hadith 2235
4. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from Khalaf ibn Hammad from those who narrated to him who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), once sent the son of his brother for something he needed. He returned when abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), had applied lime paste. He (the Imam) said, ‘Apply lime paste.’ He said, ‘Only three days ago I had applied it.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), said, ‘Applying lime is purifying.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ خَلَفِ بْنِ حَمَّادٍ عَمَّنْ رَوَاهُ قَالَ
بَعَثَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) ابْنَ أَخِيهِ فِي حَاجَةٍ فَجَاءَ وَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَدِ اطَّلَى بِالنُّورَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) اطَّلِ فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا عَهْدِي بِالنُّورَةِ مُنْذُ ثَلَاثٍ فَقَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّ النُّورَةَ طَهُورٌ .

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from ibn Faddal from Ali ibn ‘Uqbah from abu Kahmas who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Pulling out the hairs of the underarms weakens the shoulders.’ Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), applied lime paste as a hair remover.’”
مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي كَهْمَسٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) نَتْفُ الْإِبْطِ يُضْعِفُ الْمَنْكِبَيْنِ وَ كَانَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَطْلِي إِبْطَهُ .

2. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) said, “One who performs a good deed for the sake of people, his outcome is along with those people only. Surely every showoff is polytheism. The Almighty Allah says: One who performs a good deed for Me as well as for others he has done it for others and not for Me.”
وَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع مَنْ عَمِلَ لِلنَّاسِ کَانَ ثَوَابُهُ عَلَی النَّاسِ إِنَّ کان [کُلَ] رِیَاءٍ شِرْکٌ. وَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَ مَنْ عَمِلَ لِی وَ لِغَیْرِی فَهُوَ لِمَنْ عَمِلَ لَهُ.

hadith 52
50. From him, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al-Hajjaal, from Hafs Bin Abu A’isha who said
‘Abu Abdullah (asws) sent one of his (asws) servants on an errand. He was delayed. So Abu Abdullah (asws) went out to see why he had been delayed. He (asws) found him sleeping. So he (asws) sat near to his head and caressed it (and waited) until he woke up. So when he was awake, Abu Abdullah (asws) said to him: ‘O so and so, by Allah (azwj), that is not for you. The night is for you to sleep in and the day from you is for us (asws)’.
عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ قَالَ
بَعَثَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) غُلَاماً لَهُ فِي حَاجَةٍ فَأَبْطَأَ فَخَرَجَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَلَى أَثَرِهِ لَمَّا أَبْطَأَ عَلَيْهِ فَوَجَدَهُ نَائِماً فَجَلَسَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ يُرَوِّحُهُ حَتَّى انْتَبَهَ فَلَمَّا انْتَبَهَ قَالَ لَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَا فُلَانُ وَ اللَّهِ مَا ذَاكَ لَكَ تَنَامُ اللَّيْلَ وَ النَّهَارَ لَكَ اللَّيْلُ وَ لَنَا مِنْكَ النَّهَارُ.

7. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Abd Allah al-Hajjal from Hafs ibn abu ‘A’isha who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) once sent one of his slaves for a certain work and he delayed. The Imam then went out to find why he has delayed so much. He found him sleeping. He sat near his head fanning to comfort him until he woke up. When he fully woke up, Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) said to him, ‘O so and so, Allah knows, you are not supposed to do this. You sleep night and day. The night is for you to sleep and your day is for us.’”
7ـ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الله الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ قَالَ
بَعَثَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) غُلاماً لَهُ فِي حَاجَةٍ فَأَبْطَأَ فَخَرَجَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) عَلَى أَثَرِهِ لَمَّا أَبْطَأَ فَوَجَدَهُ نَائِماً فَجَلَسَ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ يُرَوِّحُهُ حَتَّى انْتَبَهَ فَلَمَّا تَنَبَّهَ قَالَ لَهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) يَا فُلانُ وَالله مَا ذَلِكَ لَكَ تَنَامُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ لَكَ اللَّيْلُ وَلَنَا مِنْكَ النَّهَارُ.

hadith 603
7. My father and ‘Ali ibn Ḥusain both narrated to me from ‘Ali ibn Ibrāhīm, from his father, from Muḥammad ibn ‘Ali, from Abī Sa’īd Al-‘Usfuri, from Ḥammād ibn Ayyūb, who said: Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) narrated from his fathers (a.s.), from the Commander of the Believers (a.s.), who said
The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said: My son will be buried in a land called Karbalā. It is the land which contained the Dome of Islam wherein Allāh saved the believers who believed in Nūḥ at the time of the flood.
7 وَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) الْغَاضِرِيَّةُ تُرْبَةٌ مِنْ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ

H 38 - Narrated to me Hannan bin Sudair from Ismail [bin Ziyad] Bazzaz that he said
Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) said: The master of this affair is the executor of the will, while he is twenty years old. After that Ismail said: No one became the executor of the will of Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) who was younger; and Imam Kadhim (a.s) was of the age, which Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s) had mentioned.
38- قال وحدثني حنان بن سدير عن إسماعيل البزاز قال
قال أبو عبد الله عليه السلام: إن صاحب هذا الأمر يلي الوصية وهو ابن عشرين سنة. فقال إسماعيل: فو الله ما وليها أحد قط كان أحدث منه وإنه لفي السن الذي قال أبو عبد الله عليه السلام.

hadith 748
Muhammad ibn San'an narrated that once when Imam Sadiq (a.s) wrote a letter, the mailman wanted to seal the envelope. Imam Sadiq (a.s) said
“Do not seal that envelope. May God damn the first man who started sealing envelopes!” They asked who that was. He said: “It was so and so of the Ummayed clan, may God damn him.”
عن محمد بن سنان قال: كتب أبو عبد الله (عليه السلام) كتابا فأراد عقيب أن يتربه، فقال له أبو عبد الله (عليه السلام): لا تتربه، فلعن الله أول من ترب
فقلت: يا بن رسول الله، أخبرني عن أول من ترب؟ فقال: فلان الأموي عليه لعنة الله.

Hadith.4683 - Abu Abdullah (as) said: "The sucking of milk by a child is equivalent to breastfeeding."

hadith 2268
5. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Mu’ Alla ibn Muhammad from al- Washsha’ from Hammad ibn ‘Uthman who has said the following
“Once Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) was sitting with his right foot on his left thigh. A man said, ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause, this sitting posture is not desirable.’ The Imam said, ‘It is not so. That is a thing the Jews say that when Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, finished creating the heavens and earth and took His place on the Throne, He sat in this posture to rest and relax. Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, revealed 255 of Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran, “Allah exists. No one deserves to be worshipped except Allah, the Everlasting and the Guardian of life. Drowsiness or sleep does not seize him. . . .’” (2:255) Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) continued to remain in that sitting posture.’”
5ـ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ
جَلَسَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مُتَوَرِّكاً رِجْلُهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ هَذِهِ جِلْسَةٌ مَكْرُوهَةٌ فَقَالَ لا إِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْ‏ءٌ قَالَتْهُ الْيَهُودُ لَمَّا أَنْ فَرَغَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ خَلْقِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأرْضِ وَاسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ جَلَسَ هَذِهِ الْجِلْسَةَ لِيَسْتَرِيحَ فَأَنْزَلَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ الله لا إِلهَ إِلا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ لا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلا نَوْمٌ وَبَقِيَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) مُتَوَرِّكاً كَمَا هُوَ.

Hadith.2485 - Abu Abdullah (as) said: "Purchase black, unattractive camels, for they have the longest lifespans among camels."
