I was at the place of Abu Abdillah, peace be upon him, with a group of his companions, and I heard him while he was saying: Indeed, the womb of the Imams, peace be upon him, from the Family of Muhammed, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family, will surely adhere to the Throne on the Day of Resurrection, and onto it will the wombs of the believers adhere, and it will say: «O Lord, connect (us) to those who connected to us, and disconnect (us) from those who disconnected from us.» He said: Then Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, will say: «I am the Mercifull to all, and you are the womb ; I split your name out of My Name. Hence, the one who connects to you, I will connect him, and the one who disconnects from you, I will disconnect him.» That is why the Messenger of Allah, Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family said: The womb is a shujna from Allah, Exalted and Glorious is He.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah, Alayhi al-Salam, has stated this Hadith. ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘You must not sit on the stumper with both legs hanging from one side (causing imbalance) or make its back a meeting place (talking to someone with the stumper halted and kept on hold).”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘One who does not ask help from Allah, the Majestic, the Glorious, becomes needy and poor.’”

“The Messenger of Allah once said, ‘O Ali, this religion is strong (and vast). Follow it with care. Do not cause your soul to hate the worship of your Lord. The extremist is like a person who during a journey destroys his riding animal and is left without any animal to ride before reaching his destination. Do good deeds like one who knows he will die very old and be cautious as one who is afraid of dying the next day.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Jesus would say, “Do not speak a great deal in things other than speaking of Allah. Those who speak a great deal in things other than speaking of Allah are hardhearted, but they do not know it.’””

foiiowing: “Abu ’Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that there is no one who pays his zakat who then experiences any decrease in his wealth. Also no increase takes place in the wealth of one who refuses to pay zakat which is due on him.”

“He (the Imam) (a.s.), has stated this Hadith. ‘The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, “If one finds pieces of food and eats them it is one good deed, and if one finds them in unclean places, then washes them, then picks them up, he will have seventy good deeds recorded for him.’””

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.) has said, ‘Whoever comes to us seeking to learn Fiqh (laws of Shari’a) and the Holy Quran, allow him to come in. Whoever comes to us to make public what Allah has covered, you must move him away.’ A man from the people then said, ‘May Allah keep my soul in service for your cause, I have been involved in sin for a long time and I want to change to something else but I am not able to do so.’ The Imam said, ‘If you are true, Allah loves you. There is nothing to prevent Him from changing you to something else, it is only as such so that you can be fearing Him.’”

“I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘A believer continues facing anxiety and sadness in this world until he leaves it with no sins in him.’”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever reads four verses from the beginning of Chapter 2 of the Holy Quran, verse 255- 257 and three verses from the end of this Chapter, he will not experience anything in his own self or property that he dislikes, Satan will not approach him and he will not forget the Holy Quran.’”

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), was asked about challenging (to fight the enemy) while standing between the two confronting armies after the permission of the Imam. He (the Imam) said, ‘It is fine but it must not take place without the permission of the Imam.”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The Messenger of Allah, when eating would wipe the dish clean and say, “Whoever, wipes the dish clean is as if has given charity as much.’””

“I once asked abu Ja‘far (a.s.), if it is permissible to perform Salah (prayer) in a Masjid with pictures. He (the Imam) said, ‘I dislike it, however, today it is not harmful to you. Had justice been established you would see how it is dealt with.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah (saww) has said, ‘The best of your women are those who cook nice, smell nice, when spending she spends what is proper and withholds what is proper. That is a worker from Allah and a worker from Allah does not fail.’”

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ‘There is no Riba ’ between a man and his sons as well between a master and his slave.”’

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘The words of a man to a woman, ‘I love you’ never goes away from her heart.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Amr ibn Jami has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) have mercy on him - from Ahmad ibn Idris, from Muhammad ibn Ahmad, from Al-Hasan ibn Al-Husayn Al-Lu'lu'i, from Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Yusuf, from Muadh Al-Jawhari, from Amr ibn Jami.

1. Imam Zainul Abideen (a.s.) narrates that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who recites the first four verses of Surah Baqarah, Ayatal Kursi and two verses which follow it and the last three verses of this Surah he and his wealth would remain safe from all calamities. Satan would not come near him and he will never forget the Holy Quran.”

“I heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘There is not much good in one who does not love to accumulate lawful wealth with which he can safeguard his dignity, pay off his debts and maintain good relations with relatives.’”

The one expected to be the most humble in private and in public is the carrier of the Holy Quran, the one expected the most to perform prayer and fast in private and in public is the carrier of the Holy Quran. Then he called out loud, “O carrier of the Holy Quran, be humble with the holy Quran, Allah will raise you for it, do not try to raise your reputation with it for the sake of people; Allah for this will cause you to be humiliated. O carrier of the Holy Quran, beautify the Quran for the sake of Allah and Allah will beautify you for it, do not beautify it’s recitation for the people for Allah will cause your reputation to be reduced. Whoever completes the Holy Quran, it is as if he has saved prophet-hood between his two sides, only divine revelation does not come to him. Whoever collects the Holy Quran has gained handsomely, thus, toward one who behaves toward him ignorantly, he does behave as such; with one who behaves toward him with anger, he does not do as such; and with one who behaves toward him irritably, he does not behave as such. With one who behaves with him in this manner he pardons, ignores, forgives, and bears patiently with them out of respect for the Holy Quran. If one who has received the Holy Quran thinks that what others have received is better than what he has received, he has given significance to what Allah is has made worthless and has considered as worthless what Allah has given greatness.’”
