“I once heard abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), saying, ‘When juice (grape juice) begins to simmer or boil it becomes unlawful to use it for drink.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘You can perform this Salah (prayer) during the night and on a journey, during the night or day, and if you like, you can make it part of your optional Salah (prayer).”’

abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) has said to him the following. “O Dharih, “Would we not receive (new knowledge) we will diminish (in knowledge).”said:

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘An old man must not neglect dinner even if it is one morsel.”’

“Ali ibn al-Husayn (a.s.) has said, ‘I do not like a person’s (total freedom from) suffering in the world from misfortunes.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘When can I perform al-Dhuhr Salah (prayer)?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Perform the eight Rak‘at (the optional Salah (prayer) when the sun declines (toward the west at noontime), then perform al-Dhuhr. Thereafter perform your optional Salah (prayer) for a longer or short time, then perform al-‘Asr Salah (prayer).”’

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one who passes five years without delegating himself before his Lord when he is able to do so, is in fact a deprived person.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the worldly resources are best means to overcome the difficulties of the next life.”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When you complete your nusuk (acts of ‘Umrah and or Hajj) go back; it leaves you with more desire to return to Makkah.’”

“Abu ‘ Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘The worldly resources are best means to overcome the difficulties of the next life.”’

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), about nightly optional Salah (prayer) which are missed. Can I perform the compensatory prayer for them during the day? He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, you can do so, if you are able to bear it.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘When Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, wills good for a family He grants them ease in their living conditions.’”

“I heard Abu ‘Abdillah (a.s.) saying, ‘Any believer who relieves a believer from his hardships in a constraining condition Allah will make his (helper’s) needs easily met in this world and in the next.’ The Imam said, ‘Whoever provides cover for the private matters of a believer for which he is afraid, Allah will provide cover for his (helper’s) seventy private matters of this world and in the next life.’ The Imam said, ‘Allah supports a believer as long as he supports his believing brother (in belief). You must benefit from the good advice and be interested in good deeds.’”

Abu Abdullah (asws) has said; ‘When the Qureysh went out to Badr, and the sons of Abdul Muttalib (as) went out with them, Talib (as) Bin Abu Talib (as) went out. So their poetic slogan shouters descended and they were shouting their poetic slogans, and Talib Bin Abu Talib (as) descended and shouted a poetic slogan saying, ‘O Lord (azwj)! But they are invading (militarily) with Talib, in a group from these groups, so Make him to be in a group which gets overcome and flees, which gets crucified without a crucifier, and Make him to be overcome without him overcoming’. So the Qureysh said, ‘This one will make us to be defeated, so send him back’. (And in another report from Abu Abdullah (asws) is that he was a Muslim (by then)’.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one who dies without performing Hajjahta al-Islam when nothing such as poverty, illness with which he could not perform al-Hajj, or the ruling authorities prevent him from performing al-Hajj, he dies as a Jew or as a Christian.’”

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one who dies without performing Hajjata al-Islam and without any good excuse, such as poverty, an illness with which one cannot perform al-Hajj or any ruling authority’s preventing him from performing al-Hajj, he dies as a Jew or a Christian.”

“I asked abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the Imams after the Holy Prophet (s.a.).” The Imam (a.s.) said, “Amir al-Mu’minin (Ali) (a.s.) was the Imam. Then al-Hassan (a.s.) was the Imam. Then al-Husayn (a.s.) was the Imam. Then Ali ibn Al-Husayn (a.s.) was the Imam. Then Muhammad ibn Ali (a.s.) was the Imam. One who would deny this would be as if he has denied the existence of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, and the truthfulness of Prophet Muhammad (sw).” I asked, “may Allah take my soul in service for your cause, are you then the Imam? I repeated it three times.” The Imam said, “I only said it to you so that you will be of the witnesses before Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, on His earth.”

‘I heard Abu Abdullah (asws) seeking refuge for one of his (asws) sons and he (asws) was saying: ‘I (asws) am resolved against you, O wind, and O pain, whatever creature you are, with the determination which Ali (asws) Bin Abu Talib (asws) and the Messenger (saww) of Allah (azwj) held against the Jinn in the valley of Al-Sabrah. So they answered, and they obeyed. You answer and obey, and go away from my (asws) son so and so, so of my (asws) daughter so and so, at this very moment, at this very moment’.

“I asked him (the source is not mentioned) about taking a shower in al-Haram (the sacred area) before or after entering. He replied, ‘Either way is not harmful. You may take a shower when you are in Makkah or take a shower at home when you are about to enter Makkah.’”

“I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), ‘Should people be informed to attend the funeral of a deceased person?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘Yes, people should be informed.’”
