2. Ibn Mahbub has narrated from Malik ibn ‘Atiyah from Sa’id al-A’raj from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“The strongest ring of belief to hold onto is to love for the sake of Allah and hate for the sake of Allah, to give for the sake of Allah and deny for the sake of Allah.”
2ـ ابْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الأعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مِنْ أَوْثَقِ عُرَى الإيمَانِ أَنْ تُحِبَّ فِي الله وَتُبْغِضَ فِي الله وَتُعْطِيَ فِي الله وَتَمْنَعَ فِي الله.

4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah from ‘ Adhafir who has said the following
“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, when he was asked about the income from eulogies, ‘She can make it lawful by tapping one of her hands against the other.’”
4- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ عُذَافِرٍ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) وَقَدْ سُئِلَ عَنْ كَسْبِ النَّائِحَةِ قَالَ تَسْتَحِلُّهُ بِضَرْبِ إِحْدَى يَدَيْهَا عَلَى الأخْرَى.

16. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu as from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has narrated the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a man who gives a gift to his mother and she dies. She had taken the gift away from him in her possession. He (the Imam) said, ‘He and the other heirs are the same in dealing with that item.’”
16- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَعْطَى أُمَّهُ عَطِيَّةً فَمَاتَتْ وَكَانَتْ قَدْ قَبَضَتِ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهَا وَبَانَتْ بِهِ قَالَ هُوَ وَالْوَرَثَةُ فِيهَا سَوَاءٌ.

hadith 37
1. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad and Ahmad ibn Muhammad all from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Malik ibn ‘Atiyyah from abu Hamzah al-Thumaliy who has said the following
“Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.), has said, ’Of the people among you with whom Allah is most happy, is the one who improves the quality of life of his family the most.”
1ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَأَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ جَمِيعاً عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيْهِما السَّلاَم) قَالَ
أَرْضَاكُمْ عِنْدَ الله أَسْبَغُكُمْ عَلَى عِيَالِهِ.

10. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah from ’Isma‘il ibn Jabir who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If one uses his comb seventy times and counts it one by one, Satan will not come close to him for forty days.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( صلوات الله عليه ) قَالَ
مَنْ سَرَّحَ لِحْيَتَهُ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً وَ عَدَّهَا مَرَّةً مَرَّةً لَمْ يَقْرَبْهُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْماً .

5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyyah from ‘Adhafir al-Sayrafiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), asked, ‘Do you see those who are born with deformities?’ I replied, ‘Yes, I see them.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is because their fathers go to bed with their wives during their experiencing Hayd (menses).”’

قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) تَرَى هَؤُلاءِ الْمُشَوَّهِينَ خَلْقُهُمْ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ آبَاؤُهُمْ يَأْتُونَ نِسَاءَهُمْ فِي الطَّمْثِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Malik ibn ‘Atiyyah from abu Hamza from Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) who has said the following
“I, by Allah, love to bail out two things in my followers with parts of my arms: their rush for quick response and lack of silence and restraint.”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيهِما السَّلام) قَالَ
وَدِدْتُ وَالله أَنِّي افْتَدَيْتُ خَصْلَتَيْنِ فِي الشِّيعَةِ لَنَا بِبَعْضِ لَحْمِ سَاعِدِي النَّزَقَ وَقِلَّةَ الْكِتْمَانِ.

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Al-Hassan ibn ‘Atiyah from ‘Umar ibn Yazid who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do you think the sustenance of a man who stays in his home and closes his door, keeps falling on him from the sky?”’
2- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلا دَخَلَ بَيْتَهُ وَأَغْلَقَ بَابَهُ أَكَانَ يَسْقُطُ عَلَيْهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ.

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said that a woman must not optionally fast without permission from her husband.”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
قَالَ النَّبِيُّ (صلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) لَيْسَ لِلْمَرْأَةِ أَنْ تَصُومَ تَطَوُّعاً إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا.

عن أبي- رضي اللّه عنه- عن سعد بن عبد اللّه، عن أحمد بن محمّد بن عيسى، عن الحسن بن محبوب، عن مالك بن عطيّة الأحمسيّ، عن معروف بن خرّبوذ المكّيّ‌.
و ما كان فيه عن معروف بن خرّبوذ فقد رويته

hadith 528
5. Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad ibn Ya’qūb narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ḥasan ibn Faďďāl, from ‘Abbās ibn ‘Āmir, from Abī Nāb Ḥasan ibn ‘Aťiyyāh, who said
I asked Abā ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) about performing Ghusl when going to (the Ziyārah of) the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.). Imam (a.s.) replied, “Performing Ghusl is not obligatory.”
5 حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ أَبِي نَابٍ قَالَ

36. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Malik ibn ‘Atiyyah from abu Hamza from Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) who has said the following
“It is of the moral behavior of believers to spend proportionately to their standard of living, raise such standards to what is possible, fairness to people and initiation in offering the greeting of peace.”
36ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ (عَلَيهِما السَّلام) قَالَ
مِنْ أَخْلاقِ الْمُؤْمِنِ الإنْفَاقُ عَلَى قَدْرِ الإقْتَارِ وَالتَّوَسُّعُ عَلَى قَدْرِ التَّوَسُّعِ وَإِنْصَافُ النَّاسِ وَابْتِدَاؤُهُ إِيَّاهُمْ بِالسَّلامِ عَلَيْهِمْ.

Hadith.3786 - Ibn Abi Umayr narrated from Al-Hasan ibn Atiyyah, who said
I asked Abu Abdillah (as): "We buy food from ships, and then we measure it, sometimes finding an excess." Imam (as) said: "And perhaps it might sometimes be less for you?" I said: "Yes." Imam (as) said: "If it is less, do they compensate you?" I said: "No." Imam (as) said: "Then there is no harm."
3786 - وَ رَوَى اِبْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ اَلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قُلْتُ إِنَّا نَشْتَرِي اَلطَّعَامَ مِنَ اَلسُّفُنِ ثُمَّ نَكِيلُهُ فَيَزِيدُ قَالَ "وَ رُبَّمَا نَقَصَ عَلَيْكُمْ" قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَ "فَإِذَا نَقَصَ يَرُدُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ" قُلْتُ لاَ قَالَ "لاَ بَأْسَ".

1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from certain persons of his people from Muhammad ibn Sinan from Muhammad ibn ‘Atiyyah who has said the following
“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, has chosen farming and plantation for His prophets so that they will not dislike the drops falling from the sky.”’
1- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ اخْتَارَ لأنْبِيَائِهِ الْحَرْثَ وَالزَّرْعَ كَيْلا يَكْرَهُوا شَيْئاً مِنْ قَطْرِ السَّمَاءِ.

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Almost every time Jibril (Gabriel) on coming to me would say, “O Muhammad, guard (your) anger against men and animosity for them.’”
5ـ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وآلِه) مَا كَادَ جَبْرَئِيلُ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَأْتِينِي إِلا قَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ اتَّقِ شَحْنَاءَ الرِّجَالِ وَعَدَاوَتَهُمْ.

حدثنا محمد بن عمر الحافظ الجعابي، قال: حدثني عبد الله بن محمد بن سعيد بن زياد أبو محمد، قال: حدثنا أبي، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن قيس، عن عطية، عن أبي سعيد قال
قال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله: علي إمام كل [مؤ] من بعدي.

hadith 757
Hadith.5716 - Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Malik ibn Atiyyah from Sulayman ibn Khalid from Abu Abdullah (as) regarding a Muslim man who was killed and had a Christian father. Imam (as) was asked
"To whom does his blood money (diyyah) go?" Imam (as) said: "It is taken and placed in the treasury (Bayt Al-Mal) of the Muslims because his liability falls upon the treasury of the Muslims."
5716 - وَ رَوَى اَلْحَسَنُ بْنُ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ
فِي رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ قُتِلَ وَ لَهُ أَبٌ نَصْرَانِيٌّ لِمَنْ تَكُونُ دِيَتُهُ قَالَ "تُؤْخَذُ فَتُجْعَلُ فِي بَيْتِ مَالِ اَلْمُسْلِمِينَ لِأَنَّ جِنَايَتَهُ عَلَى بَيْتِ مَالِ اَلْمُسْلِمِينَ ".

4. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Mahbub from Malik ibn ‘Atiyyah from abu ‘Ubaydah who has said the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘It is in the book of Ali (a.s.), that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “When people after me will commit fornication in increasing numbers the number of deaths suddenly will also increase.’””
4- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
وَجَدْنَا فِي كِتَابِ عَلِيٍّ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) إِذَا كَثُرَ الزِّنَا مِنْ بَعْدِي كَثُرَ مَوْتُ الْفَجْأَةِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Hassan ibn Mahbub from Malik ibn ‘Atiyyah from abu Basir from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Out of three people, two of them should not hold a private conversation because it saddens and hurts the feelings of the third.”
1ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِذَا كَانَ الْقَوْمُ ثَلاثَةً فَلا يَتَنَاجَى مِنْهُمُ اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ مَا يَحْزُنُهُ وَيُؤْذِيهِ.

1. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Hassan ibn Ali from ‘Abd al-Samad ibn Bashir from ‘ Atiyyah brother of al-Mighra’ who has said the following
“I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), that companions of al-Mughirah prohibit eating of meat which is dried up in the sun and fire has not touched it. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not unlawful to eat it.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ أَخِي أَبِي الْمَغْرَاءِ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْمُغِيرَةِ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْ أَكْلِ الْقَدِيدِ الَّتِي لَمْ تَمَسَّهُ النَّارُ فَقَالَ لَا بَأْسَ بِأَكْلِهِ .
