Everything in this book that is narrated from Zurara ibn A'yun has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Abdullah ibn Ja'far Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn 'Isa ibn 'Ubayd, Al-Hasan ibn Zhurayf, and Ali ibn Isma'il ibn 'Isa, all from Hammad ibn 'Isa, from Hariz ibn Abdullah, from Zurara ibn A'yun.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Halabi has been transmitted by me from my father, Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan, and Muhammad ibn Musa ibn Al-Mutawakkil - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them all - from Abdullah ibn Ja'far Al-Himyari, from Ayyub ibn Nuh, from Safwan ibn Yahya, from Abdullah ibn Muskan, from Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Halabi.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Hakam ibn Hakim, the nephew of Khallad, has been transmitted by me from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah and Abdullah ibn Ja'far Al-Himyari, from Ahmad ibn Abi Abdullah Al-Barqi, from his father, from Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umayr, from Hakam ibn Hakim.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Yahya ibn Abdullah has been transmitted by me from Ahmad ibn Al-Husayn Al-Qattan, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Sa'id Al-Hamadani, the freed servant (mawla) of Banu Hashim, from Abdur Rahman ibn Ja'far Al-Hariri, from Yahya ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Umar ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, peace be upon him.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Hafs ibn Al-Bukhtari has been transmitted by me from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them both - from Sa'd ibn Abdullah and Abdullah ibn Ja'far Al-Himyari together, from Ya'qub ibn Yazid, from Muhammad ibn Abi 'Umayr, from Hafs ibn Al-Bukhtari Al-Kufi.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Mas'adah ibn Sadaqah has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Abdullah ibn Ja'far Al-Himyari, from Harun ibn Muslim, from Mas'adah ibn Sadaqah Al-Ruba'i.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Khalid ibn Maad Al-Qalansi has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Abdullah ibn Ja'far Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn Abdul Jabbar, from Al-Nadr ibn Shu'ayb, from Khalid ibn Maad Al-Qalansi.

And whatever is narrated from Abdullah ibn Jablah, I have narrated it from my father, and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan, and from Muhammad ibn Musa ibn Al-Mutawakkil - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them - from Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn Abd Al-Jabbar, from Abdullah ibn Jablah.

Everything in this book that is narrated from Al-Qasim ibn Urwah has been transmitted by me from my father - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, from Harun ibn Muslim ibn Sadan, from Al-Qasim ibn Urwah.

And whatever is narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿIsa Al-Ashari - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - I have narrated it from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them - from Saʿd ibn Abdullah and Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari together, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿIsa Al-Ashari.

And whatever is narrated from Yaʿqub ibn Yazid, I have narrated it from my father and from Muhammad ibn Al-Hasan - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them - from Saʿd ibn Abdullah, and Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, and Muhammad ibn Yahya Al-Aṭṭar, and Ahmad ibn Idris - may Allah (swt) be pleased with them - from Yaʿqub ibn Yazid.

1. For a person who recites Azaan and Iqamah angels would stand in rows behind him. Those rows would be so wide that their ends would be unknown. And the person who offers Salaat after saying Iqamah; an angel would pray behind him.”

Everything in this book that is narrated from Abu Ayyub Al-Khazzaz has been transmitted by me from Muhammad ibn Musa ibn Al-Mutawakkil - may Allah (swt) be pleased with him - from Abdullah ibn Jafar Al-Himyari, from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn ibn Abi Al-Khattab, from Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub, from Abu Ayyub Ibrahim ibn Uthman Al-Khazzaz. It is also said that his name was Ibrahim ibn Isa.

3. [3/-] al-Faqih: Via his chain to Abdallah b. Ja’far al-Himyari who said: I asked Muhammad b. Uthman al-Amri رضي الله عنه: Have you seen the Master of this Orderعليه السلام ? He said: Yes. My last meeting with him was at the Sanctified House of Allah [Ka’ba], he was saying: ‘O Allah – fulfill for me what you promised me’. Muhammad b. Uthman رضي الله عنه وأرضاه said: I also saw him صلوات الله عليه clinging to the covering of the Ka’ba at the Mustajar [place of refuge – wall opposite the Yamani corner of the Ka’ba] saying: ‘O Allah – seek revenge for me from your enemies’.

2. [2/247] Ghayba of al-Tusi: Via his chain to Abdallah b. Ja’far who said: A Tawqi [signed rescript] came out to the Shaykh Abi Ja’far Muhammad b. Uthman b. Sai’d al-Amri قدس الله روحه condoling him for the death of his father رضي الله تعالى عنه. In it was written: … May Allah amplify your reward and beautify your mourning. We grieve just as you grieve. It [his death] has left you bereft just as it has left us bereft. May Allah delight him after his return [to Him]. One aspect of the perfect felicity [he attained] is that Allah the Exalted granted him a son like you, who succeeds him after his departure, stands in his place as per his command, and supplicates for mercy for him. I say ‘All praise belongs to Allah’ for the souls are comforted due to the position you have assumed [after him] and because of what Allah Mighty and Majestic has bestowed in you and with you. May Allah support and strengthen you. May He aid you and facilitate you. May He be a Guardian over you, a Protector, a Guide and Sufficient [for you].

8. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) said, “Taking false oaths and breaking relations are the causes of emptying cities of their residents and transfer of mercy. Transfer of mercy causes the cutting off of the progeny.”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) says, “The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, ‘A person who recites Laa ilaaha illallaah loudly is free. He crushes his sins with his feet and destroys them in the same way as dry leaves fall off from a tree’.”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his father that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “There is no man that fasts and is abused and in response he says: I am fasting, peace be on you, but that the Lord, the Blessed and the High says to His angels: ‘My slave took refuge with his fast from this person, you save him from My fire and make him enter My Paradise’.”

1. Imam Ja’far Sadiq (a.s.) narrates from his ancestors that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) was asked, “What will have salvation on the Day of Judgment?” The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) replied, “Salvation is only and only in not cheating Allah so that He also doesn’t cheat you. Surely Allah cheats a person who cheats Him and takes faith away from him. A person should know that he has cheated himself.” The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) was asked, “How does a person cheat Allah?” He answered, “By obeying the order of Allah but for the sake of someone else. Keep away from showoff because it is polytheism. Surely, a person who does showoff will be called with four names on the Day of Judgment viz. O disbeliever, O mischief-monger, O cunning, O loser! Your deeds are wasted. Your reward was reduced continuously and there is nothing left for you today. Go and ask for the reward from one for whom you performed good deeds.”

9. The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “One who usurps the wealth of a believer unlawfully, Allah will have hatred and enmity with him and his good deeds will not be accepted till he repents and returns the wealth to its owner.”
