16. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu as from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Sama‘ah who has narrated the following
“I once asked him (the Imam) (a.s.), about the case of a man who gives a gift to his mother and she dies. She had taken the gift away from him in her possession. He (the Imam) said, ‘He and the other heirs are the same in dealing with that item.’”
