I asked Abu Ja`far al-Baqir (AS): “Verily, the people in our presence are talking increasingly about the attributes of Allah. What should we say? So, he (AS) replied, “It is abhorred [makruh]. Do you not hear Allah, the Mighty and High, saying that And that to your Lord is the end of all. Speak about other than that.”

hadith 619
Hadith.5590 - Muhammad ibn Sulayman Al-Daylami narrated from his father, who narrated from Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as). He said
I asked Imam (as) about a man who donates part of his house to a stranger and then dies. Imam (as) replied: "It should be appraised for its value, and its price should be given to him."
5590 - وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ اَلدَّيْلَمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ
سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ يَتَصَدَّقُ عَلَى اَلرَّجُلِ اَلْغَرِيبِ بِبَعْضِ دَارِهِ ثُمَّ يَمُوتُ قَالَ "يُقَوَّمُ ذَلِكَ قِيمَةً فَيُدْفَعُ إِلَيْهِ ثَمَنُهُ".

22. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Sulayman from Ali ibn Ibrahim from ‘Abdallah ibn Sinan that Abu ‘Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) said
“The hujjah (proof) of Allah over the worshippers is the Prophet (sw) and the hujjah (proof) between Allah and the people is the intellect (al-'Aql).”

Do not abandon the standing during the night, for indeed, the defrauded is the one who is defrauded from the standing during the night (in prayer).

4. Muḥammad ibn Ja’far narrated to me from Muḥammad ibn Ḥusain, from a scholar of our companions, from Abil Sabbāḥ Al-Kināni, who said
Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: The clay of the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.) is a cure even if the clay is collected from the distance of one mile away (from the grave of Ḥusain (a.s.)).

47-9 Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Attar (a.s.) - may God be pleased with him - narrated that his father and Sa’d ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn Abil Khattab, on the authority of Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Nasr al-Bezanti, on the authority of Abdis Samad ibn Ubaydillah, on the authority of Muhammad ibn al-Asram who was the chief of the police for Muhammad ibn Soleiman al-Alawi in Medina during the times of Abul Saraya, “Muhammad’s family and others from the Quraysh (tribe) gathered around him in Medina, pledged allegiance to him and asked him to send for Abil Hassan Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.), since Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) is from them and they are from him (a.s.). Then Muhammad ibn Soleiman said, “
Go to him and deliver my greetings to him. Tell him that his family members have gathered together and wish you to be with them. Ask him to come here, if he pleases.” The narrator said, “I went to see the Imam (a.s.) in Al-Hamra and delivered the message to him. The Imam (a.s.) said, ‘Deliver my greetings. I will go there after twenty days.’ I returned and delivered the Imam’s response. Several days passed. On the eighteenth day Al-Joloodi’s agent called Warqa’ attacked and defeated us. I fled to As-Sowrayn and suddenly heard someone say, “O Athram!” I turned to him and saw Abul Hassan Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.). Abul Hassan Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) asked me, “Has twenty days passed or not?”Muhammad ibn Soleiman al-Alawi referred to above is Muhammad ibn Soleiman ibn Dawood ibn Al-Hassan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.).
9 - حَدَّثَنا أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى العَطَّار رَضِىَاللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ حَدَّثَني أَبي وَسَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه جَمِيعاً عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَبي الخَطَّاب عَنْ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبي نَصْرِ البِزَنْطِيِّ عَنْ عَبْد الصمد بْنِ عُبِيْد اللَّه عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الأثرم وَكانَ عَلَى شرطة مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمان العَلَوِي بِالْمَدِينَة أَيَّام أَبي السرايا قالَ
اجْتَمَعَ إِلَيْهِ أَهْلُ بَيْتِهِ وَغَيْرُهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فَبَايَعُوهُ وَقَالُوا لَهُ لَوْ بَعَثْتَ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ كَانَ مَعَنَا وَكَانَ أَمْرُنَا وَاحِداً قَالَ فَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيَْمانَ اذْهَبْ إِلَيْهِ فَأَقْرِئْهُ السَّلامَ وَقُلْ لَهُ إِنَّ أَهْلَ بَيْتِكَ اجْتَمَعُوا وَأَحَبُّوا أَنْ تَكُونَ مَعَهُمْ فَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنَا فَافْعَلْ قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ بِالْحَمْرَاءِ فَأَدَّيْتُ مَا أَرْسَلَنِي بِهِ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَقْرِئْهُ مِنِّي السَّلامَ وَقُلْ لَهُ إِذَا مَضَى عِشْرُونَ يَوْماً أَتَيْتُكَ قَالَ فَجِئْتُ فَأَبْلَغْتُهُ مَا أَرْسَلَنِي بِهِ إِلَيْهِ فَمَكَثْنَا أَيَّاماً فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ جَاءَنَا وَرْقَاءُ قَائِدُ الْجَلُودِيِّ فَقَاتَلَنَا فَهَزَمَنَا فَخَرَجْتُ هَارِباً نَحْوَالصَّوْرَيْنِ فَإِذَا هَاتِفٌ يَهْتِفُ بِي يَا أَثْرَمُ فَالْتَفَتُّ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: مَضَتِ الْعِشْرُونَ أَمْ لا وَهُوَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيَْمانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ‏ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ.

hadith 796
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘ Abd Allah al-Barqiy from Ali ibn Muhammad ibn Sulayman from abu Ayyub al-Madiniy from Sulayman ibn Ja‘far al-Ja‘fariy who has said the following
“Abu al-Hassan, al-Rida’ (a.s.), has said, ‘On each wing of the Hoopoe in Assyrian language it is written, ‘Family of Muhammad are the best of creatures.’”
عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْمَدِينِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ الْجَعْفَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا ( عليه السلام ) قَالَ
فِي كُلِّ جَنَاحِ هُدْهُدٍ مَكْتُوبٌ بِالسُّرْيَانِيَّةِ آلُ مُحَمَّدٍ خَيْرُ الْبَرِيَّةِ .

4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Sulayman from Musa ibn Qadim from a man who has said the following
“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that visiting of a patient is complete upon placing your hand over his arm (praying) and standing up quickly to leave; an unwise visiting of a patient is harder for him than the pain due to illness.”
4ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ قَادِمٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ الْسَّلام) قَالَ
تَمَامُ الْعِيَادَةِ لِلْمَرِيضِ أَنْ تَضَعَ يَدَكَ عَلَى ذِرَاعِهِ وَتُعَجِّلَ الْقِيَامَ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ فَإِنَّ عِيَادَةَ النَّوْكَى أَشَدُّ عَلَى الْمَرِيضِ مِنْ وَجَعِهِ.

Hadith.5479 - Muhammad bin Isa narrated from Muhammad bin Sulayman from Al-Husayn bin Umar, who said
I said to Abu Abdullah (as), "A man made a will to me regarding something in the way of Allah (swt)." Imam (as) said to me: "Use it for Hajj." I said: "He made a will to me in the way." Imam (as) said: "Use it for Hajj, for I do not know of any path among His (swt) paths better than Hajj."
5479 - وَ رَوَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ اَلْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ إِنَّ رَجُلاً أَوْصَى إِلَيَّ بِشَيْءٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اَللَّهِ فَقَالَ لِي "اِصْرِفْهُ فِي اَلْحَجِّ" قَالَ قُلْتُ أَوْصَى إِلَيَّ فِي اَلسَّبِيلِ قَالَ "اِصْرِفْهُ فِي اَلْحَجِّ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَعْلَمُ سَبِيلاً مِنْ سُبُلِهِ أَفْضَلَ مِنَ اَلْحَجِّ".

2. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn Sulayman from certain individuals of his people from who has said the following
“Once I said to abu al-Hassan (a.s.) ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause, we hear certain verses of the Holy Quran that we do not have with us as we hear them and we cannot read as good as we receive from you. Are we committing sins in this matter?’ The Imam said, ‘No, you are not committing any sins, read as you have learned. The one to teach you will come soon.’”
2ـ عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
قُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ إِنَّا نَسْمَعُ الآيَاتِ فِي الْقُرْآنِ لَيْسَ هِيَ عِنْدَنَا كَمَا نَسْمَعُهَا وَلا نُحْسِنُ أَنْ نَقْرَأَهَا كَمَا بَلَغَنَا عَنْكُمْ فَهَلْ نَأْثَمُ فَقَالَ لا اقْرَءُوا كَمَا تَعَلَّمْتُمْ فَسَيَجِيئُكُمْ مَنْ يُعَلِّمُكُمْ.

(39) Ali bin Ahmad narrated from Obaydillah bin Musa from Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Khalid from his father from Muhammad bin Sulayman ad-Daylami from Abu Baseer that Abu Abdullah as-Sadiq (as) had said about the verse
“The guilty shall be recognized by their marks:” “Allah recognizes them. But the verse has been revealed about al-Qa’im. He will recognize them by their marks and then he and his companions will strike them with their swords.”
39 - حدثنا علي بن أحمد قال: حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى، عن أحمد بن محمد بن خالد، عن أبيه، عن محمد بن سليمان الديلمي، عن أبي بصير، عن أبي عبد الله في قوله تعالى يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ قال
الله يعرفهم، ولكن نزلت في القائم يعرفهم بسيماهم فيخطبهم بالسيف هو وأصحابه خبطاً.

6. He said: Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Umar al-Ji’abi reported to me from Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn Sulaiman Abul Fadhl, who reported from Dawood ibn Rushaid, who reported from Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Tha’labi al-Mosili Abu Nawfil, who said
I heard Ja’far ibn Muhammad, peace be upon him, say: "We are the Chosen ones by Allah among His creation, and our Shi’ahs are His Chosen ones from the Ummah of Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny."
6 - قال: حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن عمر الجعابي قال: حدثني جعفر بن محمد بن سليمان أبو الفضل قال: حدثنا داود بن رشيد قال: حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق الثعلبي الموصلي أبو نوفل قال
سمعت جعفر بن محمد عليهما السلام يقول: نحن خيرة الله من خلقه، وشيعتنا خيرة الله من أمة نبيه صلى الله عليه وآله.

46. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Khalid from Muhammad ibn sulayman from his father from abu Basir from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the words of Allah, the Most High. “Someone has (needlessly) demanded to experience the torment (of God), (70:1) which will inevitably seize the unbelievers (in Imam Ali’s Leadership with Divine Authority).” (70:2) The Imam (a.s.) then said, “
This, by Aallah, how Jibril brought to The Holy Prophet (s.a.).”
46ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) فِي قَوْلِ الله تَعَالَى سَأَلَ سائِلٌ بِعَذابٍ واقِعٍ. لِلْكافِرينَ بِوَلايَةِ عَلِيٍّ لَيْسَ لَهُ دافِعٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ
هَكَذَا وَالله نَزَلَ بِهَا جَبْرَئِيلُ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه )

5. Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from Muhammad ibn Sulayman from al- Husayn ibn ‘Umar who has narrated the following
“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, about the case of a man who has made a will to spend in the way of Allah. He (the Imam) said to me to spend it for al-Haj j . I said that he has said to spend it in the way of Allah. He (the Imam) said, ‘Spend for al-Hajj because I do not see anything in His way better than al-Hajj.”’
5- مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لأبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) إِنَّ رَجُلا أَوْصَى إِلَيَّ بِشَيْ‏ءٍ فِي السَّبِيلِ فَقَالَ لِيَ اصْرِفْهُ فِي الْحَجِّ قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ أَوْصَى إِلَيَّ فِي السَّبِيلِ قَالَ اصْرِفْهُ فِي الْحَجِّ فَإِنِّي لا أَعْلَمُ شَيْئاً مِنْ سَبِيلِهِ أَفْضَلَ مِنَ الْحَجِّ.

1. We were told by Muhammed bin Hasan bin Ahmad bin Waleed, may Allah grant him mercy, that he said: We were told by Muhammed bin Yahya al-‘Attar, from Muhammed bin Ahmad bin Yahya bin Imran al-Ash’ari, from Ibrahim bin Ishaq al-Nahawandi, from Muhammed bin Sulayman al-Dailami, from his father, from Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, that he said
I heard him saying: The winter is the spring of the believer. Its night is prolonged with him, so he uses it to stand (in prayer), and its day is shortened, so he uses it to fast.
حدثنا محمد بن الحسن بن أحمد بن الوليد - رحمه الله - قال: حدثنا محمد بن يحيى العطار، عن محمد بن أحمد بن يحيى بن عمران الأشعري، عن إبراهيم بن إسحاق النهاوندي عن محمد بن سليمان الديلمي، عن أبيه، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال
سمعته يقول: الشتاء ربيع المؤمن يطول فيه ليلة فيستعين به على قيامه ويقصر فيه نهاره فيستعين به على صيامه.

3-32 (The compiler of the book narrated) that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Abdullah ibn Ja’far al-Homayry quoted Ahmad ibn Aba Abdullah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abdullah ibn al-Fazl al-Nawfaly, on the authority of Isa ibn Abdullah al-Hashemi, on the authority of Abi Khalid Muhammad ibn Suleiman, on the authority of someone, on the authority of Ibn al-Munkadir who linked it up through documents to God’s Prophet (MGB) who said
“The best of you are those who feed (the needy), greet aloud, and pray (at night) when others are asleep.”
3-32 حدثنا أبي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن جعفر الحميري، عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله، عن أبيه، عن عبد الله بن الفضل النوفلي، عن عيسى بن عبد الله الهاشمي، عن أبي خالد محمد بن سليمان، عن رجل، عن ابن المنكدر باسناده قال
قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله: خيركم من أطعم الطعام، وأفشى السلام وصلى والناس نيام
