عبد الله بن الحسين بن يزيد

“This is a narration of abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), from the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause. He (the Messenger of Allah) has said, ‘You should give yourselves good names; on the Day of Judgment you will be called with your names: O so and so son of so and so, stand up to your light and stand up, O so and so son of so and so, you have no light.’”

“God’s Prophet (MGB) ordered us to bury the following four things: hair, teeth, nails and blood.”

Four characteristics will never vanish in my nation until the Resurrection Day: taking pride in their ancestry; challenging the lineage; relying on astrology; and mourning aloud over the dead. If a woman who mourns aloud dies without having repented, she shall be resurrected with a shirt made of tar and an itchy armor.”

Whoever in my nation abandons the following four characteristics shall go to Paradise: getting deeply involved in this world; following selfish desires; lust for food and lust for sex. And whoever from the women in my nation has four characteristics shall go to Paradise: guards her honor; obey her husband; says the five daily prayers; and fasts for the month of Ramazan .”

There is no god except You, the Living, the Constant. Whoever enters me shall rejoice.' God - Mighty and Exalted - answered it, 'by My Might, My Honour, My Splendour, and My Loftiness, never shall enter it one that persisted in drinking alcohol; nor one constantly given to intoxication; nor a calumniator - that is a slanderer; nor a wittol - meaning one without any shame for his household; nor a policeman - meaning a patrolman; nor a hermaphrodite - meaning one of both sexes; nor a graverobber - meaning a tomb raider; nor a tithe-taker; nor one who severs family relations; nor a libertarian rejector of Divine Pre-Destiny.'"

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: O Nation! Surely, Allah has disliked for you to have twenty-four characteristics, and He has prohibited them from you. He has disliked for you: (1) fiddling in prayer, (2) reminding others of your goodwill to them, (3) smiling before graves, (4) browsing the houses [of people without their permission], (5) gazing at the private of women – and he said: it causes blindness – (6) speaking during intercourse – and he said: it causes muteness – (7) sleeping before the final `Isha’, (8) socializing after the final `Isha’, (9) bathing beneath the sky without a cover, (10) intercourse beneath the sky, (11) entering rivers naked – and he said: in the rivers are living quarters of angels – (12) entering the bathhouses naked, (13) speaking between the adhan and the iqama until the prayer has been completed, (14) setting sail in a frenzy, (15) sleeping on a roof that is not plastered – and he said: whoever sleeps on a roof that is not plastered, no one bears responsibility for him – (16) for a man to sleep alone in a house, (17) for a man to have intercourse with his wife while she is menstruating, for if he does so, the child will be leprous, and he will have no one to blame but himself, (18) for a man to have intercourse with a woman after having a wet dream without bathing himself from the dream that he had seen; for if he does that, the child will come to be insane, and he will have no one to blame but himself, (19) for a man to speak to a leper without being an armlength away – and he said: keep away from a leper just as you keep away from a lion – (20) urinating on a flowing river, (21) for a man to speak under a tree that has blossomed or a date palm whose fruits have ripened, (22) for a man to put on his sandals while he is standing, (23) for a man to enter a dark house without a lamp or a candle, and (24) to blow during prayer.

Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: "Indeed, Allah (swt), the Blessed and Exalted, dislikes for you, O nation, twenty-four traits and has forbidden you from them. He (swt) dislikes frivolity during prayer, boasting in charity, laughing among graves, peeking into homes, and looking at the private parts of women." He (sw) said: "It leads to blindness." He (swt) has disliked speaking during intercourse. He (sw) said: "It leads to muteness." He (swt) has disliked sleeping before the last ('Isha) prayer and disliked talking after the last ('Isha) prayer. He (swt) has disliked bathing under the open sky without a loincloth, disliked intercourse under the open sky, and disliked entering rivers without a loincloth. He (sw) said: "There are inhabitants and dwellers from among the angels in the rivers." He (swt) has disliked entering bathhouses without a loincloth, disliked talking between the adhan and the iqamah for the morning prayer until the prayer is completed, disliked sailing in the sea during a storm, and disliked sleeping on a rooftop that is not enclosed." He (sw) said: "Whoever sleeps on a rooftop that is not enclosed, the protection (of Allah) is lifted from him." He (swt) has disliked a man sleeping alone in a house and disliked a man approaching his wife while she is in menstruation. If he does so and the child is born with leprosy or vitiligo, then he should blame none but himself. He (swt) has disliked a man approaching a woman after having experienced a wet dream until he has performed ghusl from the dream he saw. If he does so and the child is born insane, then he should blame none but himself. He (swt) has disliked a man speaking to a leper unless there is a distance of at least one arm's length between them. He (sw) said: "Flee from a leper as you would flee from a lion." He (swt) has disliked urinating on the bank of a flowing river and disliked relieving oneself under a fruit-bearing tree that has ripened, or a palm tree that has borne fruit. He (swt) has disliked putting on shoes while standing, disliked entering a dark house unless there is a lamp or fire in front of him, and disliked blowing (with the mouth) during prayer."
