Hadith 883

8. Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s.) said, “Taking false oaths and breaking relations are the causes of emptying cities of their residents and transfer of mercy. Transfer of mercy causes the cutting off of the progeny.”
حَدَّثَنِی مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَی بْنِ الْمُتَوَکِّلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِی عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْحِمْیَرِیُّ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنْ مَالِکِ بْنِ عَطِیَّهَ عَنْ أَبِی عُبَیْدَهَ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِی جَعْفَرٍ ع
أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِی کِتَابِ عَلِیٍّ ع إِنَّ الْیَمِینَ الْکَاذِبَهَ وَ قَطِیعَهَ الرَّحِمِ تَذَرَانِ الدِّیَارَ بَلَاقِعَ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا وَ تَنْقُلَانِ الرَّحِمَ وَ إِنَّ انْتِقَالَ الرَّحِمِ انْقِطَاعُ النَّسْلِ.
