Abū ‘Abdillāh (Imam Sādiq (a.s.)) said: One day Ḥusain ibn ‘Ali (a.s.) was sitting on the Prophet’s lap. The Prophet (s.a.a.w.) was playing with him and making him laugh when ‘Āyishah said, “O Messenger of Allāh! How intense is your admiration of this boy!” The Prophet (s.a.a.w.) replied, “Woe onto you! How can I not love him and admire him when he is the fruit of my heart and the light of my eyes?! Verily my nation will kill him. Allāh will register the reward of one of my Hajj for those who go to his Ziyārah after his death.” “O Messenger of Allāh! One of your Hajj?” ‘Āyishah asked. “Yes, even two of my Hajj,” the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) replied. “O Messenger of Allāh! Two of your Hajj?” ‘Āyishah asked. “Yes, even four (of my Hajj),” the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) replied. ‘Āyishah kept on asking and the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) kept on increasing the rewards until the Prophet (s.a.a.w.) counted (the reward of the Ziyārah of Ḥusain (a.s.) equal) to ninety of his Hajj as well as ninety of his ‘Umrah.
