Hadith.3404 - Dawud ibn Sirhan asked Abu Abdullah (as): About a guarantor (kafil) and a pledge (rahn) in a deferred sale (bay' al-nasi'ah). Imam (as) said: "There is no harm in it."

“I saw abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), measure dates with his own hands; and I said, ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, I wish you would have ordered certain persons of your servants or sons to help you.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘O Dawud, a Muslim cannot achieve a proper condition without three things: proper understanding of religion, exercising patience in hardships, and proper planning for his living and sustenance.’”

he said regarding a man who wishes to arrange the marriage of his sister: "He should consult her. If she remains silent, it is her consent, but if she refuses, he should not marry her off. If she says, 'Marry me to so-and-so,' then he should marry her to someone she approves of. As for an orphan girl under the care of a man, he should not marry her off except to someone she is pleased with."

"I do not consider i'tikaf valid except in the Sacred Mosque (Masjid al-Haram), the Mosque of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), or a congregational mosque. The one performing i'tikaf should not leave the congregational mosque except for a necessity that cannot be avoided, and they should not sit until they return. The same applies to women."

"The Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) participated with the Quraysh in the rebuilding of the Kaaba. The portion that came under the share of the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was from the door of the Kaaba to halfway between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, took part with Quraysh in building the House. The share of the Messenger of Allah was from the door of al-Ka‘bah up to half of the way between al-Yemeniy corner to the Black Stone.” In another Hadith, it is said that the share of banu Hashim was from the Black Stone to al-Shamiy corner.

You must prostrate whenever you read either of the following four Quranic Chapters: Al-Alaq, ‘Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created…’ (‘Iqra Bisme Rabika Al-azi Khalaq) ; An-Najm , Tanzil al-Sajdah ; and Ha-Mim as-Sajdah.”

“Before the year of the cry (from the Heaven), there will be a sign in the month of Rajab.” He was asked: “What is it?” He said: “A face will appear on the moon and a protruding hand.”

"If a man carries goods on his head and accidentally strikes someone, causing their death or breaking something, then he is liable."

“The Messenger of Allah (sw) said, ‘When you find the people of doubt and innovation after me, show your dissassociation from them and increase your insults against them, speaking against them, and exposing them, so that they do not corrupt Islam, and (so that) people be warned against them and avoid learning their innovations. Allah will record good deeds for you because of that and elevate your ranks in the Hereafter.’”

“The Messenger of Allah has said, ‘Whoever speaks of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy, often Allah loves him and whoever speaks of Allah very often, two kinds of freedoms will be written for him: freedom from fire and freedom from hypocrisy.’”

I had two sacks of musk-one was moist, and the other was dry. I started with the moist one and sold it. Then I took the dry one to sell, but I found that I was not offered the price it was worth, and they would not pay me more than the price of the moist musk. So I asked Imam (as) about that, whether it was permissible for me to mix them. Imam (as) said: "No, unless you inform them." He said: "So I mixed them and then informed them." Imam (as) said: "There is no harm in it if you inform them."

"I was in Medina during the Month of Ramadan, and I said to Abu Abdullah (as): 'I wish to perform i'tikaf. What should I say, and what should I make obligatory upon myself?' Imam (as) said: 'Do not leave the mosque except for an unavoidable necessity, and do not sit under any shade until you return to your place in the mosque.'"

“Abu ‘Ubaydah al-Hadhdha’ died and I was in al-Madinah. Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), sent a dinar and said, ‘Buy with it hunut and take notice that hunut is camphor; however, do as people do.’ When I went, he (the Imam) sent a dinar and said, ‘Buy camphor with it.’”

"He is not held liable (ma'mun)."

"If the heirs of the murdered person wish to pay the blood money (diyyah) and execute both of them, they may kill them both."

"The 'witness' is the day of Jumu’ah."

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said that one who finds something of value must (continue to) announce his finding for one year. Thereafter it becomes like the rest of his property.” (Consult fatwa also)

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Do not eat from the utensils of gold and silver.

“Abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), has said, ‘Waiting period for a divorced woman is three Hayd (menses)-free periods or three months if she does not experience Hayd (menses).”’ Humayd has narrated from ibn Sama‘ah from Ja‘far ibn Sama‘ah from Dawud ibn Sarhan from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), a similar Hadith.
