4. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah who has said that abu Shu’ayb has narrated from Rifa‘ah, from Aban ibn Taghlib who has narrated the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a son of a brother and a grandfather. He (the Imam) said, ‘The legacy between them is half and half.’”
4- حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ قَالَ
رَوَى أَبُو شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ تَغْلِبَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ ابْنِ أَخٍ وَجَدٍّ فَقَالَ الْمَالُ بَيْنَهُمَا نِصْفَانِ.

14. Humayd ibn Ziyad has narrated from al-Hassan ibn Muhammad ibn Sama‘ah from more than one person from Aban from ’Isma‘il ibn al-Fadl who has said the following
“About the case of a cloth which has silk in it abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘If it is mixed with other fibers it then it is not unlawful.’”
حُمَيْدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي الثَّوْبِ يَكُونُ فِيهِ الْحَرِيرُ فَقَالَ
إِنْ كَانَ فِيهِ خِلْطٌ فَلَا بَأْسَ .

I would have even liked it that my companions’ heads are lashed with whips for them to gain a comprehensive understanding (of the religion).

1. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Hariz from Walid ibn Sabih from Abi Abdallah (a.s) who has said the following
“One who neglects marriage for fear of failure to feed his family has become distrustful of Allah.”’
1- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ عَنْ وَلِيدِ بْنِ صَبِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
مَنْ تَرَكَ التَّزْوِيجَ مَخَافَةَ الْعَيْلَةِ فَقَدْ أَسَاءَ بِاللهِ الظَّنَّ.

Hadith.2877 - Aban ibn Uthman narrated from Yahya al-Azraq, from Abu Abdullah (as), who said
"Whoever performs Hajj on behalf of another person, they share in the reward until the obligatory Tawaf is completed. After that, any act performed is for the one performing the Hajj."
2877 - وَرَوَى أَبَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى الْأَزْرَقِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، قَالَ
"مَنْ حَجَّ عَنْ إِنْسَانٍ ٱشْتَرَكَا حَتَّى إِذَا قَضَى طَوَافَ الْفَرِيضَةِ ٱنْقَطَعَتِ ٱلشَّرِكَةُ، فَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ كَانَ لِذَلِكَ ٱلْحَاجِّ."

2. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa ibn ‘Ubayd from Yunus from ‘Umar ibn Aban from al-Mufaddal ibn ‘Umar who has said the following
“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), say, ‘Fasting during the month of Sha‘ban and the month of Ramadan in a continuous manner is returning to Allah.’”
2ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانٍ عَنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) يَقُولُ صَوْمُ شَعْبَانَ وَشَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ تَوْبَةٌ مِنَ الله.

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq was asked, “What is the punishment of murder?” Imam (a.s.) replied, “Hell.”

جَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ.

hadith 148
41. Aban has narrated from abu al-Jarud who has narrated the following
“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), has said, ‘A man cannot buy what he has given as charity. If he gives as charity a house to a relative then if he likes he can live with them. If he gives in charity a servant to a relative he can serve him by the will of Allah.’”
41- أَبَانٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْجَارُودِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) لا يَشْتَرِي الرَّجُلُ مَا تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ وَإِنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِمَسْكَنٍ عَلَى ذِي قَرَابَتِهِ فَإِنْ شَاءَ سَكَنَ مَعَهُمْ وَإِنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِخَادِمٍ عَلَى ذِي قَرَابَتِهِ خَدَمَتْهُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ.

10. Ḥasan ibn ‘Abdillāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā narrated to me from his father, from Ḥasan ibn Maḥbūb, from Abān, from Al-Sadūsi, from Abī ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), who said
The Messenger of Allāh (s.a.a.w.) said: On the Day of Judgment, I will intercede for those who have come to my Ziyārah.
10 حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنِ السَّدُوسِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ (ع) قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (ص) مَنْ أَتَانِي زَائِراً كُنْتُ شَفِيعَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

hadith 965
1. Ahmad ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Nahdiy, from Muhammad ibn al-Wafid from Aban from Dharih who has said the following
“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one who passes five years without delegating himself before his Lord when he is able to do so, is in fact a deprived person.”
1ـ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ ذَرِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
مَنْ مَضَتْ لَهُ خَمْسُ سِنِينَ فَلَمْ يَفِدْ إِلَى رَبِّهِ وَهُوَ مُوسِرٌ إِنَّهُ لَمَحْرُومٌ.

Hadith.3462 - Aban narrated from Abu Maryam, from Abu Abdullah (as), who was asked about a man who made his bondwoman mudabbar (to be freed after his death). Imam (as) was asked
"Can he have relations with her if he wishes, or marry her off, or sell her service during his lifetime?" Imam (as) said: "Yes, he may do any of these if he wishes."
3462 - وَ رَوَى أَبَانٌ عَنْ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
سُئِلَ عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ يُعْتِقُ جَارِيَتَهُ عَنْ دُبُرٍ أَ يَطَؤُهَا إِنْ شَاءَ أَوْ يُنْكِحُهَا أَوْ يَبِيعُ خِدْمَتَهَا حَيَاتَهُ قَالَ "نَعَمْ أَيَّ ذَلِكَ شَاءَ فَعَلَ".

Hadith.5694 - Ibn Abi Umayr narrated from Aban and others, from Zurarah, from Abu Jafar Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as), who said
"The Commander of the Faithful (as) ruled regarding the child of mula'anah that his mother inherits one-third, and the remainder belongs to the Imam because any liability for his actions falls upon the Imam."
5694 - وَ رَوَى اِبْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبَانٍ وَ غَيْرِهِ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
"قَضَى أَمِيرُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ فِي اِبْنِ اَلْمُلاَعَنَةِ "أَنَّهُ تَرِثُهُ أُمُّهُ اَلثُّلُثَ وَ اَلْبَاقِي لِلْإِمَامِ لِأَنَّ جِنَايَتَهُ عَلَى اَلْإِمَامِ" ".

4. Aban has narrated from al-Wasitiy who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Allah created Adam from water and clay so the ambition of the sons of Adam is in water and clay. He created Eve from Adam so the ambition of women is for men and their fortress is in the houses.’”
4- أَبَانٌ عَنِ الْوَاسِطِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ اللهَ خَلَقَ آدَمَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) مِنَ الْمَاءِ وَالطِّينِ فَهِمَّةُ ابْنِ آدَمَ فِي الْمَاءِ وَالطِّينِ وَخَلَقَ حَوَّاءَ مِنْ آدَمَ فَهِمَّةُ النِّسَاءِ فِي الرِّجَالِ فَحَصِّنُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ.

Hadith.4128 - Aban narrated from Abdur-Rahman ibn Abi Abdullah who said
Abu Abdullah (as), said: "Whatever is caught by a snare and has part of it severed, then it is considered dead. However, if you find the rest of its body alive, then perform the proper slaughtering (Zabiha) and eat from it."
4128 - وَ رَوَى أَبَانٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ : "مَا أَخَذَتِ اَلْحِبَالَةُ وَ قَطَعَتْ مِنْهُ فَهُوَ مَيْتَةٌ وَ مَا أَدْرَكْتَ مِنْ سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ حَيّاً فَذَكِّهِ ثُمَّ كُلْ مِنْهُ ".

2. Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Mu‘alla’ ibn Muhammad from al-Hassan ibn Ali al-Washsha’ from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from al-Husayn ibn Ziyad from Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) who said
“It is not harmful for a male or female cook to taste the broth while they are fasting.”
2ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْوَشَّاءِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم) قَالَ
لا بَأْسَ لِلطَّبَّاخِ وَالطَّبَّاخَةِ أَنْ يَذُوقَ الْمَرَقَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ.

5ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) مَنْ زَادَ فِي صَلاَتِهِ فَعَلَيْهِ الإِعَادَةُ.

6. It is narrated from him (narrator of the Hadith above) from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban from ‘Isa ibn ‘Abd Allah al- Qummi from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
"Say, ‘O Lord, I plead before You through Your Glory, Beauty and Magnanimity to provide me such and such help,’ one should mention one’s wishes.”
6 - عَنْهُ، عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ أَبَانٍ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْقُمِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عليه السلام) قَالَ
قُلِ: " اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِجَلَالِكَ وَجَمَالِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ أَنْ تَفْعَلَ بِي كَذَا وَكَذَا ".

9. Abu Ali al-Ash’ari has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhsin ibn Ahmad from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from Hadid ibn Hakim from Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘The minimum form of causing suffering and disappointment to parents is the expression, ‘Uff. Had Allah known anything less disappointing than ‘Uff, He would have prohibited it.’”
9ـ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الأشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَسِّنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ حَدِيدِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
أَدْنَى الْعُقُوقِ أُفٍّ وَلَوْ عَلِمَ الله أَيْسَرَ مِنْهُ لَنَهَى عَنْهُ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban from certain persons of his people who has said the following
“About the case of a man who marries a woman in the manner of al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) many times, abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful, he can marry her in the manner of al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) as many times as he wants.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبَانٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي الرَّجُلِ يَتَمَتَّعُ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ الْمَرَّاتِ قَالَ
لا بَأْسَ يَتَمَتَّعُ مِنْهَا مَا شَاءَ.

2. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from Aban ibn ‘Uthman from ‘Isa ibn abu Mansur who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘It is not unlawful to marry a slave-girl in the manner of al-Mut‘ah (advantageous marriage) by the permission of her master.’”
2- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ أَبِي مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ الأمَةَ مُتْعَةً بِإِذْنِ مَوْلاهَا.
