Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) said: I swear to He who has the life of Ḥusain in His Hand, that the Banī Umayyah will kill me and they will not be satisfied with their government until they kill me. Verily if they kill me, the people will never be able to pray in congregation nor will they ever be able to spend ZAKĀT (charity) in the way of Allāh again. Verily my family and I are the first ones killed by this nation. I swear to He who has the life of Ḥusain in His Hand that the Day of Judgment will not come as long as there is even one man from the Banī Hāshim who is enjoying his life. The above Ḥadīth has also been narrated to me through the following chain: My father, from Sa’d (ibn ‘Abdillāh), from Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ‘Isā, from Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā Al-Khazzāz, from Ťalḥah (ibn Zayd), from Ja’far (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)), from his father (Imam Bāqir (a.s.)), from his grandfather (Imam Sajjād (a.s.)), from Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.).
