محمد بن يونس بن عبد الرحمان: عده الشيخ تارة من أصحاب الرضا عليه السلام (47). وأخرى، من أصحاب الجواد عليه السلام (14) قائلا: لحق الرضا عليه السلام. أقول: تقدم في ترجمة محمد بن أبي عمير، أنه لما ضرب فأبلغ الضرب الألم إليه حتى كاد أن يسمي عامة الشيعة بالعراق، فسمع نداء محمد بن يونس بن عبد الرحمان يقول: يا محمد بن أبي عمير أذكر موقفك بين يدي الله، فتقوى محمد بن أبي عمير بقوله، فصبر (القصة). وفي هذا مدح بليغ لمحمد بن يونس بن عبد الرحمان، ودلالة واضحة على عظمة شأنه، ثم إن محمد بن يونس هذا، من مشايخ الفضل بن شاذان. روى الكشي عن الفضل، عنه، في ترجمة يحيى بن أبي القاسم، وزرعة بن محمد، ويونس بن عبد الرحمان، والمذكور في هذه الموارد، وإن كان محمد بن يونس من غير تقييد بابن عبد الرحمان، إلا أن المراد به ذلك من جهة الطبقة، ومن جهة ما روي في محمد بن أبي عمير.
