“’Amir al-Mu’minin (a.s.), has said, ’If a Dhimmiy (taxpayer) becomes a Muslim when his father is living who has children besides him, then the father dies, the Muslim inherits all of his legacy and his other children and wife do not inherit anything with a Muslim.’”

foiiowing: “This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a man who becomes friends with a woman who gives him a certain amount of asset which remains in his hands for as long as Allah wants; then he spends from it. He (the Imam) said, ‘He must return it to her and if anything extra is left it is for him.’”

"I heard Abu Abdullah (as) (Imam Ja'far Al-Sadiq (as)) say: 'Indeed, Allah (swt), the Blessed and Exalted, caused His Messenger (sw) to sleep through the Fajr prayer until the sun had risen. Then he stood up and prayed the two rak'ahs before Fajr, followed by the Fajr prayer. He forgot during his prayer, so he made a mistake and gave the salutation in two rak'ahs. Then he described what Dhul-Shimālayn (who pointed out the mistake) said. He did this out of mercy for this ummah, so that no Muslim man would be reproached if he sleeps through his prayer or makes a mistake in it, and so that it would be said: 'This happened to the Messenger of Allah (sw).'".

He (the Imam) said, ‘She must perform Sa‘y between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah and perform Qada’ (compensatory Hajj for) her al-Hajj al-Tamattu‘ (advantageous).”’

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a woman who is for al-Hajj al- Tamattu‘ (advantageous), enters Makkah and experiences Hayd (menses), what she must do? He (the Imam) said, ‘She performs Sa‘y between al-Safa’ and al-Marwah then remains at home. If she becomes clean, she performs Tawaf around the House; but if she does not become clean she, on the day of al-Tarwiyah (eight of Dhu al-Hajjah) must pour water on herself, say Talbiyah for al-Hajj, go to Mina’ and perform all acts. All things that were unlawful for her in the state of Ihram become lawful to her, after she completes this, except the bed of her husband.’ ‘Ubayd Allah ibn Salih and I had heard this Hadith in the Masjid. ‘Ubayd Allah went to see abu al-Hassan (a.s.), then came back to me and said, ‘I asked abu al-Hassan (a.s.), about the Hadith of ‘Ajlan and he (the Imam) narrated to me just as we had heard from ‘Ajlan.’”

“A believer is counted among virtuous till he is silent. As soon as he speaks, he is included either among good people or bad ones.”

“Good deeds are written for a Muslim till he is silent. As soon as he speaks, either a good deed or a sin is written down for him.”

“I heard Aba Ja’far (s) say, ‘We are twelve Divine Leaders from the Household of Muhammad after God’s Prophet (s). We are all ‘Muhaddath and Ali ibn Abi Talib (s) is one of us.’”

Good deeds are recorded for a Muslim man as long as he remains quiet. However, once he starts to talk, good or bad deeds are recorded for him.”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about the case of a female orphan; when her assets must be given to her. He (the Imam) said, ‘When you learn that she does not destroy it or lose it, then you can give it to her.’ I then asked, ‘What happens if she has married?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘When she marries then possession (authority) of executor of the will ends.’”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Muhammad ibn Bijil, the brother of Ali ibn Bijil, has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah, from Al-Haytham ibn Abi Masruq Al-Nahdi, from Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub, from Ali ibn Al-Hasan ibn Ribaat, from Muhammad ibn Bijil, the brother of Ali ibn Bijil ibn Aqil Al-Kufi.

“Abu Ja‘far (a.s.), once read for me (from the book) on the issue of ordained shares of inheritance the following: ‘A woman dies and leaves behind her husband,’ he (the Imam) said, ‘The entire legacy belongs to him. If a man dies and leaves behind his wife, he (the Imam) said that one- fourth belongs to her and the rest belongs to the Imam.’”

“I once asked abu Ja’far (a.s.), saying, ‘I pray to Allah to keep you well, I used to carry arms to sell to people of al-Sham. Ever since Allah has helped me to recognize the matter (Divine Authority of ‘A’immah) it bothers me, and I think I must not deliver arms to the enemies of Allah.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘You can do so because Allah repels through them our enemy and your enemy- the Romans - and sell it to them. When there is war among us, then do not carry arms to them. Those who carry arms to our enemies which help them against us, such people are like pagans.’”
