." So, there does not remain an angel in the seven heavens except that it seeks repentance on behalf of those who pray and prays that they maintain that effort. Whichever male or female servant is granted [an opportunity to pray] a night prayer, standing purified before Allah, washing thoroughly in ablution, praying for Allah with an honest intention, a peaceable heart, a body in awe, and a tearful eye, Allah will put nine rows of angels behind him - the number in each row is not known to anyone except Allah - one end of the row will be in the East, and the other in the West. He said: Once he finishes, he will be given ranks by their number. Mansur said: Whenever Rabi` b. Badr would narrate this hadith, he would say: "Where are you, O heedless one, in relation to this honour? Where are you in relation to standing in prayer tonight; and in relation to obtaining these rewards and this honour?"

I saw in one of the books of Allah: When Dhul Qarnayn completed working on the wall, he went on his way. He journeyed with his soldiers when they came across an elder praying. So, he and his soldiers halted at him until he completed his prayer. So, Dhul Qarnayn said to him: Why did you not stop [praying] when my soldiers came into your presence? He said: I was speaking to One who has more soldiers than you, who has more glory in His power, and who has more intensity in His strength. Had I turned my face to you, I would not receive My need from Him. So, Dhul Qarnayn said to him: Can you come out with me so that I may seek your assistance and your help in some of my matters? So, he said: Yes. I have been given four characteristics: blessings that do not falter, health that does not deteriorate in illness, youthfulness that does not age, and a life that does not die. So, Dhul Qarnayn said to him: Which creature is able to have these qualities! So, the elder said: Surely, I am with He who is capable of [creating] them; and He rules over them and you. Then, he passed by a sage who said to Dhul Qarnayn: Inform me of two things that have remained established since Allah created them, and two things that move continually, and two things that change [continually], and two things that oppose one another. So, Dhul Qarnayn said to him: As for the two established things, they are the heavens and the Earth. As for the two moving things, they are the Sun and the Moon. As for the two changing things, they are the night and the day. As for the two opposing things, they are death and life. So, he said: Proceed, for you are a sage. So, Dhul Qarnayn went out and journeyed through the lands until he passed by an elder who was turning over the skulls of the dead. So, he and his soldiers halted at him. So, he said: Inform me, elder, for what reason are you turning over these skulls? He said: So that I may distinguish between the noble and the peasant, and the rich and the poor. However, I could not distinguish them, and I have been turning them over for twenty years. So, Dhul Qarnayn went on his way and left him, saying: No one has grieved over this other than me. So, he continued on his journey until he came across a scholarly nation from the people of Musa, who guide to the truth and judge by it. When he saw them, he said to them: O people! Inform me of what you know, for I have gone around the world – its East, its West, its land, its seas, its plains, its mountains, its illuminated areas and its dark areas – and I have not met anyone like you. So, inform me: why do you put the graves of your dead in front of the entrances of your houses? They said: We do that so that we may not forget death and so that its remembrance does not leave our hearts. He said: Then why do your houses not have doors? They said: There is neither thievery nor suspicion among us – there are only trustworthy people among us. He said: Why do you not have governors? They said: We do not persecute one another. He said: Why do you not have judges? They said: We do not prosecute. He said: Why do you not have kings? They said: We do not exalt [one another]. He said: Why do you not give preference to one over the other? They said: Because we are accommodating and compassionate. He said: Why do you not quarrel and differ with one another? They said: Because our hearts have affinity for one another, and we are righteous with one another. He said: Why do you not blame one another and kill one another? They said: Because we have overcome our natures with determination, and we have tamed ourselves with forbearance. He said: Why are you united in agreement, and why is your path straight? They said: Because we do not bely one another, we do not fool one another, and we do not slander one another. He said: So, inform me – why do you not have any needy or poor person among you? They said: Because we redistribute [our resources] evenly. He said: Why do you not have rudeness and roughness among you? They said: Due to meekness and humility. The said: Why did Allah give you the tallest buildings out of all the people? They said: Because we give people their rights and we judge justly. He said: Why do you not suffer drought? They said: Because we never become heedless of repentance. He said: Why do you not become sorrowful? They said: Because we have accustomed ourselves to calamity, so we have consoled ourselves. He said: Why do pests not afflict you? They said: Because we do not rely on other than Allah, and we do not request sustenance from the stars. He said: So, tell me, O people – did you see your forefathers do this? They said: We saw our forefathers showing mercy to their needy, accommodating their poor, forgiving those who wronged them, doing good to those who harmed them, seeking forgiveness for their wrongdoings, connecting with blood-relatives, fulfilling their promises, and trusting and not belying. So, with that, Allah rectified their affairs. So, Dhul Qarnayn remained with them until he passed away; and he was five hundred years old.

Ḥusain (a.s.) is from me and I am from Ḥusain (a.s.). Allāh loves those who love Ḥusain (a.s.). Ḥusain (a.s.) is a chief from among the chiefs.”
