أبان بن عمر الاسدي ختن آل ميثم بن يحيى التمار، شيخ من أصحابنا، ثقة، لم يرو عنه إلا عبيس بن هشام الناشري. أخبرنا أحمد بن عبد الواحد وغيره عن أبي القاسم علي بن حبشي بن قوني قال: حدثنا حميد بن زياد قال: حدثنا القاسم بن إسماعيل، عن عبيس بن هشام بكتاب أبان بن عمر الاسدي.

أبان بن عمر الأسدي: قال النجاشي: (أبان بن عمر الأسدي ختن آل ميثم بن يحيى التمار شيخ من أصحابنا، ثقة، لم يرو عنه إلا عبيس بن هشام الناشري. أخبرنا أحمد بن عبد الواحد، وغيره عن أبي القاسم علي بن حبشي بن قوني (قوتي) قال: حدثنا حميد بن زياد، قال: حدثنا القاسم بن إسماعيل، عن عبيس بن هشام بكتاب أبان بن عمر الأسدي). هكذا في الخلاصة، وفي رجال ابن داود، والتفريشي، والميرزا، وفي المجمع. ولكن في النسخة المطبوعة: ذكر السمان قبل التمار. والظاهر أنه من غلط النساخ. وعده الشيخ في رجاله (182) من أصحاب الصادق عليه السلام، مع تبديله الأسدي، بالتمار الكوفي.
